A few years ago, a coworker told me I was selfish for having one child; I should have more. I told her I had things to do and that popping out multiple kids wasn't what my husband and I agreed upon. Meanwhile, she had 4 kids with her ex-husband, was running around with a boyfriend for many years, and never remarried. Some people need to mind their business and leave people alone.
People always have advice for others that they should heed themselves

😢 Wow! I needed to hear this. I'm 60 yrs old, never married. I was told years ago, I was gonna be an old maid. When I see couples, I felt bad for myself. And wondered why God? Am I still single? But, this video popped up. And I feel better. I'm gonna embrace my single life and love it. Thank You!
I'm 68, married twice, divorced twice. Marriage never defined me. I always had so much to do no matter what. Life is amazing. Keep going sis! Get an amazing dress, buy a ring, order an awesome cake, invite some friends over, tell them to bring champagne, and marry yourself!

I am an educated, trained communicator/writer (former college professor) with years of professional experience, but decided in my late 40s that I wanted to write novels. I started writing novels after age 50 and have now written ten novels and I'm currently working on number eleven. Last year, my sister and I worked with six other women to write a non-fiction, doctoral studies book that presents the struggles, challenges, and joys of eight women of different ethnicities who earned their doctoral degrees. It is more than just a doctoral studies book; it is a book about women overcoming, working toward and achieving important goals. I think it is critical to find what gives you joy in life, beyond marriage and children, to fully realize all you can be, married or single.

I am 31 years old, single and celibate, a homebody at that. I truly believe that a woman has her own identify and purpose with or without a husband. I hated the idea of marriage before because of my mum's experience and my aunties too who suffered in marriage. I turned it down when it knocked while I was 23 years old and I don't regret it because it wouldn't have worked out. I wasn't ready. God has healed me from the pain and fears I had then and when I'm ready, He'll lead me to my husband. However, we don't lose ourselves because we're not married and have no children. My agemates in marriage aren't happy, some already lost their husbands and others are very sad and bitter in marriage. So let's just live and love and work on us. God is faithful. He knows what He's doing

The best thing i ever did was have my daughter at 36. I felt so settled in myself where i could devote my time to her. Because my intentions are to make sure she is good God has blessed me above an exceedingly to provide for her. I would not have children before 29. You spend your 20s making all the life mistakes and dragging children through that could have been rough.
That "clap back" lady said it all... there's no competition. I'm several decades younger than her and I agree with her wholeheartedly. She's not my competition, she's my inspiration. I pray I make it to her age and stage in life. I never understood the idea of competing with a seasoned woman, when instead, you could spend your time learning from her. Fumi, I've been watching you for some time & I really appreciate how you as an older aunty show us younger women how to live, love & navigate life. You encourage us not to give up..especially if we've reached an age where society deem us "too old for marriage/love" becuase we all deserve someone. I was encouraged when you told your story of how during modelling you had "friends" who were not true & even your hubby told you to be aware of them. I love that you did the work & you're the best version of yourself!
