Yeah man! Your pilot's journey has come to fruition. I've been following your channel pretty much since it started, and it's been awesome to see you come up from an unknown pilot to making podium at Nationals on ESPN! Congrats man, you've obsiously worked really hard and you deserve this!
Congrats on 2nd at the Nationals my friend, amazing accomplishment. Your hard work this year has really paid off! Thanks for everything you do for the community, you are a true role model for all future pilots.
Paul - it's been amazing to watch you hunt down your dream. Your positive attitude and drive are an inspiration to those around you. Ride this wave! I really like those PROPS!
Congrats man you've come a long ways! I remember you talking in your car awhile back how it was passion for getting better and knowing you could do it that was driving you. Look what you've done these last few months!
OK, now I understand why you're so knowledgeable....before I became aware that you were a contender I simply thought that you musta had an advanced degree in droneology. LOL Congrats on placing at Nationals and thanks for sharing. It's awesome to watch those mad skillz!!!
Very well done. Im so glad to see that you were enjoying yourself in these final races! With the hobby getting incredibly competitive that is the most important thing to remember, always have fun!
Congrats m8!, you rock dude! The way you controll these monsters is outrageous fantastic! Thanks to you i am building my own fpv now with , ehm , well i hope good specs, i follow all ya tubes so i learn aloth! Thnx m8 for the inspiration and gr8 videos you make!
Congrats for a great finish! Awesome video you have here of some of the behind the scenes craziness. I'm glad you made it all the way to the finals. Great job!!
Was it Zach or Jordan? I came to watch this video while listening to you on Quadtalk Podcast and noticed the description says Zach. :) You have a great attitude, man. Love it. Congrats on all your success. Much more to come, I'm sure.
WOW you were right behind a nub and i! just one mistake cost you a lot of time. good racing dude! i love how you just started having fun with it. you definitely win in style points.
oh! You are chris wang/M3. That's freaking hilarious! Yeah after I missed that obstacle, I was 15 seconds back, and there was just no way to catch up, so I put on a show for ESPN. :P
That is the new immersionRC Tramp vTX. The race directors can control the band, channel, mWh using that wand. I think we are doing to start seeing this feature for a lot of vTXs, no more dip switches or buttons.
You are smart and a good pilot that is why you finished 2nd! Don't sell yourself short dude, it was a very smart call to go 6"! Very smart and BIG congrats to you!
so the wand can power the IC near the RFID antenna and it store some info in eeprom/flash, when you power up, the VTX will go read that info to initialise the good settings.
Yes, reckon it would have been tricky hearing your spotter too... very important. From my car racing experience ... You could use something like this & also pipe in some music too :) www.racingcommunications.com/
I smell a Lumenier sponsorship coming! You could have rolling on 2206 2350KV Lumenier's! They would be crazy not to pick you up! Very happy for you man!
Why were they using channels 8, 5, 2, and 1? Seems like a disadvantage for the people at 2 and 1 (and they were the ones that crashed). Why wasn't it 1, 3, 5, and 8? Seems unnecessary to saddle two of them with extra interference between each other. Then again it may have been fine.
They were the best channels available. The wifi on people's phones, and the dish network that was sending the ESPN feed back to the mainland were interfering with the channels that we had available. We were only using about 25mw, so the channel to channel interference was minimal.
I'm used to joe chatting away while the races are going on. Part of my "training" over the last 4 months has been working on staying calm and focused when the pressure is on. It's paid off.
Nice, although next time can we have the drone cam screen being the bigger one, as a spectator that's what I'm interested in seeing, not some guy sitting still looking at something I can't see :-) #justsaying
As if there wasn't enough pressure just competing, than you have cameras stuck in your face lol. I still think Thomas from Australia is mucher faster tho!
now it doesnt seem so weird having that big poster of you on my wall.......what
grats on the win
Big poster??
Bulbufet FPV you know.....lol
Yeah man! Your pilot's journey has come to fruition. I've been following your channel pretty much since it started, and it's been awesome to see you come up from an unknown pilot to making podium at Nationals on ESPN! Congrats man, you've obsiously worked really hard and you deserve this!
it's crazy!! This ride has surpassed my wildest expectations.
Congrats on 2nd at the Nationals my friend, amazing accomplishment. Your hard work this year has really paid off! Thanks for everything you do for the community, you are a true role model for all future pilots.
Thank you so much! I hope this will help enable me to do more! :-)
Paul - it's been amazing to watch you hunt down your dream. Your positive attitude and drive are an inspiration to those around you. Ride this wave! I really like those PROPS!
So well done Bud! No words for how cool this was. Cheers
Such a massive achievement congratz dude! Shows hard work pays off! Just makes me want to push myself even harder now.
Awesome! That's exactly my goal! If you discipline and push yourself, you can do crazy things!
Congrats man. I know you worked hard for it. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Congrats man you've come a long ways! I remember you talking in your car awhile back how it was passion for getting better and knowing you could do it that was driving you. Look what you've done these last few months!
Congrats Paul. It's been a joy to follow your progress, and will be continued.
OK, now I understand why you're so knowledgeable....before I became aware that you were a contender I simply thought that you musta had an advanced degree in droneology. LOL Congrats on placing at Nationals and thanks for sharing. It's awesome to watch those mad skillz!!!

