Aspinall being a 120 favourite is doing Jon a favour, in my opinion. If Jon thinks his performance was any which way good enough to face Aspinall then hes deluding himself. People need to play footage side by side at equal speed and you'll see the truly staggering difference.

There are no fraud checks if the fraud checkable fighter has beaten 2, 3, 4, 6 and 9 in a combined time of less than two rounds. Not that he can’t lose, but if he were to, it would not be a fraud check as he is no longer a prospect or contender he is the defending interim champion.
We already heard Jon say he'll do it for Fuck You money 🤣 if Dana really believes it's the biggest fight in UFC history he'll have to pay the man... It's not like this is a Jon vs Francis situation
@ so… MMA fans are weird… one minute every heavyweight is FAT and LAZY and SLOW but when it comes to defending Tom’s right to the right, the top 10 at heavyweight are great wins. Zero consistency
I’ve heard people throughout Jon’s entire UFC career say “Jon’s done” or “Jon can’t beat this guy”, etc. and I’m hear to tell you as long as Jon retires within the next 5 years and barring any major injuries during a fight Jon is going to retire undefeated whoever he fights.
Tom Aspinall isnt the interim champion anymore. But he still gets the same respect. He didnt lose the belt by losing fight. Kinda like your ol pal Colby Covington. Give Tom some credit
This is one of your better commentaries, Chael... I've studied the fight game since well before most fans were born.. MMA before UFC 1... I have never seen anyone in the HW division that moves like Aspinall with absolute destruction... Prime Fedor.. Prime ANY HW in Pride, UFC or any other promotion can likely take Tom the distance.. I AM not for a second questioning Jon Jones GOATness in LHW... He is going to regret moving up to HW if / when he fights Aspinall.. Jon is absolutely the interim champ...
Y’all think Jon Jones gon lose as an underdog with everybody saying how Tom going to beat his ass!!! All this motivation!!!! Yeah ok!!! Yall about to wake up a beast
Jones was being very respectful of Stipe and the sport of MMA, with Aspinall that goes out the window and we get that DOG the Jones truly is, unless Jesus killed Jon's dog
100% Agree. Jon does what he wants the public to see. He’ll string Tom along, play games. Meanwhile Tom is getting more pissed by the day. I don’t blame him. By the time they fight, Jon will be calm and Toms already really Angry. You heard Dana in the post presser. Jon will disappear for however long, then Surface when he wants to talk. I’m not saying it’s right, I’m just saying what I think might happen.
Ciryl Gane was a favorite over Jon when the lines for their fight first came out. It took like a week for Jones to overtake him as a favorite on betting sites.
Now that Stipe has retired, Jon has some of the slowest hands in the division. Tom's hands are some of the fastest, if not THE fastest. Remember Chael, father time is undefeated.
I have no issue with people pressing to see Jones vs Aspinall. It is the logical fight, it is the right thing to do, to unify the belts. However, when youre a multi divisional champ, who hasnt lost a fight and has been on top as long as he has, you have to respect his decision on who he wants to fight next. Jon isnt the greatest mixed martial artist ever simply because of his physical abilities, its also his in game i.q. When he says that he believes Aspinall is another "here today gone tomorrow" fighter, than it tells you that he notices something we dont. Furthermore, its easy to imagine what its like to fight Jon and imagine what youd do, how you would stratagise fighting against him. Its very different when you have to stand across from him and deal with the style he utilises. He has incredible defensive and offensive wrestling and is incredibly creative on the feet. He has more tools than Aspinall. So what exactly are Aspinalls keys to victory? Just go for the knockout? Jon has fought power punchers dozens of times throughout his career. He fought a much more difficult stand up fighter in Gane and obliterated him. Unfortunately for Jon, people have a short memory and have forgotten he has answered every question, every single time he has fought (barring a few close calls). I think Jon should vacate the title, let Aspinall defend it against either Gane or possibly Ngannou if he returns. Lets see Aspinall fight some legitimate and dangerous people first.
Its preety easy to throw a rock into an ocean from 1 ft away. Stipe looked glued to the canvas, I actually thought he was moving in slow motion and looked like he had Mike Tysons legs that night. He had no head movements his exits were straight back and lets be honest the finishing sequence from jon was slow as hell, He doesnt land that on nobody else. Stipe was a zombie in there.
To be fair, this Jon’s 2nd fight at 235+lbs on. Like anyone weight class, jumping up or down takes adjustment. And if he can’t find that weight that fits his physic, it’s gonna be a good fight with Tom.
