    I am a fragghead so yes I have heard of Cashmearan. But I never knew that I liked it so much. I have a fragrance oil called body musk by ASAQ and I absolutely LOVE IT! Well low and behold Cashmearan smells very similar to my Body Musk fragrance. Thanks for the lovely explanation

    A very educational video. The info on cashmeran is great. Hope to see more lesser-known note-based reviews in the future. Alaïa Nude sounds luxurious and beautiful.

    Thank you for this interesting video! The original Alaïa and the blanch were too cold-leathery for my taste, but the Nude one - you both reviewed - i've fallen in love with. You're absolutely right, it is such a soft and cosy-warm sent! And now i know it's the cashmeran effect ;-)

      Nude is absolutely gorgeous - it is what I wanted Initio’s Musk therapy to be. I can’t believe this one hasn’t gone stratospheric! I love its scent on my skin but also its silage is so alluring 🥰. There’s a slightly coconut feel to it in the Summer but I think it could be worn all year round and then its other notes may come to the fore!

    Great idea for a series ladies! The original Alaia has been my favourite for a few years now, and funnily enough it's one that I particularly love in the autumn and always wear it with cashmere knits so I always associate the two. I wasn't so much of a fan of Blanche, but Nude sounds right up my street as I love those warm sensual fragrances. For the Q&A, I'd love to know what are your most worn fragrances out of the ones you work with? What's your earliest perfume memory? What are your favourite and least favourite notes? How did you get into fragrance? :)

      Georgina wears the original Alaia and we both love the Nude. Thanks for your questions... we will add to our forthcoming Q&A video.

    Thanks for giving such rich detailed description of the fragrance notes. Your description of the Alaia nude makes me think of Blumarine II and Marc Jacobs Blush. Are those similar to Alaia Nude?

    hi ladies! regarding the Q&A, I was wondering how a regular person, such as myself, can get a hold of individual perfume ingredients. I am always confused as to what notes I like and don't like and I would love to recognize at least some of the ingredients in perfumes I smell, so having a collection of them, to sniff and get acquainted to, would be nice. Is this something that someone can do, without breaking the bank? Or would one have to work for the IFF to have access to such ingredients?

    • @ThePerfumePros
      @ThePerfumePros  6 років тому

      Interestingly we were both looking to invest in more individual fragrance ingredients. We usually get these sent to us from the perfume houses for use in training schools on fragrance product knowledge, but we are running low in some. When we find out where best to get them from we can report back!

    Are all of your videos scripted? You guys just sound all very organized but natural at the same time

    • @ThePerfumePros
      @ThePerfumePros  6 років тому +1

      Hi there. We chat between us before filming to make a brief plan of how the video will be structured and we have some key points that we want to say, but we don't work to a script exactly. Because we conduct training on the fragrances we talk about, I guess it comes across as fairly natural!

    Thanks for the info and insight !
    I have heard of Cashmeran, but don't own any fragrances that list it as a note or ingredient. However, as a fan of Terre D'Hermes, am I familiar with ISO-E Super.
    Question; How do you both guide people in determining fragrance choices for a Signature Scent, Wedding, Date Night, or other special occasion ? I know that it took me years to find fragrances that suited my personality, and at the same time were complementary to the Season, occasion, gender and age group !
    As always, thanks for sharing . . . . cheers ! :)

    Hi ladies! These are for each of you. What's your favorite fragrance and one you detest? What are your most and least favorite notes? What UA-camrs do you watch? What made you decide to start your own channel? Do you have children? If you didn't work where you do what would you be doing?

    Do you happen to know if cashmeran is chemically related to ambroxan? Because i'm quite sensitive to both (eg Encre Noir for men for the first and well, almost all new men's releases use ambroxan and can't tolerate them...)
    For your Q&A, could you name a couple of international brands that use mostly natural ingredients for their perfumes? Thanks!!
    pd: you two are gorgeous! :D

    • @ThePerfumePros
      @ThePerfumePros  6 років тому

      We will investigate but in the material we have it doesn’t link cashmeran and ambroxan together however they are both modern synthetics and it’s possible you could have a sensitivity to both. They are extremely popular notes to use in fragrance nowadays.

    Can you make a video of perfumes which you think are characteristic of different countries? (Like when you wear this perfume, you think of this country.)

    If you still accept questions for the Q&A video, I would have another one. I am curious to know more about the connection brand-perfumer-INGREDIENTS. More precisely:
    CASE no. 1: the brand hires an independent perfumer. I guess the perfumer, in order to make the test fragrances, uses his/her ingredients which come from various manufacturers. But I assume that the brand wants to use only one supplier of ingredients to limit the costs. So, for the final product, from where are the ingredients bought? Are exactly the same as those the perfumer used?
    CASE no. 2: the brand works with a perfumer who is employed in a flavours and fragrances company. Probably the ingredients for the finished fragrance will be those of the present company.
    Are these 2 cases correct? Is there any other variant?
    Thank you very much.

    Love your channel! And love you! I own the black Alaia, and wanted to buy the blanch one, now theres the nude, wich one you think is best? The blanch or nude cause i love the original one so sexy! My kind of fragrances are narciso rodriguez for her edt, alaia black, black orchid by tf, zadig et voltaire this is her, so wich would you recommend? Or both?

    • @ThePerfumePros
      @ThePerfumePros  6 років тому +1

      Thanks! The original Alaia fragrance is indeed fabulously sensual! It’s very animalic with lots of musk notes. The other two version share those base notes but the Blanche is quite delicious and sweet with vanilla and heliotrope (smells like an addictive almond dessert!) the Nude is powdery and softly comforting. From what you tell us you might still prefer the Black one but do try the others and tell us what you think.

    Hello! I love your videos about ingredients that go into perfumes. I find them very useful for me as a consumer of fragrances. As such, for the Q & A video, I would be interested in hearing about resins/oleoresin/balsams/gums/gum resins used in perfumery. It is so confusing: what is the difference between them? Why have they different names? And maybe one or two examples for each category?
    Thank you very much.
