The damage Stipe took in the first round was NOT everyday average first round damage, he was notably hurt and pushing through the pain and potential/probably concussion..... Stipe is still a man, those shots will take any man down regardless who they are. The final kick was proof, doesnt matter who wouldve been on the recieving end of that they are going down. Kicks are not as prominent at heavyweight too
Bo needs to start putting up or shut up. Is he the new Colby? The deafening chants of "over-rated" seem to confirm that most fans feel the same way. Chimaev would destroy him.

I’m sure we’ll see a video on it but Chanel was also 100% right that Jon ducking aspinall was just a game he was playing. The pop he got when he said he’ll give the people what they want in his post match interview was crazy work
I absolutely admitted that DC especially in that third fight looked like his age caught up with him. I'm a stipe fan and I will tell you right now at the same age DC is just better than stipe most likely. I love stipe. I don't believe prime vs prime stipe and Jones goes any differently, but who knows. The reason any of this is relevant is that Jon is holding the belt and claiming to be the best fighter alive. The only way he can prove that is fighting the other man with a disputed belt.
I pray to the MMA gods that Jon and Tom fight, now. I look forward to Jon folding Toms reconstructed leg in backwards, taking him down, then elbowing extreme regret into Toms head, for calling the greatest of all-time a coward. Tom is going to be the biggest challenge of Jons career, no offense to the GREAT Chael Sonnen. Tom is bigger, faster and younger. With that being said, even in Jons slight decline, he still beats Aspinal because he's the @#$%ing GOAT. The UFC needs to make this fight right this second.
@@8thaccount535 I mean this when I say it... I don't want to see anyone, especially a good man like Tom, get injured badly. But, when you call the GOAT a coward... When you call a mean sociopath like Jon a coward.... You'll get what you asked for. Jon is mean on a level that we haven't seen before and he will hurt Tom
It ain't about Tom or Jon. It's about the natural order of a division divided. A real champ wants to unify and nullify any others' claim to what is his. Tom wants the shot to prove his claim. Jon is doing all he can to try to fight a former 185er instead.
Stipe looked slow.. Hurts to say it because he's one of my favorite fighters! I would put my house says Jon wouldn't have done that so easily 4 years ago.. Thanks for all the great memories, Stipe Miocic!👊
Jon is that good and Stipe also lost to father time. He fought two fights too many. The DC fights were wars. He got eye poked so much he had to start wearing glasses. He was a slow and I don't think he's seeing the punches well but Jon is better as a heavyweight than he was as a light heavyweight. Jon clearly got bored and was partying and doing drugs before. He's taken no damage in either heavyweight fight and they didn't last long. You see no reason why we couldn't get 3 or 4 more from him but that may be a trick of the eye. His body may be telling him it's time to be done. I can't help but wish to see him fight Tom, Alex and Francis to be done. He erases all doubt he's the best ever. Tom is going to be a more dangerous fight. I think he'll win handily though maybe by decision. If at some point he's willing Dana should make an inter promotion fight happen with Francis.
I think most people are completely wrong about Stipe vs Jon, and if you’re reading this, I’m curious to hear your thoughts. Gonna be honest, I think Stipe just didn’t care about this fight like he should have. I think his only objective was to finish his contract, and anything said by him before the fight was said to prevent skepticism of retirement to maintain interest in the fight. I don’t think he had the competitive mentality that he should have had. I don’t think he was there for the mental battle, and I don’t think he had faith in himself. Could he have won? Don’t know, maybe if he put forth more effort. Was he past his prime? Absolutely. At the end of the day, this is entertainment. I think Stipe was in it for the paycheck, a fight to fulfill his contractual obligations, and that’s it. I don’t think Stipe gave it all he had. And to be honest, it’s really disappointing. Such is life I guess.
He said a victory over Tom doesn't mean anything. What wee saw Yesterday Is even worse, simply 2 ex fighters sparring with acouple real kicks boring as fuck.
I would easily accept conspiracies that Stipe took money to certainly lose, just so Jones would keep his legacy pure and keep bringin money to the UFC... This was the worst Stipe ever, literally a joke, I mean stunning Jones and pulling back instead of rushing on him? Wtf was that all about? Not sure if Tyson was worse than Stipe in terms of non-engagement..
