    Merry Christmas and thank you for a great tutorial 😊
    I have had a decoration making day for our four children for forty- four years, and now our grandchildren and greatgrandchilren join in as well, so that they have something really special to look back at as they all grow up. They all love this happy tradition.
    This year two of our daughters and their children are all unwell and in isolation with covid so I'm going to make these trees and leave every thing that they'll need to decorate them at their front doors.
    Happy times in spite of covid-19 yay!
    🎄🎆

    I’ve been making these and using thin strong magnets for the closures, so I can fold them up at the end of the holiday. Also using my cutting machine but cutting out a full tree shape and adding a dotted line down the middle to use as a folding aid. Then you don’t need to cut out so many pieces.

    Hi, thank you for the thorough description on how to make these beautiful trees! I was wondering, where did you find that dark green paper? I can't seem to find that colour anywhere. Thanks a million!

    Always look forward to your videos! Your trees are superb! And you're right, they remind me of the bottle brush trees! I would like to try to make them without the trunk, glue a wooden dowel in the middle, but idk how to make em stand up! Thanks so much for sharing, love everything you create :)

    i would recommend using a stencil, ruler or triangular protractor if you're not confident with cutting out the tree shape at the start.

    Is it 60 individual half trees or 60 half pairs? 🤔

    This is so beautiful.thank you for sharing. I wanna make this of 5 feet. Can you please tell how to make it in that case?

    • @pearlscrafts4823
      @pearlscrafts4823 4 роки тому +2

      Hi Sneha! 5’ is really tall! I think the issue is really finding paper that is that large in size. If you don’t mind the Kraft paper look, I think you can use rolls of butcher paper? Or even just art paper that you use for kid’s easels. To make a pattern, just use newspaper and cut out triangles. Piece together the triangles with a rectangle for the trunk, then lay that over a large piece of cardboard. Trace and then cut that out for your template. Then cut a lot of these half Xmas trees! Gluing is similar in manner to what I did but you will add glue to more places along the Xmas tree, just remember to glue in that oscillating pattern. I think it’s achievable but it will take some work! You will definitely need to use hot glue, I think.
      It makes me curious to see if I can make one out of poster paper though!

      If you want a big tree use larger paper

      Hey I just made a 4 feeter. Finding large paper was not a problem. I used ArtKraft Duo-Finish Paper Roll from Amazon. The thing was that with a mass of papers the tree got heavy, and the base may not be able to hold the tree. So I inserted three cardboard sheets between the paper sheets. It worked. I even used hook-and-loop fastener stickers at the end sheets so it could be taken apart and folded for storage. Hope this helps!

    Used vid as guide, principle works on any shape of tree wanted. Ours was more a traditional tree with curves and a trunk. Used norm pva glue to do the thin glue lines, end result came out great! Thanks for sharing

    Hi! this is the best video I have seen so far and LOVE that you included how to make the Xmas tree in the Design Studio. As a newbie to this world, you made it very simple to understand. I am currently gluing up my halves and have not worked out if I need 30 pairs or 60 pairs - please advise.
