It's quite simple. If Saudi gives us at least 45m AND we are able to buy another high level midfielder (Caicedo, Tchouameni, Lavia, etc.) than we will sell Partey. But we need both or he won't leave.
Unless the price is over 80 mn for caicedo i dont see arsenal cooling there interest in him, why would we bid that amount in jan and suddenly cool our interest 6 months later for no reason. Jesus got 11 goals last season and missed half the season, I think we'll be fine in that regard for this season. That'll be for next season where we can drop a substantial portion of our entire budget on just a world class striker. We're not going to spend that amount of money in this window on top of what we've already spent. Toney isn't the level we want and need to take us up another level, at best he's a sideways step and I think even that's being generous.

I mean sure, if we could someone to score us an extra 20 goals a season and it not negatively affect the reason of the team, sure but that means you need a player that can do a lot of what Jesus does PLUS be adding that output. That's a £100m+ player and we just aren't getting that this season. But pushing back on your point, we literally just scored the most goals we've ever scored in a PL season and that was without our main striker for half the season. Do we really have a goal scoring problem? If Jesus has a full season, I fully expect him to get close to 20 goals. I think if Havertz is at left 8, he'll get us more goals than Xhaka did and with our relatively young and developing team, I expect the likes of Saka especially but Martinelli and Odegaard to also increase their output. If we can maintain our levels and not have anything go catastrophically wrong, I fully believe we can break 100 goals as is. We were only 12 off it last season. I don't think even last season suggested we had a goal scoring problem but I think that'll seem even less an issue this coming season. The only real difference this world class striker is going to make imo is this. They'll be able to get a goal when we really need to turn a result where an accumulative approach like i'm suggesting we'll have won't do any better than winning those games maybe 50/50. That is what the Haaland affect at City is and will continue to be. The second thing is that we'll blow teams out of the water more regularly and I think that will create a feedback loop of striking real fear in teams where instead of them thinking they can keep it at 1 or 2-0 and maybe get lucky, they'll simply be trying to not be embarrassed and secondly on that, it'll allow us to be so comfortable in a game early on we won't have situations like we had against Liverpool, Soton and West Ham crop up again. It'll have the added bonus of us being able to rest players better by taking them off earlier, keeping our best players fresher and giving valuable minutes to those trying to break into the team. Then 7 & 10 in the following seasons but was out of the team because he isn't the level and isn't the type of LB that works in system's like these.
