Jardin de monsieur Li by him takes me right back to my garden from my childhood in north of China. Man, the transparency in the perfum and the zen spirit just take your troubles away . It is so calming and I want to say “neutral” for a perfume. Master piece and a very personal loved one in my collection. A must have for me.

Great idea! Oliver Polge from CHANEL, Christine Nagel at Hermès, Dior's François Demarchy, Thierry Wasser at Guerlain, etc

Love him. Genius of introspective 'zen' style.

I loved this video! It was interesting to hear about one single perfumer and to try to understand their aesthetic through their fragrances. More to come I hope :)

Ellena is my favorite perfumer. Osmanthe Yunnan is exquisite.

Thoroughly enjoyed. Have also been so enamoured by JCE after reading Chandler Burr's book. Yes...would love more videos about great "noses" of our day. Echo the vote for Christopher Sheldrake.

Please keep doing videos on the perfumers! This one was great. I'm surprised that the only Ellena I have is Eau de Pamplemousse Rose. I need to try more! :)

I like this video and I would like to see more videos about "The Noses". Maybe one about Alberto Morillas and one about Olivier Polge.

I love Jean-Claude Ellena's creations for Hermes. Funnily enough I was mourning his input after trying to like Twilly - I just can't, it's so boring and predictable. Ellena's fragrances have got soul, Nagel just doesn't have that spark of genius.

mikka m true. Twilly is ok, a bit like Jardins, aromatic.

This definitely seems to be a popular subject. We have made a note of all the suggestions of which perfumers would be interesting to talk about and will do our best to include some of them in future videos.

I love your videos and you both sound like you have a solid knowledge about fragrances however its disappointing that you only talk about a few brands “I get the business part of it”, I think you would attract more fragheads if you start discussing more and more brands and not just punt the brands you work with. You probaly don't even carr about what others say “just like many youtubers who only care about the number of subscribers to make morr money”.

    • @ThePerfumePros
      @ThePerfumePros  6 років тому +1

Thanks for your comment and we totally understand that you might feel disappointed that we can only discuss the brands we work with in our videos. Allow us to explain in case you missed this from our other videos or bio....
We have always been open about the fact that we both are employed as Perfume trainers for a uk distributor and we make our videos in work time. As such we are not permitted to review other fragrances on The Perfume Pros as our employer would see that as a conflict of interests.
We don’t make any money from the channel: we do it because we have a genuine passion for fragrance and a knowledge of the subject as well as in-depth insights into the many brands we work with. When we started the channel two years ago it was because we felt that there was a big demand for videos on Perfume which was only being met by a small percentage of you tubers (compared to makeup and skincare videos for example) and that there weren’t many British females making videos about fragrances. We have expertise to share, and because we are in the fortunate position of working for a distributor rather than directly for a brand, we felt confident that we could make UA-cam content that would be varied enough and interesting enough to start a channel.
And, yes: our channel will obviously also promote those fragrances which are contracted to our company....otherwise, why would our company allow us to do this?
We understand if it’s not for you, however we’ve been overwhelmed by the many lovely positive comments on here and are extremely thankful for those that watch, subscribe and get something from what we have to offer.
We feel blessed to have such interesting jobs and love what we do as Trainers. The Perfume Pros is just another way for us to promote the gorgeous world of fragrance to more people, but using our brands as the backdrop.

Thank you for takng the time to read AND respond to my comment, I wont stop watching your videos, I think you are experts in the field - I have been a Fraghead for many many years and I do watch a lot of UA-camr videos about Fragrance and skincare- I enjoy the "no brand specific" videos you make, I LOVE "the history of perfume” series you ladies made. Keep it up
