Blueglass is a great guy. He is always in the room to support the runners, and really cares about the speedrunning community. He even does speedruns of Ecco. I dont find him to be annoying at all, and i think him just being there makes every run that much better.
PJ is my favorite runner of all time! XD I wish I could see him more. He's the funniest runner I've ever seen. Keeps me entertained, even makes me INTERESTED in the game AND makes me donate with his skill and comedy! That's what speed running and charity is for!
To this day, I still consider this the quintessential AGDQ run (and the most fun GDQ). The commentary, the gameplay, the humor, the ups, the downs... EVERYTHING about this was just amazing.
this is an amazing speedrun...i play this game every morning before work...i usually make it to the first boss and the ghost ship and then im done...its become a morning ritual...this takes massive skill to get good at one of the greatest hardest games of all time on the SNES
it's the most hilarous run i ever watch! well the runner is not one bit annoyed so i guess he's having fun with the crowd. i laugh with that guy a lot cos his laugh is just really funny hahahha
This is game of very hard nature. the many times i tried i can tell you, then i failed as always. You got me much fun while i watched at you and your friends and i thank you for
Something I've noticed is when you play a game to the point this guy gets at, it almost becomes muscle memory. I can return to games I played decades ago religiously and pick up the controller as if I never had stopped.
I been watching a lot of these speed runs, and yeah I too once thought to myself "Does a video exist without that guy talking and laughing along as a sound track??" but over time, I kinda feel that he balances out the intensity of most of these players. When the runner gasps or shakes his head in disappointment for landing on the wrong square or a heart not appearing where expected, I kinda think the guy in the back helps me / them remember that we're just playing video games here - who knows if you'll ever get the 100% perfect run.
Blueglass was the only spectator engaged the whole time in the speedrun. He's a trooper. I kinda miss him not being around in the later sgdq and agdq events.
MugiwaraLP I think.. he is flirting the entire video and this is his flirting laugh. By the way : I kinda like him. :D he is like the sterotype nerd i always wanted to see. He is pretty awesome.
All of the old console games were played on a big 4:3 CRT tv. However one of the CRT TVs did have that issue where you can't actually see the very top of the game video. Chrno couldn't see his health bar during the Skyrim Speed run for instance.
Man, there was so much good data PJ let out. I've been discovering the game on my own and he's just got so much knowledge I'd like to ask him some game mechanic questions.
man im not to put out much praise on the internet but SDA is really incredible....the amount of money they generate is staggering.....their are countless other more mainstream charity events with a ton more press coverage that generate a fraction of what SDA does...and i think the reason is that SDA seems legit and come off as if they really care and love what they do...not an ounce of pretentiousness...which is what most charity events ooze with...great job guys..best charity iver ever seen..
18:47, Poor PJ; nevertheless an awesome run! I vowed not playing this game again after such tribulation on the wii vc version. But after watching this and Kareshi's run I decided to tackle this game again on the wii u version; of course I use save states, but since I wasn't speed running it, that didn't matter. Today, I just finished beating it and thankfully never play it again. Thanks PJ and Kareshi; oh and SDA! :)
blueglass is the coolest dude at these events, always supporting runners even if it's way early in the morning and he's the only one watching. like his laugh or not he's still awesome.
You know, as much as I try to live and let live, I'm going to have to agree with the majority here that Blueglass needs to be quiet next time an event like this happens. I get that he's probably a great guy. I get that he probably has a tough time keeping it under control. I get that he helped to organize and run this event, and even participated in it. Fact of the matter is that being so obnoxiously loud and constantly chiming in like that is a distraction to both the speedrunners and the audience and really isn't cool in this setting. PJ seemed to take it pretty well here, but I know if I were in his shoes I'd be raging at him for doing that while I was trying to concentrate. Fun Ghouls N' Ghosts run though! Very entertaining.
I'm gonna side with... everyone. It's true Blueglass seems to be a really nice person who also seems to have a large fanbase and a "love it or hate it" laugh, I don't really know enough about him to make judgement but ultimately, you cant hate someone for their laugh, it's just a sample showing how much fun is being had there by many. What I really thought was at least a minor rude move was the constant comments during the run, Its PJ's run, let him concentrate/comment or the people he has assigned to do so. Laugh all you want Blueglass, no harm as far as I'm concerned; wish I could afford to travel across the world and hear it but come on mate let the runners concentrate, there are quite frequently runners on the couch who know the ins and outs of the game being played.
Great run, but this room is like the all-star team of nerds. From the beardo, to the koolaid man, the guy with the red button up sweater, the bowl cut, the chinstrap beard, and of course, the super laugh.
It's both and you're just jealous. It's okay though, we can't all be perfect. I'll admit even I have envied him before. I've never insulted him though. Guess we can't all be mature either.
Blueglass laugh might be annoying but its putting PJ in a great mood even when the run is going lousy. w/o him who knows how it would have turned out but I doubt it wouldint be better then it did. am glad he was there.
Was the TV an HDTV or a CRT? If it's cutting off the edges and it's an HDTV, then overscan (which can usually be turned off) could have been cutting off the edges of the picture.
@@cosmicsoul8042 de la primera era difícil porque uso el brazalete el no se dio cuenta que era un escudo y cojio el brazalete y dejó las antorchas y en la segunda lo mato con el anillo
I love this run but I don't understand why PJ was saying you can only have one lance on screen at a time. You can throw two normal lances at a time, the rocket lance is the one with a one shot on screen limit.
I swear PJ should be part of every single run. It always seems more fun lol
Blueglass is a great guy. He is always in the room to support the runners, and really cares about the speedrunning community. He even does speedruns of Ecco. I dont find him to be annoying at all, and i think him just being there makes every run that much better.
This is the best speedrun I've ever seen. I rewatch this multiple times a year
Ha. I've watched it like 3 times now. Feel ya.
I think you'd change your mind about that if you saw PJ's run of this game from 2014.
ua-cam.com/video/OdHsR6e0nlA/v-deo.html
Saved that this is anything but a speedrun. At a given point the player looses it and starts doing stupid crap all along.
"I can prove that that's the wrong drop." What a great rejoinder
Blueglass had the time of his life lol. The run was awesome tho.
i miss him so much. he brought SO much life to AGDQ or SGDQ with his ecco runs
PJ is my favorite runner of all time! XD I wish I could see him more. He's the funniest runner I've ever seen. Keeps me entertained, even makes me INTERESTED in the game AND makes me donate with his skill and comedy! That's what speed running and charity is for!
Ghouls & Ghosts, teaching us we're never safe and that all bets are off when playing a Capcom game. And PJ even applauded the wolf. What a guy.
I did not expect that voice out of that man.
To this day, I still consider this the quintessential AGDQ run (and the most fun GDQ). The commentary, the gameplay, the humor, the ups, the downs... EVERYTHING about this was just amazing.
His other run where he grabs every weapon that drops is amazing, I highly recommend that one too.
@@Intoxicatedmeta Oh believe me, I 1,000% agree. All of PJ's runs are absolutely incredible viewing.
this is an amazing speedrun...i play this game every morning before work...i usually make it to the first boss and the ghost ship and then im done...its become a morning ritual...this takes massive skill to get good at one of the greatest hardest games of all time on the SNES
Love the run PJ you're in my top 3 ever. The Solstice run was AMAZING btw.
PJ, whatever game you're playing, i always feel like you make everything better!
Sometimes I watch speed runs not because I care about the game, but because PJ is on the couch. PJ is the man!
PJ, Metasigma and the crew for tasbot are all the best P:
This was the most fun run I have done at AGDQ. Haha. Thanks for the upload!
PJ + Blueglass in the same room, that's how you know this gon' be a good, fun run!
PJs runs are always great!
No no, I'm always like this when I play. No amount of "lousy" makes me angry at this game. ^_^ For the record though, things were going quite well.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE RUNS
My God, PJ, you are the best runner that I know.
How do I become half as cool as you?
That laugh is awesome. He is one joyful man.
my favourite quote from laughing guy, "That was fast!".
Blueglass
NUCLEAR
"Now you have to do it all again! Haha!" as in "did you know this?!?! Mr. Speedrunner! Haha, did you know you're not done?"
The runner was amazing. Good commentary also. I enjoy it.
I've played this game so goddamn much. And yet I never knew you could turn into a bee
Lol the damage boost into the Lance was classic! Great run

