Odd, because looking at the camera pointed back into the car, the interior looks extremely bland. Something you'd see in a 4-cylinder Gaymaro or Shitstang. Exposed metal bars on the headrests, lolol tacky. No contrast stitching on the leather... are you effing kidding me? Way too many seams on the seats... just looks re-dick-u-less. And for this kind of money, you'd think you'd at least get gold plated seat belt clips... not the fire-engine red and black plastic. The dashboard and doors are nice... everything else... yuuck. And hey, notice how Douchey 14:36 has his cell phone resting against the plastic screen. So literally every bump or vibration is translated directly from his abrasive phone case, directly to the highly scratchable dashboard screen. lolol.
@@reginafalconer7585 That's great to hear! I'm curious: What does the repair bills look like? Has anything massive, like transmission, engine, etc., failed before ? like reliability Regardless, I love how the car looks and it looks super comfy, have fun!

The ABC is great, but not needed unless you are doing Autobahn type of driving. When the ABC goes and it's not covered under warranty I suggest a high limit credit card.
E Class got a little bit less quality in the interior. Still better than many other manufacturers but compared to the s class it's 'cheaper'. And the landing gear/shock absorber/air matic/glas-isolation is in the s class from another world and almost not comparable to the e class.
Huge difference in the level of interior quality going from the E to the S Class though. I have been looking for a replacement for my BMW745i over the past two weeks, and the E Class is a big step down in level of quality while the S Class is on par or above.
I'm a hands-on driver and would love to have that "push the break really hard to hold" even on my manual F30. It's like hill assist on a flat plane, and helps with leg fatigue. It's the little things like that which make a difference!

My 2004 LS-430 has over 100,000 miles, and has had no hiccup whatsoever. It is a car that I don't expect any hiccups util at least 200,000 miles. I laughed when you said 7,700 miles and no hiccup. Shit reliability of German cars have made people celebrate if their cars don't break within a year lol. I still like the S550 though. It is a great car.
I just purchased a 2016 S550 with super low miles and i am impressed at the customer service from Mercedes benz service department. It’s fantastic, although i hope i dont need their service too often. Great videos!! Thanks
One thing that had me impressed about s550 is the windshield wipers. They sense that you got some liquid on your windshield and automatically wipe it off even if you turned them off. That’s pretty smart
My moms got a GLE350 and not going to lie the back seat kind of sucks especially in sunny california mainly for one reason, that being the air conditioning. In the back there are only two tiny vents in the middle that do a very lousy job of cooling down the massive interior.

