Sublime musique !!! Ce motif , qu'on peut nommer "Salut au monde " , est développé en longueur , ce qui exprime au mieux le réveil de Brünnhilde dans un autre monde ,après un si long sommeil ! ( cf . " Die Walküre " ) Utilisation magistrale des" leitmotive " !!!
I am pleased to report (to those who may not know) that dear Gwyneth, 72 in November, was married on 31st May 2008 to the conductor, Adrian Muller. Many congratulations to both of them. Ho-jo-to-ho, etc.
Jones had a much bigger voice. I heard them both live. Nilsson had super focused high notes but not the biggest voice on the stage at the time. For example there was Ursula Schoder-Feinen.
@@AgoranteI also think many Wagnerian sopranos, to the extent that there are many now, have a difficult time with the “softer” parts in the role. I always found Nilsson too “steely” for Siegfried and in the end of the Third Act of Die Walkure.m, or, for that matter, as Isolde. Jones had issues with pitch, but overall, she has the voice and character down.
Für mich die Allerbeste und Schönste.
