You're a hero for posting this. This was bar none my FAVORITE thing about visiting Wisconsin Dells every year of my youth. I thought I'd never see it again. Bless you, sir or madam :-)
I used to love Robot World. I went there a lot as a kid. It's a shame it's gone now. I would pay top dollar to do that again. It's not like it's an outdated concept, robotics is currently a really popular, sophisticated, and ever-growing field of study. Come on, Tommy Bartlett, bring Robot World back!
DrummermanMatt I didn't realize it was gone! I loved that place as a kid. I was trying to find out of it still existed and came to this video and your comment. Such a shame they closed it. Do you know which year it was closed?
OMG!!! I went through this maybe 3 years earlier.... At the time it was the coolest thing I had ever seen! I fricken LOVED it!!! Thanks for bringing back some of my fondest memories of my childhood!
Tommy Bartlett was a midwestern trash genius who's entrepreneurial vision would match even Disney's at that time. He now designs Burning Man installations and art cars
Thank you so much for sharing this!!! I went back years later and was extremely disappointed when I saw how they had changed it. This is way Robot World should be remembered.
Love I found your channel..we wnt here about this same time..I'm gonna keep scrolling through the channel to see if you have a Xanadu video or fort dells
who was the comedian who performed at the Tommy Bartlett's 30 years ago. He did sounds of trains, birds, etc. My daughter who was 16 yrs. old loved him. She has since died and I'm trying to find the sound trac he gave her. Any help.

I wish it were still like this, my Dad took us here every summer growing up in the 90's. It's really depressing things have to change.
Yes! This was my favorite attraction at the Dells. Thank you for taking me back
Thanks for the post! Brings back many memories of my summer trips to the dells as a young child.
This was my favorite tourist trap as a child who grew up in the 80's.

Wow. It's like EPCOT in the early years.
Cool, I should have gone there when I had a chance. Cheesy, but amusing.

Wow, that is like an acid flashback to my youth.
So many memories
Hey, I wonder if the robots here are controlled by servos that were salvaged from 1957-59 Ford Skyliner retractable hardtops!
how futuristic