Same thing everytime “____ is going to beat Jones he’s never faced anyone like him” Jones wins & then people say “it has a sham that was a mismatch Jones would never beat ____” & Rinse and Repeat! It’s ALWAYS been the same!
You can’t expect reason from the average MMA fan. Despite the fact that until the final moment, it was a very competitive fight, you still had a bunch of Neanderthals in the comment section, doing as much as possible to discredit Stipe, and grossly exaggerate his shortcomings, all because they’re desperate to see the Aspinal fight. These people aren’t very bright.
Don't mind the bots, my man. They cannot accurately gauge the skills it takes to get in to the cage with the caliber of fighter in both Jones and Stipe.
Jones has always used those level changes with his striking as an incredible tool to do more than deal damage. It gives his opponent a lot to think about and throws them.into a defence mindset. When the opponent is in that mentality it gives Jones room to work and analytically assess their reactions. It makes it a game of cat and mouse and being the cat is always the position Jones sets himself in. Anderson Silva was the Spider, Jones is an Alley Cat.
People forget that in the heavier weight classes, the champs have been getting older and older…it’s not rare to see a heavyweight not get into his prime until 38 or 39. People act like Jon has been super active also. Was it as great a win as some people are making it out to be? No…..is it still somewhat impressive? Yes….stipe can still beat a lot of the top 12 heavyweights. Stipe in his prime would’ve still ended up in the position he was in Saturday. You can call him a shitty person, full of steroids, whatever you want, but the skills have always been world class. Plenty of guys juice and the vast majority never get close to the heights jones has
Knew Jon was special since his first fight in the UFC.. Been my favorite since his debut match and I've never doubted him inside that octagon on a fight night not once .. He is the one .. GOAT..
Jon Jones reminds me of Lawrence Taylor. #56 outside linebacker New York Giants. He used to tell the head coach Bill parcells do you want me to practice hard all week, or play 100% on Sunday. He would skip practice and set records on Sunday. Defensive GOAT.
Stipes striking looked slow, as rogan correctly pointed out numerous times, but his head and body movement looked on par for heavyweight. I think rogan pointed out another important thing which is that stipe was looking for an opening which never came. Lastly, when he did get an opportunity to punish jones, several times, he just let him go and thats what puzzles me the most. Did dana pay stipe off to make sure he could set up a mega fight vs pereira/aspinall? Sounds farfetched but you cant deny it would be of tremendously lucrative to the ufc shareholders. And its not like stipe would need to sell it, it would simply be a safety net against that "strikers chance".
I think Stipe could've used a tune up fight 2 years ago before fighting Jones after 4 years off, if he wanted to be at his best. He looked in great shape, still had his chin, but he did look a little stiff and a little slow. At 42 I think he definitely need to make a choice between being a fireman or being a fighter, his body just can't do both at the highest level anymore. Like take 3 months vacation from fire fighting and focus only on fighting. But that's not Stipe. He has accomplished more in this sport than most people could hope for, AND has a job that most people can't qualify for. He has nothing to loose, no one can shame him. So why not have a fight against the GOAT and go out for more glory?
Also I have to agree, he lost to an incredible performance by Jones. It's so rare to see someone walk down Stipe like that, and out wrestle him. And that kick at HW? Incredible. As much as we were making fun of JBJ taking all that time to bulk up, he sure did it right. What I cant stand is his Jesus and God and all American Trump groveling. I will shut it off every time he goes into one of those rants, it's just distasteful to me.
lol that was the first time we saw Stipe without a bounce in his step. Sure he always plods and stands but he also has always had that kangaroo bounce. Even in the first round, his knees looked like they didn't bend when he tried. His punches had no hip rotation, something he's always had even in his last Ngannou fight. Even the way he retired let us know this was clearly him picking up his last (and well deserved) payday. "I'm done.. thank God". I don't get it, the fight is over, you can drop the act. We wanna hear your REAL thoughts.
Say whatever, Stipe was not the same. He's slow, he works a more then full time job and hes 5 years older. Chael, something happens around 39-40. Im 44, I feel it.
