  • Here are some of the steps to make your rotating christmas tree village stand. Of course you would need a rotating tree stand. The best one which holds the most weight is the home heritage gold rotating tree stand.

    We got it up and revolving last Saturday ! I wish I could send you a picture. I used resin in the tree stand with the 1" pipe. I w went with a 10" between my 1st layers on the bottom for my taller village pieces. Everyone is in love with it !

    I am so excited that I came across your posting! I have been racking my brain on how to get my "Village Tree" to rotate with power. I ordered all of the parts off Amazon and plan to build one this weekend! Thank you for posting and I did subscribe.

    I am a little confused sir how did you manage to pass ⚡ Thur each level with out twisting the cables?

    • @stephanl9216
      @stephanl9216  2 роки тому

      The 2 extensions cords that I bought pass through each platform. The base of the rotating christmas tree stand has 2 plug in spots. That section of the stand also rotates with the tree so that the plugs also rotate with it at the same time

    What exactly did you use between the pipe and the attachment for the stand? You said it was from a bike….

      Hi yes its in another video for the transition piece from the stand to the first platform

    • @stephanl9216
      @stephanl9216  Рік тому

      It was a plastic sleve to add more size to the pipe so it fit snug and tight. It was part of a bike attachment. You might be able to use a piece of plumbing tube and find the size you need

    How much weight will it turn? I have the exact same setup but different stand (rated for 90lb) and it will not turn after adding about 20 houses

    • @stephanl9216
      @stephanl9216  Рік тому

      Yea that's one of the reasons I went with the more durable and bigger stands because of the weight of the wood platforms plus houses can really put a strain on the motor. Also it might help to get really light villages and houses made of plastic instead of porcelain and glass type materials

      Hi thanks so much for the subscribe. These are from home depot. They are the 9ft flocked garland. I drilled small holes all around the near edges of the round platforms and then zip tied the garland through the holes.

    You think I can use PVC pipe I want something lighter

    • @stephanl9216
      @stephanl9216  Рік тому

      Yea I mean if its like half the size tree you are making the pvc might be ok. There was previous comment below mentioning they used pvc and it wobbled so I would take that into consideration becasue the xmas villages can be heavy or light and cause wobbling. It doesn't hurt to try and see how it comes out or just buy a smaller size threaded pipe instead of 1 foot pipes like I used.

    hello I just made one similar to yours but it turns out that it goes to the sides it doesn't fit straight I don't know if it's because of the weight or the height on each shelf I bought the same heritage these are the measurements 42",36",30",24",18",12", but the wood is 1" thick and the flanges and pipes are made of sprinkles pvc which is very hard the pipe is 1" x 12" the height of each shelf is 13 1/4" I used the coupling of 1.25 "that comes in the base a 1"x4" pipe a coupling and a 1"x2" pipe the coupling fit perfectly in the entrance of the base super tight I just lowered it a little with sandpaper and the level of the base to I left the first shelf below 2" high for the cables that connect what you think is happening to me that it goes to the sides will be due to the weight of each wooden shelf and the height I am calculating in weight with everything and pipes flanges screws and nuts like 80 pounds, do you think if I leave it 10" high each shelf will be solved

    • @stephanl9216
      @stephanl9216  Рік тому

      Hi what is the pipe made of that you are using? I used the steel pipes so they are strong. Weight could be an issue but if everything is similar to mine and tightened properly it shouldn't sway or wobble. You would have to show me a video of it moving and what the issue is

    • @chuy0720
      @chuy0720 Рік тому

      @@stephanl9216 I already found the problem, they were the PVC pipes that I was using, although they were for sprinkles, which is a harder PVC than white PVC, they did not support the weight, in the end I used the same system as in your video, the 1" pipes and flanges just in the base I used the pvc a 2" pipe, a 4" pipe and a socket or coupling that measures 2.5" long, this fit very well in the entrance of the base in total 8" leaving 2" of height between the base and the first shelf to connect the electrical cables and use the 1.25" adapter that comes in the base, thanks for your video.
