For years i been struggling with sheetmetal bending the wrong way etc....i now feel like a bit of an idiot, not having watched great videos like this one....i now have left and right cut snips, cheers 👍👍
the yellows are straight cut snips, you need the reds and greens
Excelente demostracion!!!
Muchas gracias por tu tiempo, me sirvió de mucho!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Another tip cutting outlets in half round gutters, I use daily. either stab the trough through or drill an 1.5 inch hole cut one ragged cut all the way around .5 inches inside or so. Follow up with a nice clean cut to your mark, this can be accomplished with either R or L snip with out the back and fourth between the two. Offset snips can be very helpful with a lot of the longer straight cuts on flat material, I use offsets for flat dimensional trim and aviation style for patterning or cutting circles.
Thanks mate for posting this video!
Nice video! I have 12 pairs of tin-snips
In my tool box I have never used now I know how to use them
haha, LOL
You are awesome, man!
LOL, Thanks 😆👍
Got it! Thanks for a great video!!
Thanks for the video - alas, my snips have red and green handles, and no, the Red pair is not for Right, and the Green one is Left - thanks Amazon!
They are not left and right handed snips they are straight /left cut and straight/ right cut.
Yellow snips are straight
Thanks
Your welcome 🤗
No drill need just a tip of a screw driver and hammer, and you should be able to cut a circle with one pair and way to many relief cuts for that small cuts
Great info..thanks for the video.
Thanks BW, glad you enjoyed it!
Only issue I got is finding a good pair of the straight aways.
Why not just use offset snips?
Can’t u just do that with the same snip
No worries.
masttt
use some offsets bro way faster
+Ricardo Salazar Cheers, Thanks for the tip Ricardo.
What are off sets? I'm green
Bloody hell, wouldn't let you sheet my bed!
I hope I never have to 😬
why wouldnt you just use offset snips. you can cut the whole length without that stupid relief cut you're making...
J russ whats an offset?
Do without the crazy music noise!
That’s was fucking painful
Hope your not on price....i would sack you lol
Thanks 😁
Reds are right hand snips and you are going bald
+maavrick Thanks for the heads up on both mate :) I love it when people take the time to leave helpful comments, have a great day!
Red right would make sense, but they are not, Reds are left. At least where I come from. Ain't nothing wrong w baldness, shows testosterone in a better way than you just did.
Crystal Burnham Thanks Crystal 😁
Our Build No, thank you, did a good amount of trim thx to your video. What would make me want to use the straight vs the left (yellow vs red snips)? One comment said yellow not for long cuts?
Left and right handed snips aren't designed and designated by which hand you use them in. They determine the direction of the offcut and the side the metal distorts during the cut. As for the original person who posted, left is red, right is green, just like with port and starboard lights on a ship or boat.
