Tom, I appreciate your objective and unbiased critique of Mike’s video. I was concerned that my own perspective might be skewed by my admiration for Mike and it is helpful to know have my judgement confirmed.
I am a little cash strapped right now, but I went to Sugar Turtle last fall after what might have been your first video about them and did some Christmas shopping. Just checked out his site and am so glad he has so many cool things in his store
Do you know if they're going to be making any more of that green color they had? I hope I didn't totally miss out! I got the notebook when you did the last video with them but I held off on the ink and now it seems to be gone. :(
I just did some googling, and it does look a little purple-y when there's a ton of it in a swatch, but you're never gonna get that from a pen with this ink. It's just too dry. Or else they changed the formula. I think that q-tip swatches are too dense most of the time.
Nioi Sumire = nee-oy soo-me-reh, said as much as possible without any emphasis. It means "scent of violets." Is it just me, or is the lighting a little dim? Should I go see the eye doctor?
My mom had a teacher who was ambidextrous. She would start writing on the board with her left hand and when she got to the middle, she put the chalk in her right hand and just kept going. And when my grandmother broke her right arm, back when doctors left casts on for months, she trained herself to use her left hand. She was an obsessive letter-writer and HAD to be able to use a pen for that and to keep accounts. I wasn’t going to get Warm Heart, but now I think I want some. I like the double format for these paired inks. They set each other off very nicely. (I do see why some people say the video looks a dimmer. It looks to me as if the black point is raised.) I’m surprised the red Warm Heart was a bit more resistant to water than the Cold Blooded blue. I guess sugar turtles are not aquatic? Might they be (dramatic music here) *tortoises*? I also liked the use of the paired Lamys (Lammies?) This was a particularly aesthetic review.
Best video of all time! We're talking Oscars territory! 😁

You two…
@@ruthfeiertag What a beautifully well written comment. Nobel Prize in Literature worthy. 🙃
LOVE Sugar Turtle stickers and stuff! Thanks for the video!

Well, enter to win one of the inks and it could be yours for free!
Mr. Nose likes those blues!
Some sweet inks there.
I am always looking for a red that is not exactly “red” to write with. Same for a neat blue. Thanks for the video!
Cool
Great video! Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
Thanks Mike fun video! Glad Mr Nose is there to help!
Always!
Great matching of pens and ink. :)
It is so interesting when your color is so different from mine. I have Festive Cheer and it is almost black. Nowhere near the color on your swatch.
I have the first set from Sugar Turtle and really like both of them! I may like these a bit better, but it's close. I always like a sheeny blue.
Great colors!
I think so too!

@@cathrynesten4364 I don’t know for sure. You could ask Tom, though. He’s where the good official info lives.
Cool colors!
Love the Callifolio Andrinople in your comparisons, but every site I've checked right now are showing that ink as a kind of magenta, very purpley :(

@@inkdependence Thanks so much! It's a great colour :) Thanks for your vids!
Such nice colors. I think I prefer the pink but if you ask me tomorrow, I may favor the blue 😂
Right? I think I like the blue more, but that pink is a lot of fun. I haven't washed out either pen yet.

It doesn't look dim to me. I just changed my lighting set-up, though, and it should be brighter than before.
Looks a bit dim to me too. I assumed it was my device.

Huh. Well. I’ll look into the dimness thing.
Great video as always!
I appreciate that!
