I honestly didn't pick up on that. I know racism was prevalent all those years ago, and people of color were usually slaves. But I'm curious to know how you put it together based on what he said cause it completely went over my head when he explained why he left. Not trying to be disrespectful, I just want to know the hints so I don't be insensitive or offensive in situations where that may happen.
@@MireilleAntone I don't know about everyone else, but for me it was the way he was holding himself, and how hesitant he was to answer when they asked. Like he didn't want to make a big deal of it so he talked around it instead of fully acknowledging it until they moved on. I've said really similar things when I thought someone might be being homophobic toward me. Also just the fact that everyone else there was white, so context clues. Hope that helps.

I feel bad too especially because it’s a ship with entities from the early 1900s which was a time where racism was very present.
@@ig7036 he didn’t come right out and say it, but when he got up and left during the first seance, he was trying to say that he thought he was affecting the success of it because of his color. he knew the time period, and knew that racism was very prevalent during the time when the ship was actively carrying passengers.

I feel bad that they think that every time they loose clips that no one will believe them ( around 1:00:00 ), but they have done this for so long and i believe them. I don't think they absolutely need footage to prove things you just need to know when they are genuinely scared or shocked or anything like that.

Most of the ship’s tragedies happened between 1934 and 1985-when racism wasn’t even a second thought and was encouraged greatly- and most of the spirits probably hated him there until he left

As a person who used to watch Matt’s videos, a lot of his “skin colour” jokes were.. intended to be a joke. It’s like apart of his humor in a way. He would always say like.. “white people always investigate” whenever he would react to an animated “horror true story” videos. But this time, it was different. I just remembered not caring that much about the joke because I knew that it was just a joke. But this time it felt real. He could’ve easily pulled it off like a joke saying “maybe it’s because I’m black” but you can tell that he could not say it.

Yo so if you haven't formatted the SD card yet with the lost footage send it to a data recovery center. The way SD cards function even if you delete a clip from the camera itself the information is still saved. The only way the clips are truly deleted is if you then go and record over that space which unless you completely filled the SD card it likely didn't happen since your recording in HD. Or if you fully format the SD card which erases everything at once. The reason it doesn't show up is your camera deletes the 'pathway' to view the information but if it isn't recorded over, data centers know how to repair those pathways and recover that footage. Also it looks like you guys are using a Sony A7siii which has dual card slots so you can record onto a backup SD card incase you don't want this to happen again. Use a second SD card to prevent this from happening on your next investigation. Also send that one SD card to get the video recovered. Unless you've used it since then which is likely since you guys have recorded more stuff since that night. If this ever happens again take the SD card out immediately, use a backup and send the card off to a lab. Hope this helps!

Actually what Amanda said is over time the bodies of the spirits become more disembodied so what I think is that it's just trying to send out a message of like "meet me somewhere and I'll give you answers" or "meet me somewhere and I'll help and protect you" something like that.

Seeing how Matt removed himself thinking he was the problem because of his skin color is so heartbreaking. He was being so distant and quiet the rest of the video, it sucks how oblivious the rest of the group is when he’s trying to explain that him being black is the problem. I just want to give him the biggest hug ever I wish they would’ve noticed and comforted him and it’s just so heartbreaking I just hated seeing him remove himself from the room just from everyone so they can communicate to the ghosts. Opinions can carry on even after the past life and if a racist ghost was in there it just makes me wanna cry especially at 54:23 when he was in the hallway and you could see him in the back and he started talking and was so quiet when he did, I really wanna cry for him Matt is so amazing and this was so unfair for him to distance himself and him feeling like he shouldn’t or can’t talk so he doesn’t bother any spirits is so extremely sad. for anyone who is watching this and is worried that your gonna get haunted, your not. No entities or spirits can go through a screen and or give you bad energy you also cannot have bad energy through just a video. You are safe under gods protection and everyone else's protection, drink some water and have a good rest ❤❤
Spirits can not pass through a screen indeed. But negative emotions such as fear and anxiety can trigger spirits in your own proximity, or at worst cause entities to form where there previously wasn't any.
Now, no spirit or entity can actually harm you. Spook you of course, try to communicate, but never can they physically do you harm. So be respectful, be careful and be calm. And everything will be alright

the way that matt was trying to explain how he speculated that the spirits were against him because of the color of his skin makes me so sad. there was a time period where others were legitimately God awful to colored people and the ship was built in that time. makes me sad that there was people like that and still are to this day.

