Nice video, brings back fond memories from long ago. I paddled the Suwannee from Fargo GA where it emerges from the swamp all the way to the gulf in a wood/canvas Old Town canoe way back in 1954. I was 10. What an adventure for a kid.
Petesnikon.......Thanks. The trip actually started a little south of Atlanta GA where we put in on the Flint River. Paddled it down to south GA and then over to Fargo by truck. Aprox 500 mile canoe trip and took two weeks. We were tired at the finish. But what great fun.
Mostly composed of solid limestone in this region, sometimes this gives way to sand and dirt. What is on the banks of the Suwannee is mostly those plants that can cling onto rocky cliffs and exist on a steep bank. There are also a lot of trees that get too heavy for this cantilevered world and they lean at a crazy angle or fall into the water
The Suwannee has banks of limestone. Sometimes they are high cliffs, sometimes you can walk from bank to river. Vegetation is typical Florida; Water Oaks, Cypress and pine.

Thank you for your comment. I'm glad it brought back good memories. Quite an ambitious and comprehensive trip you did. Quite remarkable

What are the banks made of? I would have expected lush greenery...
