I have a blue light and a white light. Both lights are plugged into smart switches and both lights are programmed to turn on at sunrise. The white light goes off at sunset and the blue light remains on until 10:00 PM. I feel this replicates the natural biorhythms and reflects seasonal changes over time. Smart lights rock for this sort of setup.
My dither fish have a higher survival rate with a nightlight. Just buy it dim enough you dont blow up with algae and have some nerite snails to help keep the algae in check.
Ok, I’m here to figure out why I have diatom algae on my Amazon swords that I moved to a new tank with Nicrews. I don’t leave lights on at night. I think I’ll cover the blue diodes with electrical tape. I don’t have any timers set up but I have them. 😳😂
Hey i have a 50 gal tank and i only keep my light on form 7:am to 5:pm its on a automatic system. Why is my fish tank very green i have a total of 24 fish they’re all small guppies I know it’s not over feeding because I only feed them once a day and I’ve had them for over 2 month & none of them have died but every time I do a water change my water just comes back green I do a 80% water change every week. Can y’all give me pointers on how to clear my water make it crystal clear

You can get a nice light with timers and light phase also adjust lighting...
Algae means too much nitrate/nitrite
nice tank room
At angel fish i have a blue light it is danger or good? Sir thanks adv.
Im using a time in 2 my fish tanks even though I love the blue light lol
Never had a problem with blue light and algae
Because you have a low kelvin/lumen light

Easy answer ... you may have rocks or substrate that has a lot of silica content .. hope that help
@@vasili1207 it’s bare bottom but the 15 large stones I have are quartz.
@@GenRN that the issue quartz is high in silica
@@vasili1207 yes, that’s why I told you that! Looks like I have my answer! Thank you!

maybe get some algae eaters, 4-6 otocinclus should help with keeping algae off and if that’s not your forte you could get some shrimp or snails
@@philberndtson I have four algae eaters it’s just my water turns green my glass is super clean But the water is not clear
Remove your tank away from the windows... easy fix
@@Mr.GHOSTi what sort of vegetation is in the tank? As some vegetation that maybe have died can cause water colouration
@@vasili1207 did you just suggest moving a 50 gallon tank as an easy fix.
everytime i try to find info on just dimming your normal lights, videos of blue lights always pop up as if blue light is the only dimmable light
Hygger makes a decent light for cheap that has a sunrise and sunset setting as well as a “moonlight”
