    2 red thai chillis ( roughly chopped )
    10-15 kaffir lime leaves
    1/4 small green cabbage ( diced large )
    2-3 choy sum stacks ( sub for bok choy ) - ( diced into bite size chunks )
    10-15 cherry tomatos ( cut in half )
    5-8 shiitake mushrooms ( sliced )
    velvet pioppini mushroom

    I'm a Christian and there is no better joy or peace than knowing that God is with you through everything. Having that foundation in my life steadies me throughout all of the world's turbulence. There is no other time that I feel more connected to Him than when in nature. I just look at the beauty and get this overwhelming feeling that cannot be duplicated by anything else in life. Best of luck to you with everything.

    I was raised Christian but as I got older I felt like I resonated with it less and less. But I recently have started believing that there is truth in many religions and many religions intertwine and that there is not just one “right” religion. Learning about other religions and their practices has been very inspiring to me and makes me feel like I have a certain joy about life again that I haven’t felt in a while :)

    I was raised super religious and since finding my own self, I’m shunned from my family and community. What brings me peace now is meditation, binaural beats, tarot and oracle. But if I *had* to go to a religion again, Buddhism has my heart ❤ Something about it speaks so deeply to my soul.

    Thank you for creating this kind of content and being so true to who you are ✨ I can relate to the topics in this video so much. Living in the western world comes with so much privilege, and privilege comes with blindness, ignorance, and disconnection. Coming out of the holiday season, I am constantly reminded by the impact of culture and normalization - it is normal to generate incredible amounts of waste in the forms of food, packaging, unnecessary home items to be “festive” and join in with your family. On a normal day, there are so many habits and practices that are harmful to our Mother Earth. We live in an indulgent and thankless society here in the US. The majority of us do not pay mind to the energy we use, the products we buy and waste, and the land that we are filling with garbage. This is close to my heart, and I am speaking with vulnerability as I am not excluded from this way of living. Although I am more aware of it, there is so much work for me to do. My heart aches living this way, and I often imagine living in a tribal way, in harmony with the Earth. But the idea sounds so crazy to other people and the system we live in is so unwilling to consider going back to basics. Community gardens and farms, loving practices, less consumerism. I don’t mean to be ungrateful for the ease of life, but life isn’t supposed to be manufactured and without thought. I say this with love in my heart. Thank you for being a safe space for me to share my thoughts on this topic 💛

    Hey my friend, so one thing that brings me peace is knowing that my God loves me and he loves me desperately, that I can run to him in prayers whenever I’m facing something and he’ll provide all my need. One thing I always told myself while watching your video was that you are such a wonderful person but with God, my friend who’ll be a banger 😂❤. Christianity is all about love. I'm not vegan, but all of the foods you shared look delicious. When i eat thai food, I actually tend to prefer the plant-based options (i.e. tofu curry, tofu pad thai, etc).
    As I have gotten older and been doing the inner work, I am beginning to understand myself more - and uncover the real me.
    What makes me feel the most joy and expands my heart is having freedom and space to express and be myself completely. Being able to live life the way I desire and go after my own dreams, regardless of expectation and opinion.
    I'm learning to surrender to the flow and follow where the universe guides me. It's been a scary and fearful process, but also full of beauty.

    Honestly. Your questions are good ones and thought provoking.
    This may sound a little weird but having a hysterectomy has helped me so much in finding my true peace and happiness. I dont produce all of those people pleasing hormones anymore and its allowed me to really look at me. The last 3 years ive grown so much spiritually and mentally. Im fulfilled in living my life how tf i want to and not how anyone thinks I should. Guilt of letting others down held me back most of my life.
    And those of us that grew up in not great conditions, i think there's always some weird guilt that we've left someone behind or because we've found our success we should feel bad that someone hasn't. The part where you were talking about feeling bad about all the decisions youre making and such, sometimes that's not because we're not living right sometimes it's conditioning that we haven't worked through yet. I haven't got to meet you personally (it would be cool af to spend the day with you i think 💜) but i see you as a person. Youre a genuine being with a good soul. Some of us dont have a single "calling" we have several. It's taken me 35 years to learn that!
    Like im on this earth for the experience. Right? We are spirits in a human experience, not humans in a spirit experience. Enjoy your life and your furtune love. Be love and spread love. Because that really is our only purpose here. Everything else we get to do is just a bonus.
    Sorry for the ramble.
    You're a good human Julia. 💜

    I definitely have forgotten to ask for something without an animal product or the kitchen accidentally leaves cheese or another product on the food. I haven’t been watching your content for long and I don’t know what your full vegan philosophy is but thought it was important to acknowledge the mistakes happen even after many years following a diet, health choice or lifestyle whatever you want to call it. I haven’t see this from other vegan content creators so I appreciate that you acknowledged it. I would also probably still eat the meal even if it had egg because I would rather that food & the life of the animal wasn’t wasted or give it to someone else if possible

    Regarding your criticism of a world too accepting: consider that the “mental hell” a lot of folks experience only exists because there is a culture that criticizes their choices in the first place. It’s not the popular take, but it is the true one: there is no virtue in dietary choice or thinness/fitness, if that’s what you’re referring to. Be careful to toe the radical line.

