You just made me reconsider this car. I hated the oem center console, but this makes it look like a completely different, more modern vehicle.
I mean you can really make any car ever a lot more modern with an aftermarket car play stereo and a backup camera.

Anyone else not able to locate the android 12 model on the US Amazon? It only brings up the 2010-2012 model
I had the older unit and it would not work with my Bose system. I found a video to demonstrate how to splice wires. Does this unit really work with Bose?
might get one in the future, i always hold out on new products so i can see how the QC is.
That's honestly a smart strategy. Though you'll never be the first to try something out, everyone else is your guinea pig and you can decide if to spend the money or not
Just installed mine and although I'm very impressed as a whole I cannot for the life of me get the steering wheel controls to work for the volume ... Checked and double checked and even contacted Eonon with no luck.

I had the OG eonon in my MPS and it was good, but it died after a year. Put me off buying from Eonon but tbh, that does look great and i love that their stuff is very easy to install. Ill probably get one of these now

i got the older version of this less than a year ago but had nothing but issues. Bluetooth disconnecting, UI freezing, Bluetooth icon just flashing (i could go on) had to be emailed system updates but no help, was sent new motherboard and still same issues. Now being offered to send my unit back and pay the difference so i can receive a better unit. Nothing but stress tbh

Hey man, great video. What is the actual max resolution for youtube ? I read that the display resolution is 1280x720p but the video playback is 1080p. Its kinda confusing.
UA-cam will playback at 4k if the video was uploaded at that, but the Eonon displays at maximum 720p!

I'm a little salty about getting the older model not too long ago (around February I think?)
My stock head unit dropped the left channel) and it not supporting a USB 4G modem or being able to connect to arbitrary Bluetooth devices such as my OBDLink MX+ in order to support Torque. The USB modem I can sort of understand, as shipping drivers for all possible USB modems can be a bit of a chore (even though they're fully supported in the Linux kernel.. all you needed to do was to enable those during compilation), but not being able to connect to the OBDLink MX+ just appears petty and arbitrary, something done in order to sell EONON's own Bluetooth dongle.
All in all it's a good unit, sound quality is decent and installation was simple, though I did expect it to be less restricted in its connectivity.

I do notice that your upgraded head unit now contains a 4G modem, just add SIM card, so that takes care of the Internet connectivity complaint.
The inability to use standard Bluetooth OBD-II interfaces is a bit baffling, though - it's fine to sell an OBD-II interface you've tested and verified to work, but artificially locking others out is restrictive.

@@attzero the upgraded unit shown in this video really looks like an upgrade, so I'd suggest getting that if you can. But if you can't (i.e. you're buying a Q51 used from a friend or something), then yes, it's fine for CarPlay and just listening to music. The sound quality is genuinely good, though the equalizer can be a bit fiddly to get exactly how you want it. One of the presets should get you close enough to be able to enjoy it right away, though.
I've had nothing but trouble with eonon UA12S plus. It gets stuck on apps such as UA-cam you can't clear the screen to get back to settings. The screen is not responsive. And the worst customer service. No one responds to the email.
Dude I been saying I wanna keep the OEM headunit cause unpopular opinion time, I love the design of the OE headunit. But after watching this video. I for real may put this on the list of things to swap out in my car. Cause im back on my journey of fixing this car back up and tryna get in back to where it drives as amazing as id imagine it drove 18 years ago. Can you skip songs on the steering wheel too?
Yes you can use the skip button. Phone control doesn't work though

Hey man! I’m having issues with a loud popping static noise from my unit. Everything connected correctly. Tried disconnecting certain cords and testing audio. Only thing that stop the popping noise is disconnecting the amp control cord. Any ideas?

After installation does your phone icon press button on steering wheel work? And on the upper dash above the radio does your left screen work the same .the d ash that shows you how many miles are left work?
I don't have a phone button, and you won't have control over the LCD
Hold down on the mode button on your steering wheel. When it says settings, push down for time & up for mpg, miles, av speed

The original Clarion sounds much better than an android i replaced which also have a cd player. The original mazda screen becomes redundant. Have re-installed the Clarion when the android screen went blank.

How is the FM/AM reception? Noticed on an older Eonon that the sound fades in/out on FM and AM is no existent. Cant get AM 730 for traffic.

Double check you have everything, and I mean everytjing plugged in. If not, check on with Eonon
i cant find anywhere a cable with a 20pin option for canbus, do have any idea where i can look for it? had seen a few pics how people connect a canbox, but there is no option to ask about it on this forums (they seem to be closed)
Don't take my word for it but i'm pretty sure these have a canbus already installed

What are some of the big differences between this one you have and the Q51 pro? Besides price. I'm torn between the 2 of them. I'll be using the android features.
Just out of the gate with the M3BKA12S you'll be running on a newer & faster Android operating system, much more powerful CPU, 6gb of ram vs 3gb (huge for android systems), and a QLED screen. I've used a Q51 and find this new unit I put in a lot more responsive and easier to use.

