This was a joy to watch. It is kind of cool because my grandpa (87) recently found out that he has a half-brother. My great grandfather apparently had an affair, I believe she was a housekeeper, and she became pregnant. Unsure if my great grandfather even knew about having another son, but my grandpa had no clue.
Loved the video, wonderful moment to share. Beautiful teeth must run in the family.

It's good that you cared enough and took the time to meet your family - I didn't know many of my father's relatives - they were scattered all over and I only met a few - it's important to do this for yourself and your kids, getting all the history and names - your aunt seems like a very nice person - and how nice to film her, letting her tell you about your family. She's an interesting lady.

So nice! I wish I could've met my relatives. Besides that, Sean maybe you won't read this but I just want to say your an amazing women, you're an inspiration! Your videos are one of the things I want to do too! I like saving memories and reliving them through videos! I'm also a fan of your hollywood work, blade runner is my favorite. The song "rachel's song by vangelis is seriously the song I listen to everyday! I wish I could meet you one day! -Christina :)

msyPARIAH I was only 10 when I first saw you on TV in Blade Runner. I thought you were the most beautiful lady I've seen. Nothing has changed. I'm now almost 40. We all have dark days and we all have bright days...They come and go. One needs the other. We would not exist without either. If there's one thing I learned in life, is that we're all put here on earth to use the greatest gift given to us. And that's the gift of choice. We can choose to be the best person we can be regardless of what we have to go through. Thanks for the memories Sean. May all your best wishes in life come your way.

@msyPARIAH have you mapped your family tree yet? There are various programs for Mac or Windows. It great to see your family tree mapped out. I got back to 1704!
    Thanks for sharing, you rock!

The thing about the chickens heads being cut off, it probably happens even with humans under the right conditions. It's the nerves, your nerves and certain parts of the brain remain active (depending obviously on the type of death). The way you can test this is with insects, & if you think back you might have noticed some insects will make motions after you kill them. It's the nerves. The synapses are still "firing".

So, you have all of that, and then my parents never divorced, but my father spent nearly every weekend I can remember reading the Sunday paper, and any question I asked him was only worth some mumbled response to a question he hadn't bothered to listen to to begin with. My Dad didn't like sports and when I turned 13 my father would have been 59. So Dad is living in the same house not a "carouser" but basically ignoring me 24 hrs a day. So, you know he's physically there but absent in reality.

I think you (Sean) come across as very likable here in this video. Much more likable here than majority of Hollywood "types". I can relate to this to a certain degree, because my father was 46 when I was born, so my paternal grandparents had both died before I was born. And my Mother's father's family were infested with drunks, so we never met any of them (of the few who were still alive. And my Mom was 20 years younger than my Dad so she was rejected by my Father's mother (before we we born)

Continuing with the "chicken with it's head cut off" thing. Anyway, when my father died it was very slow over hours, and we sat and watched at side of bed. At the end, I'm certain he was dead and he had a heart pulse (like a SINGLE pulse/beat) it felt like 2 minutes after he had died (maybe it was 90 seconds, I'm just going by how it felt in my mind). I'm certain he was not alive then, but it was like a last little something from his body AFTER the fact.

Sean, your background music is so morose. I hope you don't feel that way all the time.

I think both your Aunt and father were what is known as "Irish Twins" where one child is born not even the year before the other one and so they are the same age for a certain amount of time.

So then, you attempt to complain to your gradeschool friends about your Dad, and like 65% of your school friends, their parents are divorced and you complain and their like "Your parents are married, your Dad still lives with you right?? So, what are you complaining about??" Like I'm complaining about 20 yrs of ZERO eye-contact and mumbles to life's questions behind a Sunday newspaper. Ok, I'll stop complaining now, I wasn't an orphan right???