It's really interesting and epic to watch hardcore gamers to play like this ! :)
PJ is so funny, loved that run
ty for that. I like to think SDA is a down to earth community and they care about the games and the cause
Something I've noticed is when you play a game to the point this guy gets at, it almost becomes muscle memory. I can return to games I played decades ago religiously and pick up the controller as if I never had stopped.
Good work guys, this is really a great thing.
Great play. I admit I cut a montage of 2 to 3 second clips of that guy's laugh. He's gold with that chuckle. Love the channel

Its 2021 and that is stil so true.
thks
this PJ guy is fucking funny. Seriously, his commentary makes this run fun to watch
This is freaking intense, I cannot even get past the second level.
Impressive. To speedrun a game like that with a a guy behind you like that. More harder. Congratulates.
A true comedy of errors right here XD
One of the more entertaining runs as a result!
This is impressive as hell, because this game is really damn hard hahaha.
Not really. I can do the first run on Expert in about 20 mins using the dagger, it's fast and the magic does a lot of damage.
This was a great run. PJ is a beast at this
Incorrect. Once the chest appears, it counts in the drop sequence. Breaking the chest is not necessary.

I just scrolled down to see if anyone else was as annoyed by this guys' laugh and comments. It's good to see that I'm among friends.
Malt Liquor Blimp really? C'mon, this is a 2 year old comment. But I agree with Henry Lerdal.
With my terrible video quality, I could've sworn that guy in the back was an old woman.

Racist.

32:38 My thoughts on Blueglass
no
I can assume you're talking about blueglass, yes he's a runner, he runs echo the dolphin. He's a really really cool guy
The reason why he got the shuriken sword thing instead of a blue shield is because he neglected to break the first chest in the level.
I have reached the green final demon on second run on Expert with the bracelet but he always kills me lol. This dude is damn godly.