@@cynthiaumana2006 I haven't got a time stamp but when they're sat in that big room hearing all the knocks and then he gets up and walks away. When he comes and sits back down with them he explains why he did it but its as if he's trying to explain that it could have been because of the colour of his skin, without actually saying that's what it was because of. Sam, Colby, me and a buddy of mine once held a little seance in a random barn we found which was abandoned. We had recorded the whole thing on both our phones we hid one phone and had the other with us. We had watched your video right before doing the seance and using two filming devices really helps with tricking ghosts. I 100% believe you on this. We had strait answers from our ghostly haunting with knocks. Me and my friend both love your content and I have believed 100% from your previous videos. But that whole haunting experience just added another 10% to my beliefs. TYSM for all the content it is amazing. Keep hunting!
I understand how Matt feels! As a Black person wanting to explore haunted places, you have to be extra careful. Racist people can be just as racist in the afterlife. It’s not impossible at all, so him being in a place of discomfort and discouragement makes complete sense. He didn’t have to literally say that for us to understand that’s exactly where he was coming from. As soon as he got up and removed himself, I caught on.

Darling don't give these ghosts what they want. It's like in the past how, in the fight for equality, the KKK would murder innocent black people in order to make poc afraid. If you say you need to take extra precautions because of who you are, your giving them what they want. They (the bad spirits) want you to fear them more than they want living white people to fear them.
There's nothing wrong with being careful sure. But if you want to go explore places like this, you can't let these kind of things hinder your exploration. You need to go in and say loud with pride "Yo racist b*tches I'm here. I'm a black woman and I'm exploring this place. You don't like it? Tough! I'm not going to let you run me out! Times have changed and you can either accept it or move on to the afterlife!".
Now of course if actual things get flung at you that could hurt you (like a brick or sharp metal piece), then yeah get the f*ck out of dodge. And of course bring any kind of holy relic with you so you don't get possessed or scratched. But otherwise, go in with your head held high and make sure you exert an air of confidence about yourself. Show these ghosts that their backwards ideologies are not going to stop you from going in and having fun.

honestly the fact that that clip got deleted makes this even more believable. that’s exactly what happened 3 years ago, and the fact that the clip just randomly got deleted meaning it had to have been something that didn’t want to be filmed. it got smarter since last time, 3 years ago it was voice recorded and now it took the time to delete specific clips of talking to it.
I feel like you can tell when someone is being unauthentic and I don’t think that is the case. I wish I could get to that room before they close the ship.

I personally believe you. I have been watching your ghost hunting videos for a while now. There were 2 videos that really stuck with me. The one with the haunted doll that you shouldn't look into its eyes and then the conjuring videos which really made me confirm my suspicions of the paranormal being real. When I watched the video with doll, I looked into its eyes and then I had a really bad, pulsing headache for the rest of the day. I became dizzy and lightheaded as well. It was in a haunted museum that you guys went to with Amanda and Kat. Ever since watching your videos I have become more adapted to detecting certain things that others might not notice. I want to thank you all for showing me the world beyond ours. Love everything you do and love you guys!! Please continue to be amazing!!

If you look at her face as she enters, it seems she is looking at something that was in there with them(by the looks of it, above them or taller than them) and by the looks of her facial expressions, it terrified her, I assumed she forced that happiness immediately so she wouldn’t alert the group or whatever she saw, it could’ve been a tall evil entity or the demon known as the “crawler” that allegedly haunts the place too, so maybe she saw it hanging on the ceiling(the crawler apparently crawls on the walls and ceilings of the ship)
When Matt walked away, beforw he even said anything I had the same thought. Had wondered at the idea before too. That certain spirit would refuse to interact with a black person in the room.
On a lighter note, it is heart warming to see the confusion from the group when he said he thought it might be "him". That they wouldn't even think of something like that.

It breaks my heart to see Matt all uncomfortable, and now realize what's going on there. I didn't even consider he thought the ghosts might be racist until I saw comments expressing it.