I had enormous trouble with my VW equivalent of this device. 1. It would not auto resume music from internal storage, only from SD or USB - FAIL. It would not hibernate for longer than 2 days, even though the specs stated indefinite hibernate - FAIL. I had a real battle with support over these issues, so much so that they decided the unit had hardware faults and sent me another unit. It was exactly the same!!!!! After 4 updates, and a final MCU update a few days ago it now resumes music from the internal storage, and it now performs 1 sec startup after 2 days. If your unit does not sleep properly, get the september 2023 MCU update. I don't use Carplay or Android.
Just bought the 6gb ram version. Really liking the improved display and the speed. Question though, the steering wheel buttons arent working, is there something i need to do? 2006 mazda 3

Sadly my Mazda 3 is from 2004, radio and LCD screen are controlled by just one cable, so I lost the LCD functionality. I bought a 2007 LCD but I need to do a soldering job and I'm scared 🥲 haha

My Problem is that the LED Screen that is above the radio does not work with the most aftermarket android radios that I have seen. I really want to keep the LED screen on top but the connector of it goes in the radio and most of the aftermarket radios dont have a connection for it. Does anyone know a aftermarket radio where I can keep the steering wheel controls and my LED screen on top of the radio?

@@ColtonRichter okay thank u I have a 2005 Mazda so my LCD Screen above the radio has an extra wiring that goes into the original radio. But the eonon unfortunately does not have a place for that wiring I think right?

Is anyone else having trouble using their steering wheel volume buttons? I spliced a red cable to both steering wheel 1 & 2 wire, nothing working … is there even splicing involved?
No it's all plug and play.

I should also mention that I replaced an another head unit, not the factory one. There was a red wire that I had to snip in order to fully disconnect from the car.. it was a pioneer DEH-s6120BS, hope that helps
I have the android head unit, not sure what brand, and it comes with wireless CarPlay but I can’t use it😂I figured out how to turn it on and set it all up but it doesn’t work! I think I need the adapter

I got this for my 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 and it is sooo glitchy. Randomly mutes, only volume/mode buttons on steering wheel buttons work right, track button is reversed and it won't let me swap it. Phone buttons don't work. Usb and aux in center console don't work. Usb slot 1 and 2 provided freezes up the unit. Can't connect to internet without disabling auto connect. Unit is updated with the current firmware. The fitment isn't flushed. Man I feel violated! I think I got a dud?
Potentially, I haven't had problems to that extent on any Android unit i've used
Just my luck. I've waited so long to upgrade my headunit. I guess I'll return it for a replacement. Hopefully it is a faulty unit.

So I kept the unit and the glitchiness solved itself. After the recent updates I was able to switch the track up and down to regular. Overall its good enough to keep. Fitment isn't perfect but beats having the OEM unit.😂

Correct, using any aftermarket head unit in a MazdaSpeed 3 will lose that function

Nope! I used to think that (I have an older model Eonon) but you can actually use the steering wheel controls (Mode button) and your old LCD will work as before.
Hold the Mode button down untill you see "Setting" on the car's LCD. Then use the Up arrow button to cycle through the metrics like MPG. If you select the clock, you can press or hold the Down arrow button to set the time.

The touch volume is very sensitive and user friendly, as well as being able to use the steering wheel controls for that button feel!
@@ColtonRichter oh that’s cool, but analog has that certain gratification to it. Plus I drive a gen2 and you know the volume control on the steering wheel isn’t as clean as it feels on the gen1 since the button has a lip to it

No tuning/volume nobs = no buy. I HATE touch screen volume controls. I prefer the older ones that appear like the stock 2013 unit.
Dude I promise you I use to be that same guy. (I want a knob). I got a 10” and I love it. My steering controls works great. No need to reach for a knob these days. Mute option every thing you need

@@trdsport I have a Gen 2, which doesnt have the mute button on the wheel. Plus, cant operate touch screen in winter gloves, which is one of the main reasons i want psychical controls. The other being that they are FASTER! If i want to quickly turn down the volume, but not mute it, i can reach over (even without looking) and know how far i need to turn it, and turn it quickly to get it near the volume i want. Cant replace that with a touch screen.

I got this radio. After about a year, it's slow as hell, volume buttons dont work toll loke 15 min later, and apps barely work. Takes about 30 min for everything to start working correctly even after updating my apps. Radio is total junk. Now if there's something I'm missing on why it started to not work correctly, ill retract my statement