I agree the interim championship is only introduced when the actual champ is injured or can't fight for a time period. Once the champ fights the interim title is meaningless. Aspinal is still rightfully next in line though.
9:10 A flying elephant roars when you mention the interim champ must fight the undisputed champ, so Tom must fight Jon. Make it happen Dana Pink! The gods have spoken.
Dana made the right points he doesn't want to make Jon vs Alex because there is no real way for Alex to win. Anybody can get clipped, but 95 times out of 100, Alex is going to the ground, and he will never return to his feet. Tom has a far better chance, as basically a young Stipe, at 250 lbs. He's still losing, but he wouldn't lose in 2 minutes, like Alex would. Alex would be Cyril Gane 2.0
Jones & Pereira can make Gentlemen's agreements like, let's keep it standing for the fans & both weigh in at the HW minimum Pereira is going for Triple Champ status v. Jones, Jones' last fight, this is the only fight to make
@@generalneylandGBMFO Why would jones take wrestling off the table in a bout with Alex? You know who Jon Jones is right? He would never take his wrestling /jui jitsu out of a fight with Alex Jon doesn’t want to be knocked out, he’s smarter than the average mma fan

@@generalneylandGBMFO Dogshit take. Again. You have no clue. Jones only has 1 or 2 fights left. If you think Dana will let Pereira go to HW so Jones can have a easier fight than Aspinall you have really no understanding of the UFC. If Jones want to fight Pereira he can vacate the HW belt and go to LHW. Pereira has the potential to be the new JJ for the UFC for many years to come. No way Dana risks that for 1 fight for Jones. Aspinall is the future of the HW division. Future Aspinall vs Ngannou would be so much bigger than Pereira vs Jones. We get it, you're a fangirl that only cares about Jones even if whole divisions get ruined. Imagine wanting two divisions in shambles just so Jones can have a easy payday. Pathetic. Just as the matchup Jones vs Pereira = Pathetic.
Jon has to play this smart. Don't forget that we have Gane vs Volkov in a month. If Gane wins and I'm Jon, I'm making Tom get through Gane first, and I'm fighting Pereira in the meantime to stay active
It’s fine, he should just retire. I’m not saying he has to fight Aspinall but he can’t hold the title and refuse to fight the best contenders. Jon had a laundry list of reasons why it wasn’t fair… while he’s the champion of his division. He was crying how unfair it is to fight anyone at a disadvantage. Lol. Bro
Ali, Fraser, GSP, Khabib, Chael, Anderson Silva, Chuck Lidell, Randy Cotoure, Faber, BJ Penn, Renzo, Rickson, Sugar ray Robinson and Leonard, Duran, GGG, Hopkins, Julio Cesar Chavez, Floyd, Tank AND MOST OF ALL....... 27X Grand Chamipion Renato Laranja....and the list goes on were or are NOT muscle bound fighters. I mean John Jones looked good in his last fight, but John Jones also faced someone that was out of their primary. He was 42 years old not too many people in their 40s are fighting for a championship belt and stipe has not fought in maybe four years
How was I supposed to see a weakness? His opponent was an inactive, 42 year old EMT who was the GOAT 3 years ago. Stipe was so inactive he went from Champion to #8 without fighting. It was a lame fight, totally sucked and I’m not into watching old men get whooped in exchange for money. The UFC is supposed to be the best vs contenders. Not the best padding a record, hiding from contenders and crying about legacies.
Miocic looked like that when he was a rookie trying to tear down a legend's legacy to boost your guy is why he's not ever getting that fight Bones v. Pereira is 50X more interesting
@@generalneylandGBMFOIts not. Because he wil just wrestle him like he did with Gane. Your Goat is smart fighter. When he said he saw holes In Gane's game. He was mostly talking about his ground game. He knows he not young anymore and can't compete with these up ald commers on the feet. So he is bascially going to just wreslter the rest of tje fight. That performance you saw against Stipe was last fight you saw fighting on the feet. There is no old men left he can test himself against In that area.