SouthwestFr3ak Which does exactly what I said. Looks at objects in front of you for adaptive cruise control etc. Also, distronic plus also utilizes other censors for the optional steer assist.
$3,500/mo for RR Wraith? Hmm... I just need to get a job making at least $7,000/mo with an apartment at around $2,000/mo or less... I could be driving the cream of the crop! Unfortunately I only make around $1,800/mo... got a long way to go
James Goodwin The Wraith? Sounds like he was saying just for leasing it, which is typically cheaper monthly than trying to own. So no you would only keep it for a contracted period of time.
It's a lease vehicle, meaning it's not really YOUR car, you are essentially renting it from the dealer and paying for the depreciation. So how is there a warranty that can be voided? My understanding was you can do any modifications to a lease vehicle as long as it doesn't damage the car or can't be undone. John Doe Well something like that is something that cannot be undone without replacing the calipers, what about an exhaust? Couldn't you put one on then when it comes time to return the car you put the OEM one back on?
Our 2004 W220 S-500 4-Matic is just as quick, smooth, quiet, and reliable as it was when we bought it in 2005, 210,000 miles later. it's really quite well done, and the w220 is generally regarded as one of the least well put together Mercedes in recent issues.
UConnhuskyandrewnduati : I agree...have a 2002 S500...no payments and it's better than any $40k car that to this day doesn't offer the options I have on my 14yo car! ABC suspension is by far the best of those features.
Every time on Sundays when I go to church, I see S Class from S550 4MATIC to Maybach S600 around. The design and technology of that car looks more beautiful. Jevon butler Ain't no hurry in the world. If I'm putting more than $50K for any car it's going to be how I want it. If I can't get it atm I'd wait, otherwise it would feel like I'm settling which is kind of dumb if you're paying that much.
I've been looking at the Renntech ECU tune for my E550 coupe and from my understanding it doesn't void the warranty. Something to do with the owner of Renntech working with Mercedes. Could be wrong but you should look into it. The M278 engine is fantastic in stock form but 540HP and 705 lb-ft of torque? Yes please. Also, adaptive high beams are fucking awesome.
Because we didn't learn from the earlier 760i and what a piece of shit that was. I'd be waiting at least 2-3 years before getting one, because those cars were atrocious.
S class is a really excellent car, no deny. The only problem is you Parker, because in my country minimum S class driving age is 65. Car does not suit you and you do not suit S class, sorry.
Samir Hadj You know, I like a lot of things, but some shit you say no to, whether it be due to social pressure or other reasons. As Parker said, he is in his last semester. Would you drive to uni in a S-class? I'd be afraid that someone would scuff the car, cause it looks out of place as it's surrounded by cars of an average value between 4k & 8k USD.
I'm just saying. With traction control off and heavy rain and a heavy foot the 300 spins till 3. Throwing it a round is pretty easy. I only have te 3.7 and it's fun, especially since it tops off at 120 stock at 4000ish pounds and rather quickly.
Interesting fact: Magic Body Control is not an upgraded air suspension, it’s based on a standard spring and shock with hydraulic actuators. The more you know...
Not going to lie that break assist that keeps the break on at a red light would be so nice. I always put my car in park if I know I will have to wait awhile. . .
Avalons were for old people, then look at what happened after the redesign in 2013. Highoolers think they are the new gangster cars now instead of Chargers.
I had this model - it was a ho hum experience frankly. I traded it on a 2022 RAM 1500 Longhorn. I love the ride, reliability, safety, and luxury of the RAM at half the cost,
Actually this car is intended to let you drive by a chauffeur, not drive it by yourself. You must look hilarious haha. But I guess you Americans can't get those things.
You're watching it - why do you think the plate says UA-cam? Ever looked into what a successful UA-cam channel can make annually? Even if his family has money, he's doing just fine on his own and seems to be completing a quality degree while doing so.
Philip DeFranco made $181k from UA-cam alone in 2010, and has only gotten larger and larger. He has since expanded to 6mill subscribers and 7x the amount of video views. Philip DeFranco could certainly be driving one of each of those if he wanted to. He had an estimated Net Worth in 2015 of $3,000,000.
Which give smoother ride? Rear wheel drive or 4 matic drive? And you said e-active body control don't come with 4 matic? And is it true small her wheel give smoother ride?
The W222 outsells the BMW 7, the Jaguar XJ , the Audi A8 and EVERYTHING ELSE in its price range for 2 simple reasons: #1 IT'S YUUUUUUUGE. I'm 6'6" and I can *swim* in the driver's seat - it's so big. You could get 4 of me in that car comfortably. #2 The interior design doesn't look like a "regular car". The other cars in that range look like high-end versions of regular cars. I made a video of the BMW 7 2016 vs. the S-class and although I liked the BMW, I LOVE MY S-CLASS.
Can you please cover the details about how different is it to maintain this car? Do you personally hand wash it every week? If you go outside for the wash, hand wash or machine wash?
"Some really good German engineering involved in this and if the passenger *slam* wants to open it they *slam* have got a button *slam* on the other side. *slam* You've got USB- ALRIGHT SHUT DAMN IT!" - This kind of stuff makes me LMAO
I have a 2008 E class that has the "hold" feature. I'm not sure if it's standard on most new auto gearbox cars maaaaan is it something you really have to have once you begin using it.
I work at a factory that makes safety components for chrysler/ford/gm/bmw/mercades and the weird thing is that any "S550" parts that go through the presses i work on go to the ford mustang.
I liked your video alot I was going to buy a 2016 s550 and I'm waiting for the 2017 s550 because the dual screens will have more options(features). and also I couldn't find any s550 with the options I wanted so looks like I'll be ordering a 2017 s550 when they start coming out.

NihselAuto I'm at 47k on my Cadillac ATS and no problems at all either. Cars this days are just great reliability wise.
exactly 😂 come back when it has 200+k miles then we can say that reliability
Roberto Ferreira True but nowadays new generation of cars come out every 4-5 years so I guess people never get to know for sure.
Moaiz Shahzad Agreed, guess all depends on the use of the car but yeah this car will deffo not be reaching those kind of figures haha
The build quality of the S Class is amazing but they're so common especially in black that they're the Camry of rich people.

I live in San Antonio, TX. Not exactly LA but when I go to the nicer parts of town they're very common.
In Singapore, the average Camry cost as much as the Mercedes S class in the States. What a country to live in.
As a new owner of a 2015 S550....I'm going to love love love road trips ...amazing vehicle to drive....

Eileen E30 if that's all you can afford is 10k I would advise chevy aveo and don't pretend you are rich by driving an old luxury car