1. Cormier was 41 the last time Stipe beat him. 2. Jon is 37. Same age as Stipe that last DC fight. Just because DC looked better than Stipe over 40 , doesn't mean we can Jones beat up on an old man without saying Stipe beat an ikd DC....which NOOOO ONE even thought.🤔
He beat a 42 yr old Stipe that hadn't fought in over 3 years and was coming off a KO loss and it took him 3 years. Steven Struve did it in 2 rounds and DC beat prime stipe in 1 round.
@8thaccount535 dumb take. Jones dragged his feet for years and demanded 3 or 4x the money he eventually took to fight Gane. He's gonna do the same thing with Tom. Jon ran from Francis and he's currently running from Tom.

The whole thing was a big show to get people like you mad and angry, and it worked very good on weak minded people with no brain. He was always gonna fight Tom, he just wanted to troll dumb people. And hes gonna make Tom looks as bad as Stipe, thats what Jon does to everyone. He makes amazing fighters look no amazing.
My God shut up and go get some nuts. Ruining the sport that you're still watching. Embarrassing to cry like this
He literally just said last night he’s open to what Dana wants. 😂😂
@@ragex2636 No, Jones quite literally priced himself out and said he doesn't want to do business with Tom. He's now gaslighting fans into thinking the fight they really want is him versus Pereira (a dude with 0 wrestling)
WRONG. sadly seeing nothing but disrespect for stipe, he shouldn't have taken this fight. stipe is 43
Tell that to Randy Couture, Daniel Cormier, Glover Texiera…Jones makes great fighters not look great. Stipe could still beat ranked guys.
Stipe took that fight for the same reason Tyson took the Paul fight... Dude got.paid..good for them. Not great for fight fans..
Bro imagine if Jon jones had DC mentality shit would be crazy as fuck
Father Time is undefeated and this weekend proved that. Across the board. Uncle Chael forgets that half of the drugs Jon used are performance enhancing.
Jones needs to be checked for PED's
W
Chael is in denial that the guy who ragdolled him is taking easy fights might be too much for his ego
Na he just follows the script
Jones *still* has his toe taped from when Chael broke it.
Every Heavyweight fight is an easy fight for Jon. None of these guys are even close to his level.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
heavyweight is a trash division rn
"Who are you going to believe: me, or your lying eyes?" - Chael Sonnen.
Stipe looked horrible what are you talking about? He was stiff slow af and couldnt even move well. Dude threw shots like crap his boxing was gone. He didnt even rip to the body which hes known for. Like his shots were crap. Whats funny is he still touched jon a bit and that means tom would touch jon alot more.
Casual
@jimtom4878 only casuals call others casual.
Stipe was slow. Jones wants not part of aspinal
Yeah because Tom is a bum
A liver kick would have been just as devastating but that was a kick to the floating ribs Chael..
Stipe literally couldnt move. He was a heavy bag and looked terrible. It wasnt becasue of father time, it was grandfather time. This was about as bad as the tyson fight who clearly didnt want a fight just wanted the money.
Stipe did too much weightlifting and added bodyweight that made him tight and slow.
Of course Stipe looked slower after that first front body kick and the nasty ground and pound that messed him up. 10-8 dominant first round sealed the deal. Stipe never had a chance after that.
Stipe looked slow from the opening before he was ever kicked. He still had power though, Jon said in multiple post fight interviews that stipe hits hard, really hard and that it even made Jon a little hesitant and not want to exchange up close with Stipe. And he said it was demoralizing landing the big shots on Stipe and him not even flinching or acting like he got hit. SAID stipes durability was unbelievable.
Kicks are not as prominent at heavyweight too
Stipe was literally shivering on the stool after the first
I always say that finally
Jon been out as longer or longer as other fighters taking big lay offs and moving up in weight.
Bo needs to start putting up or shut up. Is he the new Colby? The deafening chants of "over-rated" seem to confirm that most fans feel the same way. Chimaev would destroy him.
It was literally a couple of good punches away from being a paddy pimblett jared gordon flashback 🤣
OSP wasn't a title fight Chael. Stipe didn't get kicked in the liver Chael.
To Chael, Jon Jones, and Dana,
“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
Yours sincerely, George Orwell
And I noticed how stipe went to defend the kick and the way Jon snuck his foot into the small window that was available was a real thing of beauty
Stipe looked older than Mike in there.