To be honest Jon's never looked better. His technical proficiency, power, precision, speed, etc. I don't remember John ever really hurting anybody with a single punch like he did steep a now granted steepest face was pretty tenderized after that first round but still, Jon's sitting down on his punches, turning'm over, straight down the pipe, not overextending with perfect positioning I mean beautiful work. And you can see the power that he was throwing everything with especially his stab kick. Even his jab for as fast as it was was pretty powerful. He's clearly put in a great deal of work during his time off and if his striking looked that advanced wait till you see is grappling. Make no mistake Tom has his hands very full as young and as fast as he is, Jon's dangerous and he's a mean son of a bitch in there. Tom's only hope is to get it done early
I’m not saying this to discredit Jones’ legacy, he is the GOAT. That being said, I am so confident Tom Aspinall would win if they fought that if the fight is made I will put $200 on Tom to win
I've followed U.F.C. since it started and started my training in the 70s im done now lol , point is Jones is one of the best I've seen in the cage no matter how you feel, love or hate him he's dam good . Heavyweights taper off from mid 30s so time IS running out for Jones , it would be a fascinating fight , skill sets aside, Aspinall is younger , bigger , faster and more powerful, ive studied him also from years ago and I believe he will be too much for Jones like Jones was for Stipe , Aspinall DOES have all the skills , he's just not been able to really showcase them since only one fighter has lasted longer than a single round , Volkov , Arlovski got a hint re Aspinalls' subs.
So he should be. Jon looked old Saturday night. He had every tool in the book, every skill unlocked, but he was slow, plodding along. It took him nearly 20 mins to finish a well past his best stipe. Stipe who retied immediately. Stipe laughing at the possibility of fighting again, knowing full well he's so far past it he's got no chance. If tom can deal with the grappling, and with his size and skill he's got a very good chance, his speed and power will catch jon easily. Jon can't fight Tom on the feet. If he thinks he can, he's wrong. People who think jon will win are the same ones who will be saying jon was well past his best when he get knocked out in 2 mins vs tom. If he stops ducking that it.
Pereira is a natural light heavyweight just like jones. The only reason I give jones a decent chance on aspinall is his grappling I love pereira but aspinall would would wreck him
Hey Chael, not sure if you’re aware, but whenever you say things…. Like what you said in this video, the protocol in 2024 is to follow that up with no Diddy, if not, everyone will be lookin at you a lil funny
If we want Jon to take this fight we need all betting businesses to give a FAKE betting line that says Jon is the man and its a long shot at best if he loses. We can change the betting line after he signs on the dotted line.
Jones was noticeably slower, Father Time is catching him. If he want the best chance to beat Tom he has to do the deal asap & set the date early asf in '25. He has sooooo many tools and aggression he could still win. If he waits another yr! Tom smashes him everywhere
@ I can’t be sure but there are some factors that help my thought process. Bones looked really slow and not super powerful with his hands and kinda sloppy in his last 2 heavy weight fights. Don’t get me wrong he is the goat and he could definitely win but I think Tom is to fast, to dynamic to powerful right now and is in the zone. I only worry about the ground game but Tom has good ground game and good luck getting him down. It will be a super fight and I hope it happens either way no matter who wins
I think that Tom should continue as if he's champ and not relinquish his belt. Jon never won the belt off of a champ so what makes him champ any more than Tom.
Think Tom has a lot of weapons and is our best hope of seeing Jj beaten at last, Tom also talks a good game too but I just hope that he does not freeze in there because talking and doing are 2 completely different things especially against Jon who has such a high fight iq and who has so many weapons of his own. Tom should not wait and fight on the front foot and not give Jon a look at him properly, I think Tom is more than capable of getting any man out of there quick, speed wins him this fight, in and out before Jon grabs a leg or two
Keep in mind… We ALREADY have seen jones legitimately beaten with The Reyes fight. That was a gift decision to UFC’s Wakanda child of privilege. Also… Gus actually beat him in their first fight. It’s arguable anyway. Not sure why some people still think jones has never been defeated. DEFINITELY was defeated in his main base… Wrestling. Lol Ol’ Matt Riddle whooped him! I am looking forward to Tom getting in the cafe with this parasite jones soooo much. 😂😂😂😂
Uncle Chael is wrong... Tom is itermin champ until the UFC states Tom is no longer the interim champion, they haven't done that and the UFC website and all their channels are still listing Tom as the #1 AND interim champ... If that changes everyone will know about it...
Tom is the real champion Jones fought an old man he himself is elderly and Tom defended his title already. Jones has no title Got to beat Tom to Win it.
I get what your saying about the interim but untill Dana comes out and says tom is no longer the interim champ then he is the interim champ untill he beats Jon or Jon gives up the belt
Jon was so so slow. His punches have nothing on em. Might as well be punching a bag as opposed to old stipe. He didnt move! Aspinall MONSTERS Jones. Ill happily put the house on Tom.
Jones is never going to fight a young, big, strong, well rounded, and fast prospect like Aspinall. He'd rather get easy money fights at this point. He should get into a fake boxing match with Jake Paul, if he's so much into cash grabs.

