Hello Angela, I am so happy & excited to see what you are doing …and that it is in MALAYSIA💕. I love Malaysia. I come every year there, but because of the pandemic sutuation it has been difficult to travel since 2 years. Hope the borders will reopen in March🙏🏻. And what a coincidence in my country my favourite radio is Lite FM. I hear this radio every day and every where I go..in the car, at home…🥰 . I wish you lots of luck in what you are doing. Take care Angela. God bless you
Thank you so much!! They seem to have retracted the March 1st open borders so not sure when you can make it back to Malaysia but hopefully soooooon :-)
KL is such a sleeper for Western travelers. Great public transit, TOP TIER FOOD (I absolutely recommend Malaysia for the full belly crowd). I've hopped around all SE Asia, Malaysia is my favorite. Don't visit Malaysia. I want it all for myself. If you do visit, have some char kway teow, have some street Dahl. Love love love Malaysia.
Heyyy you can try eat rendang next hehe, gordon ramsay came here personally to learn making rendang - you should try! (P/s - personally i feel that malay foods are underrated among foreigners here). But mamak is da best.
From your vlogs, I know its been an adjustment for you but glad you are settling in back in KL and positive things are starting to happen. So many of us have been affected by COVID restrictions in different ways but glad for you Malaysian travel restrictions are being lifted.
Love your content! Any insights on how to stay in Malaysia long term ? As a Canadian, 90 days is given, but I'm trying to explore more ways to extend my stay without applying for the MM2H pass( which as you already know is quite heavy on the pocket!). Thanks, and please continue making these great videos!
Thanks, wishing you good luck in sorting that. I work here and am not looking to stay permanently so I haven't looked into Malaysia's long-term visa...
Thanks so much!! So excited to hear my 1st episode tomorrow on Lite FM, going to be a bit surreal :-) I'll be listening like everyone, haven't heard it yet in final edit
Actually our M'sian version of Tom Yam instant noodle is not that spicy. If you like the more spicy version can try the Mala instant noodle or some spicy Korean instant noodle
Just watched your video, so I missed your debut with lite fm yesterday. Will try to catch it next Friday. BTW, just one silly question, are you in any way related to the hilarious late Johnny Carson? I looooved his unassuming way while cracking rib tickling jokes. Anyhow, good luck with your new endeavor here in Malaysia, hope everything is smooth and pleasant!
Thanks so much! No, no relation :-) And if you want, you can listen to yesterday's radio segment here with drone footage of Balochistan edited in, just posted to my UA-cam channel ua-cam.com/video/rOnGkWO4PEQ/v-deo.html

Hello Angelo. Just wanted to get your personal opinion on this subject matter. When westerners move to foreign countries, they call themselves "expats". However when foreigners move to their country, they call those foreigners "immigrants". Do you agree there's a double standard here and therefore we should also called those foreigners as "expats" rather than "immigrants"? I was called an "immigrant" when I moved to the United States, but when Americans move to my country, they call themselves "expats" instead of "immigrants" 🤷♂
I've been an illegal immigrant, a legal immigrant ... and an expat :-) This is an old page on my blog that I took down so you'll see it doesn't have pretty photos anymore but the text is all there. I used to share MY PERSONAL JOURNEY on my blog. It shows the times I was an immigrant, and expat and also a digital nomad: www.angela-carson.com/personal-journeys/ Immigrant vs expat isn't about the country you're from. It's about intention. An immigrant relocates to a country with the intention of staying. An expat moves for a short time (months or years) but has zero intention of staying forever. A lot of ignorant people (not you, I refer to racist or bigoted folks) use the term immigrant as something negative, as if it means someone is from a lower socio-economic class. When in truth it has nothing to do with it.
Hi, I just wanted to know if you could give the name of the apartment builiding, im moving to Malaysia in a few months and that place looks really nice! thanks :)
Sure, I have a full tour video coming out Sunday I think in case you want to see. This is the former Fraser Residence, now called 188 Suites by Subhome (they are the company I used, paid low move-in cost and no agent fee).
Just found your channel. Considering move to Malaysia. Want to build a home. Trying to find resource for prefab home builders. Any thoughts or suggestions. Grateful for any help.
Hey Maha, honestly Oman and Saudi are top on my list in the ME, I'm not very interested in Dubai (I would go to visit friends that live there, it's just not high on my bucketlist if that makes sense). What made you ask? Is a favourite for you?
@@AngelaCarson Saudi is definitely worth a visit (i was born there!) its an interesting time since the country is changing alot. I absolutely fell in love with Dubai when I went in 2020 and there are a ton of hotels and restaurants that I can totally imagine you making videos about!
From measat satellite launch, ananda krishnan, a Malaysian billionaire, started companies ie binariang, then astro, d cable tv, maxis, d mobile communication provider n d maxis hq in KLCC next to d twins. AK was d dep chairman of KLCC Holdings, d developer for d KLCC project. Why don't u try your luck getting a sponsor from Astro for your Malaysian mosque project.
Have u heard of Ananda Krishnan, or people call him AK. I've met him since my days working with d KLCC project. He, d former deputy chairman of KLCC, n d late Tan Sri Azizan, d former chairman of KLCC, also d former chairman of Petronas always pass my workstation n my boss office on d way to d holding room before any board or steering committee or management meeting at d previous KLCC site office, now part of d land is d KLCC CEC n Traders Hotel. AK's office always offer hamper on eid for me n always gave Californian dates to d KLCC employee for d office iftar or buka puasa gathering in Ramadan, I was lucky to get d whole box one time. D Californian dates r so big, almost double d size from d middle eastern dates, sometimes more than 3 inches, delicious. He has a private jet n my boss used it once for a biz trip to Manila. My boss also used his apt in London for his family vacation. I was offered to use d apt if I go to London but it didn't happen. When Astro first started, some of d KLCC employees were given free Astro dish satellite. Lots of good things happen to me when I was working in KLCC. I've made a bad decision leaving d company by applying for a voluntary separation scheme that left me without a job for 4 years, n I didn't know that I had my first depression. I joined MIDA with a salary less than a third of what I earned in KLCC n after Mumbai, I got a second depression that made me think really hard with my bad decisions. I was aiming from MIDA to go, work n live in Europe n it didn't happen. Sometimes, it's hard to see that I'm heading for d wrong decisions, n it's quite difficult to make a better change. 🙂
Very nice video. Everything looks delicious or comfortable. lol. Btw, unfortunately the borders will not open March 1. That was a recommendation from a government committee that the government didn't agree with. However, the PM is expected to make an announcement any day now. One thing though. The SOPs may not be as simple as other countries. In other words, they may be patterned off the Langkawi travel bubble where you need to test frequently and require a guide to go anywhere, at least for the first 5 to 7 days depending on vaccination status (after that you're a free traveler). Put simply, don't expect the opening to accommodate mass tourism yet (although I hope I'm wrong.)