No he didn’t. He got smashed in the first round and the continued fighting with a concussion
Because he got a 100 elbows to the head? Casual
@@minnil7927nah, he’s 42 and hasn’t fought in 4 years. He has come from behind worse than that. He’s old and no longer an elite fighter.
Crazy take
@@minnil7927 Yes he did. He was insanely slow
So you are glazing Jones now too? Stipe was too old
Joe rogan, Chael and even DC... what hell is going on ?! How much dana paying them ?
I’m sure we’ll see a video on it but Chanel was also 100% right that Jon ducking aspinall was just a game he was playing. The pop he got when he said he’ll give the people what they want in his post match interview was crazy work
No Stipe fan admitted how old, broken (back), and slow DC was in their trilogy. No excuse here. Jon wiped the floor with him.
Because DC was an active fighter at the time and not coming off a 4 year layoff🤡🤡
I don't want Tom to get injured, I like him, but I am looking forward to the tears of the Tomboys when Jon wins.
@@8thaccount535As far as the Tom fan boys, I call it "Mouth To Aspinal Syndrome"
That's my term, btw. You'll only see that comment if I wrote it. Lol
I posted that last night. Jones is going after that leg 🦵
Thumbed for that last bit.
Bones Jones is the Goat 🐐 no matter what all the haters say.. Jesus is Lord Jesus is King.. Truth hurts.. let them trumpet's sing ...
It's going to be so entertaining watching the Tomboys cope after Jon dismantles Tom. I like Tom, but his fans deserve what's coming.
I don't even like Jon but the Tom fanboys are insufferable.
It will be heartbreaking to the Jon Jones haters.
It ain't about Tom or Jon. It's about the natural order of a division divided. A real champ wants to unify and nullify any others' claim to what is his. Tom wants the shot to prove his claim. Jon is doing all he can to try to fight a former 185er instead.
@@jasond198Jon is going to fight Tom. Everything else is just hype and marketing.
Tom is humble guy. He approached jon in very good way but his fans so annoying as if jon jones robbed there money
Stipe looked slow.. Hurts to say it because he's one of my favorite fighters! I would put my house says Jon wouldn't have done that so easily 4 years ago.. Thanks for all the great memories, Stipe Miocic!👊
After watching the fight, twice, Reyes beat Jon, 3 rounds to 2
I'm just sayin'.....
Correct but jon beat him in championship round
If at some point he's willing Dana should make an inter promotion fight happen with Francis.
this fight felt illegal to watch
Jon beat an old Stipe who shouldn’t have been fighting for the belt anyways.
Fight Tom or vacate
He will vacate
I would easily accept conspiracies that Stipe took money to certainly lose, just so Jones would keep his legacy pure and keep bringin money to the UFC... This was the worst Stipe ever, literally a joke, I mean stunning Jones and pulling back instead of rushing on him? Wtf was that all about? Not sure if Tyson was worse than Stipe in terms of non-engagement..
Nope. He just smoked you, and now you are glazing. Stipe shouldn't have been there
Finally, ive been waiting for uncle Chael's video all morning
Give Me Jon Jones Vs Alex Perreira
Same thing everytime “____ is going to beat Jones he’s never faced anyone like him” Jones wins & then people say “it has a sham that was a mismatch Jones would never beat ____” & Rinse and Repeat! It’s ALWAYS been the same!
Great career, stipe. Thank you. 👏
This is a good honest review. So many ppl let their dislike of Jon into their analysis
Jon never would have had a close match if he was more focused during his career ❤
They cannot accurately gauge the skills it takes to get in to the cage with the caliber of fighter in both Jones and Stipe.
perfectly said 👏
Jones has always used those level changes with his striking as an incredible tool to do more than deal damage.
Unc be feeling like Jon is Yuri Boyka "...the most complete fighter in this world...with a gift from God"
I completely agree! Stipe’s life was gone after being taken down in round one… it was a beaten…
so you are saying stipe wasn't flat footed, slow, and clunky? I love Stipe but come on. He was doing all of the wrong things
Plenty of guys juice and the vast majority never get close to the heights jones has
Come on Chael, stipe looked old and slow AF. 🤦🏻♂️
Chael is putting in overtime, to convince Jones he can beat Tom!