Fraud checked by "The Goat"/champion? That doesn't even make sense. Tom has already beaten five guys in the top ten in less than 10 minutes total.
@ so… MMA fans are weird… one minute every heavyweight is FAT and LAZY and SLOW but when it comes to defending Tom’s right to the right, the top 10 at heavyweight are great wins.
Zero consistency
Tom Aspinall is massive but Jon Jones will systematically pick the former apart. Jones won't allow Aspinall to close the distance.
He doesn't have much choice about the distance. They're basically the same height/ reach.
Tom has brought order to the Heavyweight Division
More is commin today, yall.
Lord Chael is always blessings us....
While saving MMA.... IN ONE HAND....
THE WORLD IN THE OTHER HAND. ❤
You said Michael Chandler suffered from ring rust against Charles. What was stipe suffering from at 40+ and last fight 4 years ago…
LOL , time to make some serious money with these betting odds
I don't think Jon is crazy enough to fight Tom, but if he is, I'm betting everything on Tom.💯
Y’all think Jon Jones gon lose as an underdog with everybody saying how Tom going to beat his ass!!! All this motivation!!!! Yeah ok!!! Yall about to wake up a beast
The wife beater mentality will come in
It’s essentially a coin flip. I’d love to see the fight happen. Hopefully it does.
Put up video's of Tom and Jon's last fights side by side and watch the difference!!!
Jones was being very respectful of Stipe and the sport of MMA, with Aspinall that goes out the window and we get that DOG the Jones truly is, unless Jesus killed Jon's dog
100% Agree.
Jon does what he wants the public to see.
He’ll string Tom along,play games.
Meanwhile Tom is getting more pissed by the day.
I don’t blame him.
By the time they fight,
Jon will be calm and Toms already really Angry.
You heard Dana in the post presser.
Jon will disappear for however long, then
Surface when he wants to talk.
I’m not saying it’s right,
I’m just saying what I think might happen.
@Kconstantine Jon will afford himself every edge over his opponent. It's why he's undefeated.
sonnen is only one who could say full of keen biting[stinging] sarcasm
Crazy odds, I’d say Tom is more certain of beating Jon than Jon is of beating Alex.
Ciryl Gane was a favorite over Jon when the lines for their fight first came out. It took like a week for Jones to overtake him as a favorite on betting sites.
I loved that engine rev in the underpass by the sitting traffic
Now that Stipe has retired, Jon has some of the slowest hands in the division. Tom's hands are some of the fastest, if not THE fastest. Remember Chael, father time is undefeated.
Cyril Gane had fast hands, too 😂
I have no issue with people pressing to see Jones vs Aspinall.
Jones & Pereira can make Gentlemen's agreements like, let's keep it standing for the fans & both weigh in at the HW minimum
Pereira is going for Triple Champ status v. Jones, Jones' last fight, this is the only fight to make
@@generalneylandGBMFO
Why would jones take wrestling off the table in a bout with Alex? You know who Jon Jones is right?
He would never take his wrestling /jui jitsu out of a fight with Alex
Jon doesn’t want to be knocked out, he’s smarter than the average mma fan
@@45thundertrain Jones can KO Pereira standing, same as Pereira can him
a ton of guys agree to stand before fights, it would be a Superfight & Jones' last time entering the Octagon, Pereira could just challenge him to a brawl for it all, usually works
@@generalneylandGBMFOuneducated comment
Jon has to play this smart. Don't forget that we have Gane vs Volkov in a month. If Gane wins and I'm Jon, I'm making Tom get through Gane first, and I'm fighting Pereira in the meantime to stay active
It would be a great fight. John would find a way to win
So let me get this straight, Stipe was too old for Jon (42/37), but Jon isn't too old for Tom (30/37) ?????
Oh by the way Randy Couture was heavyweight champ.
Don't use age for an excuse
It’s fine, he should just retire. I’m not saying he has to fight Aspinall but he can’t hold the title and refuse to fight the best contenders. Jon had a laundry list of reasons why it wasn’t fair… while he’s the champion of his division. He was crying how unfair it is to fight anyone at a disadvantage. Lol. Bro
It’s not about the age gap it’s about the top age. Past 37-38 most fighters have fallen off in ability.
I'm guessing you're young. 37 vs 30 is fair. 42 vs 37 is crazy because 42 is 4 years past prime. Most people think prime fighting age is 28-38.
Yeah, just like a 13 year old fighting an 18 year old wouldn't be fair. It's not necessarily about the age gap, but the objective age of the fighters.
Some definition yes, but not bricked out. Even Tyson was well defined and of course, he was sticky but his build was genetics more than anything. He is the closest thing to the exception.
