Thank you!!! This cleared up half of the semester of confusion handed out by my professor.
This one best T statistic explanation for someone new to statistic (like me). Thanks very much for your time to help people.
Otis since links are not allowed on youtube. Could you post a link to this on the MyBookSucks Facebook page (see link in video description) and I will look over your research.
@tibit111 Appreciate the feedback. I will redo the voice over. Thanks.
You are the best statistics professor that I've ever seen! Thanks a lot and greetings from Brazil! ***More videos please!!****
Thank you for making it so clear and simple. Definitely the best example I've seen yet.
That is great to hear. Make sure you like Mybooksucks on Facebook (see link in video description). This will help others find the videos.
The best explanation I've seen yet.
Excellent presentation. If you are looking to confirm the "Research Hypothesis", you are looking for a "one direction" result - thus the use of the one-tail test. I also found that use of the Excel program is the best way to find the "P" value - rather than looking up the number in a "t" table. Thanks!
Απλός και κατανοητός. Υπέροχος. Ευχαριστώ πάρα πολύ.
Simple and understandable. Marvelous. Thanks very much.
not sure why? You may try to exit your browser and restart. If this persists, then please let me know.
That is a great point about the p-value. I should create a short video showing how easy it is to get a p value using Excel.
Wow! Now I actually understand. Thank you so much! Great use of technology and teaching style!
Thanks for the video.
Just a question from where do you have the standard deviation value?...or in other words the control group should not have a deviation =0 (Supposedly the control group is the reference group)
If you are doing a two sided hypothesis test, why was your test statistic you looked up not alpha/2 ?
your tutorials are awesome!! can you tell me what software have you used to create these tutorials? thanks
Elegant as always, but I would like to suggest the means of the two samples to be compared with two colored distributions. Also, the sampling distribution is a t-distribution in this case.
Excellent explanation! By the way, how to make videos with flying text?
Magic Magic and Magic. This really helps with my son's AP stats test
Chris Hu Great to hear and good luck to your son.
Hi Statistics-Fun: Let me add this personal clarification. When a person says "Sample Standard Deviation", it is never clear WHICH "Sample". For instance: 2, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 7, 9. You calculate "S" = 2.0, I do it that way. But the "estimate" of the "S" is 2.138. If you are doing formal calculations - remember WHICH "Sampe" you are using. This is just to help a person who is getting into these details - or is in a formal study.
I am very pleased to watch your great videos.
Can you report your t statistics in p value format. lets say it was p value > or < alpha value?
In my question s.d is not given then what should I do now? Which formula do I use to find s.d as I tried already but can't calculate s.d
If the numerator is 0 then the score will be 0 too. A score of zero indicators there is no difference in the two means.
how did you get standard deviation without frequencies?
Sir is this student t test or sme other one. Actually there are different types of t test can you please brief about that?? and exactly whats d difference between them??
amritpaul010 I would encourage you to watch my playlist on t tests. ua-cam.com/play/PL8B759A5C1C5C12AF.html
thanks
Yeah it worked.
explained beautifully!
Which t-test shd be used to find out length weight relationship
What happens if you have the same sample mean for both sets of data? How do you divide with a 0 as numerator?
Thank you for excellent explanation. My calculator shows df=16,9322. ?
But everything else is perfectly matched.
very helpful. bless you
You're awesome.
But why can't I use a one-sided test for my clinical research superiority study ? No video will tell me that...
You can use a one sided for when the alternate hypothesis is "greater than" or when it is "less than". When the alternate hypothesis is "different than" you must use a two sided to check if the alternate is greater or less than.
Great video but I wish it was at least 720p.
Thank you so much.
Sir explain standard deviation
what determines the confidence?
See my response to Hardeep. The confidence level is provided in the question.
I am not sure I posted correctly - but you can check my Facebook page. You can also find *me* on Google, but entering, "MyopiaFree", or Otis S. Brown. (See picture of pilot). Then click on "Book". I propose this study for pilot-engineers who understand statistics entering a four year college.
why its not playing on my screen? Does anybody there who get the same problem?
Many thanks!
