Great video as always. The studio models were built over the large wired remote control toy tank for the Tiger Joe army action figure. The tank treads and wheels were retained .I remember getting one very cheap at a garage sale as a kid.years later when I found out that it was the bottom of the Shadow mobile I realised why the mobile wheels and treads looked so families!
I used to have a Dinky version of one of these! Really enjoyed watching you work on this sir and the rotating bar stool for spraying is a cracking idea. Looking forward to the next part, it is looking great.
I loved this show as a kid and your model is really evoking great memories. (Especially of the lovely ladies who worked on moon base with their purple hair). This show needs a revamp. Great work Boyd.
Yep, there are some examples of this kit built as an RC right here on you tube. Apparently there is an old Tamiya tank chassis that works perfect for it. I decided against it and just keep it as a static model.
I don't know WHY it is, Boyd, but I look at this model and think, "WINNEBAGO!" It does sort of look like Lone Star's Eagle 5 star cruiser/winnebago from "Space Balls."
Nice build! I always wondered how the crew got in the cab though because even on the tv series version, there's no cab doors! And if there's a solid bulkhead, they cannot get in or out via the rear door.
Hi Boyd! One question: Can I use this 3m spot putty in my kits (1/350 refit and 1/72 Runabout)? This studio scale will look great! if you have time, please check out my work on the SFMA "runabout interior project", thanks!
The interior out of scale the lozenge are to big , the black thing on the left i think s air con ?.On far right side there a tv monitor puss two small seats faceing in wards behind front seats.what scale is yours bud .

Brilliant model when on film it looks very realistic U F O a great series
That's frickin brilliant that is 😉👍
Awesome looking model
I think it's big enough to put the motor and RC electronics to make it into real running model.

If you look at the Dinky model there's a door in the cab, but for the show i think they forgot to include it in the model?
How does "Dave" get in and out of the cabin? Just curious.
What TV show was this I don't remember it I am 49 looks very cool I want to see if some of the shows are on UA-cam
Gerry Anderson's UFO
It really is coming together. What a great model, Boyd!
Is that a Sphero R2-D2 I see in the background on the bench?
Yes it is, he's fun to run around on the floor :)
@@TrekWorks So true. I felt like a little kid again, when I got mine. He really makes me smile ;-)

Can I ask where you bought this kit? Can't find the vendor you mention. Thanks.
They are called Kit's 4 Cash and you can find them on Facebook. I'm not sure if this kit is currently available though.
@@TrekWorks Thanks, will be watching this build!
Do you have a link to the website where you got this kit?
It's Kitsforcash on Facebook but they no longer sell it.
I take it this is no longer available for sale?🤔🤔🤔
I think it goes in and out of production.
