I don't own the rights , simply want to support and promote my favourite artist
63 yrs. old here. You gotta have nads to do this song, even more to convince two incarnations of Utopia to do it. Incredible 🤩
I think he was the same age back then
It's September 14, 2020 and I play this track in my car regularaly. In fact I played it two days ago.
Some music doesn't age...despite the listener getting old and crusty!!
It's a killer track!
I play this record a lot. You are right it just doesn't get old. The Ikon in particular is a masterpiece.
Magic happening in me.....now I hear this again 45 years later.
It's a classic!
Fantastic performance of one of the greatest prog-rock songs of all time. I love it!
Todd is Godd
Todd is the best! He is nominated for the 2019 R&R Hall Of Fame and he deserves to be in there! You can vote for him daily until Dec.9th here: www.rockhall.com/fanvote
I saw this tour on 3rd November 2011 at Sunrise Theatre, Fort Pierce, FLA!
Great!
From Todd's fusion phase, just brilliant
Glad you like it
@ Quintessential progressive rock at its best! Todd was such an innovator. Never gets old.
@@jamesallanburruto Hope he will produce some more songs.
This is not only progressive rock, this is the progressive life!🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Yeah
This song... Such an incredible piece of music. This is nice to see this performance on the web. I saw the abridged version of this live (with the last Utopia show in 2018) and it wasn't played in its entirety (which I was really wanting). This fills that gap. Absolutely beautiful. Possibly my favorite Todd tune ever.
Glad you like it!
cemegonuts ..mine as well!
Same
Did the chores, vacuumed, litter boxes, changed fish tank water . . . it's time for The Ikon! Peace.
;-)
Fantastic performance! Fortunate to have seen Utopia 'back then' perform The Ikon. This has been played on the car cassette/CD player on many a long road trip!
Lucky you!
Wow - this is an amazing song! Boundless energy! I believe I first saw it performed live at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta in 1974 and it is fresh as ever on the last day of 2022.
Thank you so very much for posting this...one of my favorites! Not the same without Moogy but incredible nonetheless. I saw this performed live in the 70’s... my first Todd and Utopia concert!
Glad you like it.
A Master at work!
Kevin & John just killing it! Nice.
yeah they really enjoy it
Thank you, Mask Man....You Have Great Taste in Music...
Thank you
So wonderful!
it is
this is amazing. i never thought i'd live to see this
Glad you found it.
The song and album that made me a Todd addict...fusion at its height...
It is
Of note here as well.... Todd is playing the Painted Guitar ( owned by Eric Clapton in the Cream era) and painted by The Fool. Todd, I understand, had to sell this guitar about this time-- so maybe he was playing it for the last few times before parting ways.
Was painted by Simon Postuma, who recently died.
You have once again raised the bar ! You never fail to amaze me, to YOU I give thanks and my admiration for the quality which you produce!
Yeah Todd is Godd
Umm, so this is coming from one who has listened to this “track” for many years, and who has attempted playing music for nearly as many.... To see and hear this “live” is a pure Gemm. On top of that, the threads are mesmerizing, and that triangle #$)&@/+ rocks !!!
Glad you like it
@ is there more of this show?
@@AMEER-114- If it's there it must be here
@ how do i find it there?
@@AMEER-114- by looking
Still a shame nothing of this reuniontour (music and/or video) has been officially released sofar..... It would be a major addition to my and anyone else's Todd/Utopia collection. This music has everlasting value!!
Well it's here on my channel so you can Always
enjoy it.
@ Yes ofcourse it is! :), but back then i understood the tour was also more or less done to cover for Moogy's large pile of bills for medical costs etc. so if something was released 'officially' we would not only have 'gold' in our hands but we, as worldwide fans of Todd/Utopia, would have been able to make some donation in Moogy's favour by buying the cd's or dvd from this particular tour as well..
I watched the pay-per-view purchase incessantly for a month! Then I e-mailed the production company, whose rep told me that it was supposed to come out on DVD. That was in 2011. I guess Todd vetoed it?
@@dhalgrentv7157 Why should he?
A long play prog classic that always gets overlooked.
not here
@ you’re right. I should say usually gets overlooked. 😄
Absolute brilliance!
Close To The Edge Thick As A Brick Utopia...all the prog you need...TOP 3 EVERY TIME
glad you like it
Sweet!
Awesome!
Glad you like it, the DVD is coming out on May 1
Each one in a world of his own design
See their faces, hear them call
The Rundged Man! Because he can!!!
And he will!
Todd making that SG cry and weep. 🔥🎸
He makes even a broomstick cry and weep.
Missing the third keyboard player and it shows. But it is sweet to hear that Utopia was played this favorite of mine in the 21 century! And how about that guitar! Not surprised to Todd played with a Line 6 (one of the good ones). Todd always rode the foreskin of technology, so to speak.
Yes he is way ahead of his time
Five shining stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Glad you like it!

Too good for words but- Todd is godd!
yep
I mean I'm another lousy guitar player who's trying to get better, but guys like Todd are floating in some other galaxy.
Yes he's great!
❤
R.I.P. Ralph Schuckett
Yes sad news
I just wizzed myself... really wanted to see Todd & Darryl last weekend in NH but it wasn't to be... this made up for it...
Glad you like it
I was there
great!
Where is Jean-Yves Labat “M Frog” these daze?
One of my favorite concerts at the old mistake on the lake in Cleveland…World Series of Rock….Utopia touring RA…. Arrowsmith was the headliner….but had to drop out…Todd took their place….100K in attendance…..it was spectacular…..it was Todd climbing his huge wooden pyramid on stage and soloing like a fiend.
Sounds epic
I was there for that. Todd was very popular in Cleveland in all phases of his music. This is one of my faves.

Wish I could have seen this on 1976 New Years Eve, but he was a no show
Keep +ve If post cor19 exists then Todd and pals come to Europe with a few gigs in UK please......
He would be in the Netherlands in November

mad good
Kasim Sulton on keyboards?!?
yes indeed
Kasim had to replace Moogy Klingman who was becoming to ill to complete this tour. If i remember well he even passed away before this reuniontour was finally over... :(
Tony van der Gaag ..I was heartbroken when he passed 😢
nifty
yes, absolutely functional
🇺🇸 ✝️💝😊👍🏼 🇺🇸

What is a Vox?

Dreadful sound quality: have I got to subscribed to their UA-cam premium ?
Maybe you have to play it in higher resolution of buy a better soundset 😉
@ I believe it's already set as a default, in the higher resolution, as you call it. My playback source, is fine. I think I'm too spoilt, by listening to music most of the time, through my 'over- ear ' quality sennheiser headphones, from my CDs and vinyl. Think I'll put on the 'Ra' album.........
@@petermcintyreA1 Well most of Todd's older records were mastered for car radio i think except for the later ones
Great performance! However, horrible videography.
Buy the DVD !
Love to see Freak Parade.
