I just painted my main living area, kitchen and halls Cedar Key, and I love it. I replaced SW Kilim Beige. It drops the golden quality out but is still warm. And it’s a touch lighter. My fireplace and flooring have a reddish quality that fits perfectly. I have a ton of western and southern light so it works much better.

I’ve not heard of Cedar Key. Thanks for highlighting, no pun intended, a beautiful color. I’m going to try it with a Bit of Sugar and then Galveston Gray/Bit of Sugar in an adjoining room. Thanks.
Maybe because I am painting a bedroom with similar tones, I find this palette to the best one you have thrown out in the last month, Bonus for me: I have Arsenic on my kitchen ceiling (which needs to be repainted); Hello Webster Green! Thnx
Yes Patrick!! Arsenic rulesssss
In another eerie coincidence, I have been rethinking some plans in my reno's future re expense and farther-future resale, not making the "perfect" the enemy of the functional good. I was dreaming of doing the bathroom in zelige tile on the walls in addition to replacing all fixtures and the floor someone put wall tile with white grout on. In contemplating distinct paint colors I like that won't make flesh look alarming, I'm currently thinking Smoked Oyster.
I like the colors in this color palette. I like that you included the darker trim color. The darker colors and green are all nice in this group.
Used cedar key as an accent in my offf-white and wood kitchen (white walls, dark wood beadboard and cabinets) and it has just the right amount of depth and interest while still being light and bright.
I really like River Reflections and Deep Creek 💙
I’m digging it!
You’re definitely the dopest on the internet, made more dope by using words like “dopest”. Yes!
It’s crazy you did this video because a couple of days ago I watched your video on aged beige and started googling and came across cedar key and decided to use it in my bedroom.
That is a bit spooky hahah
How do you like it please, I’m looking for a light colour for a small east facing bedroom. Would appreciate your opinion, thanks so much
I love your Mighty Boosh reference. ahahah so good
Webster Green is gorgeous and love all the other taupes. Another curated winner.
I’ve been looking for a warm neutral beige. Cedar Key is it!! Thanks❤
This is a great palette……up-to-date and still pretty timeless……I am a devoted lover of grays but need a break. I also secretly love Arsenic (F&B) but am a little nervous about committing to it……
It is a lovely color but, for me at least, the off-whites are more fresh and also pair more easily, such as the Cotton Balls in my living room with Sea Salt in the dining room. The dining room is through a large arch so there is clear demarcation, but it's still highly visible and they work so well together.
I absolutely love that you're giving us these awesome dark trim choices. Thanks James.
I really love this one!
Really like this-rethinking the recently renovated bathroom that still needs to be painted. Have white-ish calcutta marble on the floor and creamy off white, hand cast subway tile in the shower and 42” up the wall as a wainscot surround. Waffling between something like this or going with one of the Farrow & Ball blues. Help!
Sounds like my new bathroom. I painted the top half of the room and the ceiling with a very light silvery bluish white.
Great video and information
Can you make a pallet that is for rentals?? Pretty please!
Palette, please 😉
would Cedar Key work with Pashmina, which I still love for my trim and doors? You had suggested Natural linen in another video, but it feels a bit too yellowy for me.
Hi James! Your videos have my mind racing LOL Do you have any videos on paint colors that go with light blonde cabinets?
Too much depth? I didn't know there was such a thing.
