I dunno, to me it sounds like both voices have been auto-tuned to make them both sound good together. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like an ass, but most artist's voices nowadays have been autotuned to make them sound better. The only singer mainstream-wise that I know that I could listen to anyday is Danielle Bradbury's voice (probably because she actually sounds great with no autotune).
All I'm saying is, when you live with someone who has a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Music, and you yourself grew up with the talent to sing, your point of view about music changes so much lol.
True they have been auto-tuned but because that's their sound/ style as long as i remember. This kind of spacey sound is on purpose. It's just a question of taste if someone likes it or not. But i gotta say i've heard both without auto-tune too, and their voices are still lovely.
I mean I knew that too. Owl City has always been autotuned, it just kills me, and it's not just this band, it's every band or solo artist that enters mainstream. There is no more inspiration, no real sound. What happened to the young Hollywood mentality of raw talent? I mean, if it wasn't for Tony Bennett and his duet albums, I think I'd loose faith in the music industry. He made Lady Gaga, of all people, sound worth listening to. There's something about authenticity. There's something about a genuine sound that truly touches the human spirit. That's what music is and should be about.
I understand that artists like Lady Gaga and Ke$ha both have a really odd way of expressing themselves, and I understand that. It's like a theatrical way of expression, but to me it just sounds too fake. I'm sorry, the only artists that I can listen to mainstream-wise are country artists, but even that's starting to become a whole different genre. It doesn't sound like country anymore.
Sorry if people are mad about what I said above but, it's just really saddening. We're so capable of really touching someone with music. I can remember being at a college and there was a woman there who was the music teacher out there, and she was Kristen Chenoweth's voice teacher (which I have great respect for Miss Chenoweth) and she said "Music is everything. That is a fact, music is everything. It's Math, Science, History, it hits on every single possible thing you can think of. But the most important thing that music does is that it SHOULD touch someone. It doesn't matter in what way (happy, sad, etc...) but if you haven't touched at least one person in the room, then what you just sang is not music, it is simply words with a nice tune attached to it, which is what most songs are nowadays." From that day on, I've looked at music in such a different way. Young Hollywood had it. Modern Hollywood doesn't.
Jake Groeblinghoff well auto tune is something that most artists use and I'm pretty sure that adam also uses autotune. But have you heard his voice live ? It sounds amazing. Adam is one of those very few artists who can actually sing live. His raw voice is so incredible.

今まで「sekai no owari」というバンドのことは知っていたが、あまりいいイメージはなかった。
だが、元々好きなowl cityがきっかけで今日、改めて見た目で判断するのはよくないと思った。
とても綺麗な声で、聴いていて落ち着く。
むしろ好きな方だった。