Knew Jon was special since his first fight in the UFC.. Been my favorite since his debut match and I've never doubted him inside that octagon on a fight night not once .. He is the one .. GOAT..
He trains at Jackson’s in Albuquerque also he trains at his home gym as well in Albuquerque
Yes Chael. A HW just KOed the GOAT HW with a jumping spinning back kick. That is amazing, and I felt Stipe looked pretty good.
Big Jon made it look easy again
Thanks for the video, CHAEL SONNEN
Say whatever, Stipe was not the same. He's slow, he works a more then full time job and hes 5 years older. Chael, something happens around 39-40. Im 44, I feel it.
Hey Chael, hypothetically, how do you think a prime Jon Jones vs. a Prime Fedor could've played out?
Tom would have flattened that version of Stipe in under a minute. Jon wouldn’t last much longer either. Both moving like they’re fighting underwater
Stipe lost to father mentality. Thoughs elbows, and that kick to the stomach, crushed Stipe mentally. You never know what Jon is gonna do. 🐐
I know what Jon is NOT gonna do. 🦆
Respect to Chael, he doesn't let his bias overide objectivity. Jones can only beat himself. Aspinall, is not ready for the G.O.A.T!!
Tito tapped
MIKE and stipe both got exposed in the same weekend…what a business fighting is….
Tyson was too old and too slow in his last fight 20 years ago. People decided to focus on how great he looked as a teenager 35 years ago instead
Can we have an honest debate? Honestly. How do people expect Tom to beat Jon outside of a potential flash knockout?
That was the ghost of Prime Stipe
Quarentine ufc fans: stipe was slow
Yea jon beat the sh out of him in round 1 and hadicapped him
Lol...washed up Stipe
Finally someone nailed it! Tired of hearing this ducking narrative. He’s just that good
He beat a 42 yr old Stipe that hadn't fought in over 3 years and was coming off a KO loss and it took him 3 years. Steven Struve did it in 2 rounds and DC beat prime stipe in 1 round.
"Alexa,
What did Francis, who never lost his belt, do to Stipe FOUR YEARS AGO?"
Francis ran away
@8thaccount535 dumb take. Jones dragged his feet for years and demanded 3 or 4x the money he eventually took to fight Gane. He's gonna do the same thing with Tom. Jon ran from Francis and he's currently running from Tom.
If that Stipe touched Jon, imagine what Francis or Tom would do.
The respect Uncle Sonnen has towards Jon Bones Jones is so admirable
The UFC should immediately sign
Anatoly Malykhin ✍️
I’m glad you said this Chael. This fight showed how many dumb casual fans just go with the crowd. John looked absolutely amazing. You need to have a respectable IQ to understand high IQ fights. Stipe looked rusty, but looked good. Stipe would’ve beaten every heavyweight that night other than Tom Aspinall.
I’ll miss stipe, the game lost a legend and arguably the greatest hw of all time from the UFC. I hope his career doesn’t get overshadowed by this performance.
Stipe must be the only man with his liver on his left.... Chael can't be wrong!!
Chael- we watch because you normally don’t talk nonsense - stop talking garbage!
This weekend with Tyson and Stipe we learned Father Time is the master
Hey Chael, how cool was it to see Jones finish Stipe in only 3 rounds........with his gut hanging out😯. Gives all of us ordinary dad body guys someone to relate to. Howz bout you do one of your video's with your gut hanging out, eh?
Hes right. Jones really is that good. Tom Aspinall should be worried. If stipe really is so old like all you say why was jones running away from his power the entire fight?
Stipe looked like the crypt keeper and jon looked slow. Aspinall kills both easily
LOL, hold onto that hope, when Jon beats up Tom don't take it too hard.
All yall folks hating but almost( excluding tom ) EVERY professional ( fighter thats do or done fighting in that cage for a living , commentator that sat cage side says that was a good preformance fron Jon
Agree. I've never liked Jones, but last night was wild. That last round, he was in complete control. I don't believe there is a man alive today who can beat him in a cage fight. Massive respect.
I strongly believe aspinall can knock him spark out
Imagine being such a casual that youre impressed that he beat a 43 year old who 0-1 in the last 4 years.
