First week back as a third year medical student
OHHHH it’s been a whirlwind so far , from GP to settling in with massive workloads well still doing my BmedSci presentation stuff to then doing side projects.
Life is moving fast and it’s scaring me but I hope throughout this I find my ground and enjoy it to the max and hopefully radiate so much positivity that you feel it through your screens!
Also if you’re thinking of getting the aloe Vera I showed you then click this link l, I promise you , it’s different to others :

These are the shortest syllogism questions I’ve seen, I swear they have bumped them up this year, I’ve tried this method, and I just can’t get it to work, especially with longer questions

I agree that drawing for DM is a great idea. That said for the example near the end about no doctor is anaemic and many vegetarians become anaemic, the last three questions did not necessarily need a diagram, they are very straightforward. I am not sure if you even resorted using the diagram as you were mostly reasoning out verbally. With regards to the second question 'some vegetarians are doctors' @9:09 Why can't the answer be 'Yes'? There can be doctors who are doctors but not anaemic since the statement says 'many vegetarians' but not 'all vegetarians are anaemic'. I don't think you actually used the diagram to solve the questions too.

Hold your horses! So that is still also possible you might be drinking lots of water but drinking lots of water vs efficiently hydrating yourself are slightly different things. This isn’t to say it is 100% correct however this official clinical test is used to determine dehydration in most cases.

This may help you : www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2658191/ TLDR: “Skin turgor is generally accepted as part of the clinical assessment of hydration status in children being a quick, non‐invasive test that can be performed at the bedside.”

So here goes: Diagnosis Pup Pressure pinch nail a couple seconds then let go Urine: observe the colour of urine Pinch the knuckles then let go Micro Movements Consumption Gel water i.e fruit Camel Milk Butter from goat milk

It's an interesting point! When I type fast it does feel like I disengage my brain to do so. Maybe it's because we've learned to not look at the letters or even the screen at times.

The more I think about it, we can do the same thing with handwriting. However , with handwriting I feel it’s more synchronous with the brain but there are literally multiple factors to this. I think there is definitely a greater degree of focus with handwriting as we have to consider are we writing in a straight line , when does the paper finish so we can write on a new line and many other things. Because of that I feel the brain can’t switch off and is in sync with our hand when we write. Procedural memory is a very interesting concept
