I bought a 81 in 1984 right out of high school it was the first car I went in debt for working at a local restaurant for 3 years to get that beauty black and gold bandit package the day I got it my mom had to go get it for me cause I was working 2nd shift washing dishes I'll never forget how long that night lasted it was great to get home and take off
I had one identical to this in high school only it was silver, it was the silver anniversary edition... Then like a fool 5 years later I traded it off for a 300ZX turbo, only because it looked like a little Ferrari... If I could turn back Time I would still have my Trans Am
Raced a friend in my 75 Mustang. He lost both races. What he didn't know is that I was running a 400hp 68 289 with a new Trans and a 411 in the back end. Great times. Gave him is money back : )

I remember that a relative started with a Mercury Capri, but then traded it in for a gold color Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am.
Beautiful car pontiac trans am is my dream .very muscle car 🇺🇸👍😎
Let the good times roll ,and the Trans Am pipes smoke & the rubber burn 🔥🔥⚔️🔥🔥
That's a true Big Fellas Whip
I thought these were all 301 turbo cars by the 80's. Supposedly, the Pontiac 400's were phased out by now.
This one was rebuilt with the 6.6 400 replacing whatever it had.
I think 1979 was the last year of the 6.6 powered T/A's.
@@RoninTXBR549 yes, and the were all 4 speeds

Adult driven is the key!
They take off the ugly side trim looks so much better without it.
