    I have ADHD so I find most other UCAT tutorials difficult to watch, because they're always so long and full of waffle. Your videos however are concise and easy to follow. I watched this on 2x speed and still understood everything fine. This has helped me a lot. Thanks!

    Hi Sir, would that be okay if you do more practice questions about this syllogism and interpreting information in decision making. I found this very helpful.

      Oh my - I genuinely hope it helps - my advice to you would be to get used to writing short hand form notes - or even replacing key words with symbols BASICALLY modern day hieroglyphics (like the arrow method)

    I feel like this would work for the shorter statements given but could you possibly make a video where you go through this method in the longer statements? Thanks!

    • @MedicHero
      @MedicHero  2 роки тому +3

      Hey, sorry I didn’t understand what you meant by shorter statements (as they all have to be a max of 47 lines) , this just to provide some structure and get you started off !

      @@MedicHero Apologies. I meant to say that maybe this method would be difficult to follow with the longer syllogism questions that have 3 or more lines of information. I may be wrong but it would be very helpful if you could possibly go through the more extended description syllogisms using this method. Thanks!

      Which one ? No doctor is vegetarian the answer is no because it dosent say in the passage that doctors are vegetarians

  • @Dandelion_flight
    @Dandelion_flight 3 місяці тому

    I agree that drawing for DM is a great idea. That said for the example near the end about no doctor is anaemic and many vegetarians become anaemic, the last three questions did not necessarily need a diagram, they are very straightforward. I am not sure if you even resorted using the diagram as you were mostly reasoning out verbally. With regards to the second question 'some vegetarians are doctors' @9:09 Why can't the answer be 'Yes'? There can be doctors who are doctors but not anaemic since the statement says 'many vegetarians' but not 'all vegetarians are anaemic'. I don't think you actually used the diagram to solve the questions too.

    Hi please could you clarify something?
    Throughout my practise questions on different platforms medentry/medify/tutoring each give a different answer to this question.
    If the stem says i.e. "Chris likes all mountains"
    and one of the options are "Chris likes some mountains" yes/no
    What would the answer be? My tutor said it would be yes because it IS true that he likes some mountains but the explanation on medentry states that it does not follow because the stem said 'all'.
    PLEASE HELP :(

    • @yosifrasoul5754
      @yosifrasoul5754 Рік тому +2

      The definition given by UCAT for 'some' is 'An undetermined number being more than one but less than all. A part of it, not all of it' therefore Medentry is right

    • @TM-cb6gz
      @TM-cb6gz Рік тому +1

      @@yosifrasoul5754 thanks. Its very confusing because this completely contradicts Medify and Medic mind. They say if 'All' then must also be some (not not vice versa obviously).

    Can't vegetarians be doctors as only some vegetarians are anemic therefore the non anemic vegetarians can be doctors

    • @hopeshineseternal
      @hopeshineseternal 2 роки тому +2

      There 'could' be vegetarians who are doctors but we don't know that for sure. maybe all the non-anaemic vegetarians just don't want to be doctors. hence the statement cannot be concluded

    • @AO-cu7xp
      @AO-cu7xp 2 роки тому +2

      Logically, yes some vegetarians "could" be Doctors. However, with the UCAT, you cannot assume or rely on the probability of this being true. If you cannot draw a solid conclusion from the statement, then the statement is false. :)