Miocic looked like that when he was a rookie
trying to tear down a legend's legacy to boost your guy is why he's not ever getting that fight
Bones v.
@matrixxx3662 your "up & comer" is 32 years old 😆
@@generalneylandGBMFOUnless they 40+ Jones wont stand with them lol.
Technically and defensively, he was still very very good.
A bit slower, but everything he did was also very polished.
Only Chael can casually drive and record an analysis of Jon vs Tom.
Yea , but Jon Jones can still pick Aspinall apart: oblique kicks, elbows, body shots. Jon Jones can still take Aspinall down
I wish a woman would talk about me the way Chael talks about Tom
Pereira is a natural light heavyweight just like jones. The only reason I give jones a decent chance on aspinall is his grappling I love pereira but aspinall would would wreck him
SHILL HARD: The Chael Sonnen Story
Hey Chael, not sure if you’re aware, but whenever you say things…. Like what you said in this video, the protocol in 2024 is to follow that up with no Diddy, if not, everyone will be lookin at you a lil funny
If we want Jon to take this fight we need all betting businesses to give a FAKE betting line that says Jon is the man and its a long shot at best if he loses.
We can change the betting line after he signs on the dotted line.
Not surprised Jones looked great , he was fighting a 42 year old who hasn't been in the ring since 2021 where he was quickly disposed of
Jones was noticeably slower, Father Time is catching him. If he want the best chance to beat Tom he has to do the deal asap & set the date early asf in '25. He has sooooo many tools and aggression he could still win. If he waits another yr! Tom smashes him everywhere
Chael you gaslighting us hard. Stipe looked absolutely terrible...... Not even top 10 and almost took Jones to 4 rounds.
Why didn't Tom beat Arlovski in R1?
I thought the job of a champ/fighter is to find the easiest fight for the most money. According to DraftKings the best fight for Jones is Poatan.
At this point, Jon Jones is gonna retire undefeated and not risk tarnishing his win streak.
He has a loss thou
@@dozer7028It was a disqualification
He should leave though, so we can get the division moving. Jon’s being a Primadonna. It’s weird. His legacy isn’t even that good.
@@mattkaiser8984Explain?
Sooo Mans said "He(Tom) got the A$$ on him" and now I have to explain to the wife how Uncle Chael didn't mean it "like that". 😮😅😂
It’s not happening. Jon will tell the ufc he wants 50mill to fight Tom but he’ll fight Alex for 10.. and the ufc loves saving money
"Tom is beautiful".
~Uncle Chael 2024
Tom is going to eat him! It needs to happen
How can u be so sure?
He should mention Jones’s kids, and whatnot, he might get the fight like that
No he shouldn't
😂😂😂😂
that intro put me in a reverse komura xD
If Jon Jones wasnt obviously so scared of Aspinall, the betting odds would be maybe even in his favour.
If you've got the ass Aspinall has, you can take anything
"Tom Aspinal is an airplane ✈️" 🤩🤩🤩☺️" he's got an ass on him"🤩😍😍 calm down Chael 😂😂jk
Jon wins that fight
I am the BRIGHTEST NIGHT.
I am the DARKEST LIGHT.... &
I AM ASCENDING.....
STIPE THE GOAT✝️🇺🇸
I get what your saying about the interim but untill Dana comes out and says tom is no longer the interim champ then he is the interim champ untill he beats Jon or Jon gives up the belt
Jon looked bigger at the hand raising..way bigger
Chandler doesn’t deserve to fight Connor. Charles should be next up for the big payday
Jons just playing games.
As far as I’m concerned, once you defend the belt you’re a defending champion
Jon was so so slow. His punches have nothing on em. Might as well be punching a bag as opposed to old stipe. He didnt move!
Aspinall MONSTERS Jones.
Ill happily put the house on Tom.
Chael chill
I place my money on who I think is going to win, and personally? Tom aspinall does everything Jon jones can do, except maybe the spinning back kick.
I'm glad all these people are thinking Jon Jones will will so I can make money on the 60 second demolision job Aspinal will do on him.
What fight were you watching chael? Everytime stipe got close to box john literally turned and ran
How do they make the betting lines?
"He's got the ass on him." ~ Chael P. Sonnen
Jones is never going to fight a young, big, strong, well rounded, and fast prospect like Aspinall. He'd rather get easy money fights at this point. He should get into a fake boxing match with Jake Paul, if he's so much into cash grabs.
Chael I love you but saying Jon didnt miss any of strikes when it took both those old men half an hour to throw each shot is a joke.