    • @annaburke8537

    Hi Julia, I recently reverted to Islam (in September). This changed my whole life and perspective of the world and universe. I was so purposeless before, even though I had everything I wanted I still ALWAYS felt like something was missing. Islam filled in that void in my heart. Keep an open mind, don’t listen to the bad reputation the west gives it, and do some research such as reading the Quran. You might find exactly what you’re looking for if you heart is open to it 🤍 I’m a long time follower, I’ve followed you for a couple years now from since I was an atheist, then agnostic, and now Muslim. Pretty much throughout my own spiritual journey I’ve been watching and enjoying your videos. I’ve been vegan for about 5 years (in march ‘24) and love traveling so your content has always been so great to watch. Take care and stay safe 🤍

    • @pinarkak
      @pinarkak 5 місяців тому +8

      Totally agree. Real Islam does not have anything to do with what the west says or thinks about. It is full of joy and calmness. It gives the answers to the questions most people have. And I can assure you, it is the most complete feeling a person can have. Please give the Quran a chance. I feel like you are an authentic soul 🙏♥️

      I downloaded a copy of the Quran on my Kindle from Amazon and I couldn’t make it past the first 40 pages. There were over a dozen instances of condemning all other religions, especially Jewish people - saying God abandoned them and hated them. I went into this reading open-minded, as I knew nothing of the book and I do not subscribe to any other organized religion, but after reading only hate towards other groups and never getting to the spiritual part, I closed it. Now, this translation didn’t seem like the best, based on English grammar alone, and I know Kindle has dozens of translations, so I’m hoping it was the translators choice to spin things in a hateful way. I’d be willing to try reading again if you could point me in the direction of a good English translation, presuming what I read in this translation is not the actual message.

    2 things: I have never eaten tofu that isn’t cooked before. Isn’t is slimy? When going overseas I am very careful when eating raw vegetables because it can harbor bacteria that we in the western countries don’t have the immunity for. I at least boil water and soak my lettuce or other vegetables. I never eat raw salads in restaurants either because if they don’t wash it with filtered water it will also have bacteria I would not have immunity for. How do you not get stomach issues? As far as your question about joy, knowing God and having His Son as my personal Savior gives joy in my life. Happiness is based on circumstances but because I know God loves me and hold my life in His hands I am always at peace no matter the circumstances.

    You might want to consider clarifying what you’re referring to when you say the western world is too permissive and immoral. From a religious view, the guy in your bed may be immoral. From an ethical view, the animal products you consumed repeatedly in this video were produced by suffering. Personally, if it’s not my body and my life then I let it go because it’s none of my business until I hear statements like this. Sounds like that’s not your attitude towards the lives of others which impact you in no way, shape, or form. Capitalism sets the majority up for mental hell. Neuro-chemical abnormalities set a lot of people up for mental hell. Poverty sets the majority of the world up for mental hell. If you apply your moral code to others(which yours sounds pretty flexible tbh if you’re okaying your personal choices by the social norms established by your home culture), then it’s unsurprising that you’ll come to the conclusion that the majority of people are immoral.

    • @user-bl4sq7qr7j
      @user-bl4sq7qr7j 5 місяців тому +2

      THIS. Fuck yes. It's easy to judge the lives of others when you know nothing about them. It seems humans of the Caucasian variety seem particularly entitled to do so. The Caucasity is strong.

    • @juliaayers111
      @juliaayers111  5 місяців тому

      When I speak on these topics I'm also speaking to myself, I in no way shape or form believe I am above or know more than others. These thoughts are a reflection of myself, my own experience with mental hell and doing things that aren't in alignment with who I want to be. Many people are in the same spot as me and I speak on these things not to judge or put hate others but because I hope others take the time to reflect and become happier. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of control over how the world is run but we can make our own personal choices. Just because we have less doesn't mean we should steal or hurt others to gain more for ourselves for example.

    First time watching any of your videos. Your comment on how the world is too accepting and we are living immoral lives is a major turn off to watching any more of your videos. No need to judge others on how they live their lives, it’s none of your business.