Corey Baxter didn't you see the whole videos he said he was in a rush because he wanted a car for the snow
NikoBell12 in the video he said he wanted to spec one out but he instead just bought one off the show room floor because he was in a hurry
NikoBell12 hell yeah
Jevon butler
Ain't no hurry in the world. If I'm putting more than $50K for any car it's going to be how I want it. If I can't get it atm I'd wait, otherwise it would feel like I'm settling which is kind of dumb if you're paying that much.
I like black on black.
Tan interiors only look good in ferraris
I've been looking at the Renntech ECU tune for my E550 coupe and from my understanding it doesn't void the warranty. Something to do with the owner of Renntech working with Mercedes. Could be wrong but you should look into it. The M278 engine is fantastic in stock form but 540HP and 705 lb-ft of torque? Yes please. Also, adaptive high beams are fucking awesome.
One day...one day...,
I have a custom made ( in Germany) with a factory certificate 20 inch wheels, S 550 4 matic full options, and no car can be better. This guy is right.
maybe if you replace it you could take a 760i or a s65
Because we didn't learn from the earlier 760i and what a piece of shit that was. I'd be waiting at least 2-3 years before getting one, because those cars were atrocious.
What were we supposed to learn from the previous 760li?
Best Unbiased review of a car
S class is a really excellent car, no deny. The only problem is you Parker, because in my country minimum S class driving age is 65. Car does not suit you and you do not suit S class, sorry.
Ahmet Korkmaz , so what ? if you like it buy it , no one cares about the others opinions .
In my opinion , Mercedes is for politician .
Thx for the informations💯 , Buying a 2015 with 69000 miles & can't wait
12:03 ... wtf?? hahahahaha
Notice how there is absolutely no outside noise, or any noise of any kind other than his voice in the video? That's Mercedes quality for you :)
Could of got a Chrysler 300c/s or even a srt8 for half the price.
(2011 300 owner and fan....)
Uber Strike ...... Boy if you don't get
I'm just saying.
The more you know...
dude don't talk about reliability you havent even owned it for a year. lol
Why do you have all-season tyres for the winter? do you not know, that they perform much worse on snow than winter tyres?
Get a real S-Class!! S63 is just so much better.
hahahah ur so funny, what do u drive?
M6
hahahhahahah
Not going to lie that break assist that keeps the break on at a red light would be so nice. I always put my car in park if I know I will have to wait awhile. . .
S550 is for old people....smh
Not really.
Lol it's probably better than whatever you drive
Avalons were for old people, then look at what happened after the redesign in 2013. Highoolers think they are the new gangster cars now instead of Chargers.
Mikey Mulhearn obviously a six figure worth car is better than what he drives.
No need shame him for not being as privileged as Parker is.
TrueG404 lmao how is it for old people tf 😂😂 I've never been to a dealer ship and they be like no you can't get that car it's for old people 😂😂
I had this model - it was a ho hum experience frankly. I traded it on a 2022 RAM 1500 Longhorn. I love the ride, reliability, safety, and luxury of the RAM at half the cost,
i think the peterbilt 389 has a bigger cabin space
Oh, it has amazing engine, great looking interior.
Very strong acceleration and massage seat is must have for me, so cool!
Actually this car is intended to let you drive by a chauffeur, not drive it by yourself. You must look hilarious haha. But I guess you Americans can't get those things.
QNXDR haha us the part where someone shows you attention? like I just did
Chauffeurs are expensive in the USA. Minimum 50k/year. If you are in some eastern European country you can get by with only paying 10-20k/year
i have a question i know bought cars after this car but would you buy this car again?
Wtf is your job?
family
1012 wow... Same but.....
You're watching it - why do you think the plate says UA-cam? Ever looked into what a successful UA-cam channel can make annually? Even if his family has money, he's doing just fine on his own and seems to be completing a quality degree while doing so.
Thomas O'Neill
philip dr franco has more than 5 mil subs. he aint in an s class, lambo, m5, manshion... his dads a billionaire
Philip DeFranco made $181k from UA-cam alone in 2010, and has only gotten larger and larger. He has since expanded to 6mill subscribers and 7x the amount of video views. Philip DeFranco could certainly be driving one of each of those if he wanted to. He had an estimated Net Worth in 2015 of $3,000,000.
this is better review than most of official auto magazines
It's not like gravity anymore ?
Which give smoother ride? Rear wheel drive or 4 matic drive? And you said e-active body control don't come with 4 matic? And is it true small her wheel give smoother ride?
Where do you get the money for all these cars man??
But does it have an unlimited mileage bumper to bumper certified pre-owned warranty?
The W222 outsells the BMW 7, the Jaguar XJ , the Audi A8 and EVERYTHING ELSE in its price range for 2 simple reasons:
#1 IT'S YUUUUUUUGE.
Do you clean it yourself or get it professionally detailed?
What ever happened to the self-parallel parking option? I never hear about that in cars anymore.
still exists...my boss has a Ford Fusion that parks itself. I know the BMW 7 series has that option as well.
How were you able to afford this? In the Netherlands, it starts at >100 grand.
I work at a factory that makes safety components for chrysler/ford/gm/bmw/mercades
and the weird thing is that any "S550" parts that go through the presses i work on go to the ford mustang.
I always loved to look of this vehicle but I am concerned with long term ownership.. How is its reliability compared to the Lexus LS models?
would you ever consider an s coupe? i have the CL Class which I love but do you think the s coupe is worth it? have you drove it?
I liked your video alot I was going to buy a 2016 s550 and I'm waiting for the 2017 s550 because the dual screens will have more options(features). and also I couldn't find any s550 with the options I wanted so looks like I'll be ordering a 2017 s550 when they start coming out.
" i needed a winter car so i went and bought a 2016 s class mercedes " said no normal person ever
How did you go with your foundry/metalcasting exam/assignment?
I like your reviews and after watching this one, went out and ordered an S class!..Attaboy!
