    Ed discusses the internet and eCommerce penetrations in China, the reasons for the phenomonal growth in online shopping in China and the major market players like Alibaba and Jingdong (JD.com).

    And china and especially alipay operates as the dominant player who owns the cross border payment for chinese to buy overseas. But why they hell can't any foreigner just use alipay global to buy straight from china and do business. Ask them this. They will say that incoming money is not possible. They can all do this, but it is government controled.

    nice all this cross border talk, but a foreign company always need to go through agents and such + for a chinese to setup on amazon or other platform or social media platform is 10x more easy. Imagine a foreigner does all the things himself in china. Start with a payment gateway he can fully control, I guess not