Now, you need to do a video on the setup and why you decided to go with the build, frame, change things etc.
Gratz Paul. Nice to see all your hard work paid off for you :)
Congrats Paul! You went out there to have some fun and killed it.

Awesome dude. I wasn't following the races, but yours is the only race I watched so far. You beat a lot of people.
Not only the competitors there, but also everyone that was not able to qualify.
Killing it!!! Nice job! They were so serious at the beginning haha
Thanks for sharing the experience
I'm thinking about going to the drone nationals. Would you recommend anything to prepare? (At Arizona)
Wow man! congratulations...thats amazing!
Was it Zach or Jordan? I came to watch this video while listening to you on Quadtalk Podcast and noticed the description says Zach. :) You have a great attitude, man. Love it. Congrats on all your success. Much more to come, I'm sure.

That was a great race keep it up you can only get better 👍
congrats Paul!
well done dude. happy for you
Great job man! What were those little devices that they had when they were looking at your quad?
They are RFID programmers, and they use them to activate and set the channel on the VTX.
Such a boss run tho, nice save as well!! 5:19
CONGRATULATIONS PAUL! :)
congrats my friend that was a great run
nice race man, congrats!!!
Sweet run man!! Looked like a hard track to follow.
Thank you! I spent a long long time reviewing DVR and doing course visualization to learn the course, since we didn't get to fly many batteries on it.
You did an epic job!! Would have been so much nicer if they made the race track look like a race track
Congrats on a great race!
Those rolls tho. . . awesome job man!
hell yeah doing flips and rolls, hellz yeah

Cangruatulations man! Awesome performance from you this weekend! does this mean you get to go to drone worlds?
That's what I'm told! :-)
Bulbufet FPV Awesome!
Loved that last lap! Kudos on the #2 spot! :D
What were they scanning on your ESCs before the race?
That is the new immersionRC Tramp vTX. The race directors can control the band, channel, mWh using that wand. I think we are doing to start seeing this feature for a lot of vTXs, no more dip switches or buttons.
Nice! Very cool
You are smart and a good pilot that is why you finished 2nd! Don't sell yourself short dude, it was a very smart call to go 6"! Very smart and BIG congrats to you!
I'm glad I stuck with my gut on that.
+Bulbufet FPV NICE PROPS!
Congrats!! :)
Niiiiice!! Congrats!
well done!!!!
so your not plug in and they can change the frequency of your VTX... I don't get it...
so the wand can power the IC near the RFID antenna and it store some info in eeprom/flash, when you power up, the VTX will go read that info to initialise the good settings.
What a run.... 😊
You took 2nd with RTFQ motors? Excellent... Witespy should be proud.
He is. :-) We've been chatting today.
Well done
Nice job!
great run! :)
Congratulations! Must be hard to concentrate - reckon I'd be wearing headphones :)
I need to be able to hear my spotter, who is giving me very important information.
Very happy for you man!
they have a lot of fast people already! :-
Lets have this conversation next year. Just keep doing what you are doing and we will see. Stay humble, it will take you places! woot woot!
Nice run

what where they measuring next to your quad?
Wout Chauvaux they were using a wand to chance video frequencies. on the immersion rc tramp
they can change frequencies wireless like that? do they give you the channel you need to switch to on your goggles then?
Congrats, you're one cool cucumber, esp with that announcer in your frigg'n eardrum:)
I'm used to joe chatting away while the races are going on. Part of my "training" over the last 4 months has been working on staying calm and focused when the pressure is on. It's paid off.
points for style?great race man
Nice video!
What props were you running?
Dal 6040 standard tip.
Was that because the size of the course?
Yes.
The first lap was crazy.
congrats. .
Nice, although next time can we have the drone cam screen being the bigger one, as a spectator that's what I'm interested in seeing, not some guy sitting still looking at something I can't see :-) #justsaying
congratulations, you looked very relaxed there despite the the undoubted pressure of such an event.
That's been a large part of my goal during the last few months.
@ZoeFPV doin' the Cabbage Patch in the background. 1:30 😄
Yeah!!!!
It's the shirt that did it. No doubt.
When he says to the official "I need to be wanded on Three" what is he asking for?
+DJ Nuck Chorris the wand sets the channel that my video will be on.
As if there wasn't enough pressure just competing, than you have cameras stuck in your face lol. I still think Thomas from Australia is mucher faster tho!
cool
