Daniel I’ve been losing my mind trying to find this song on Spotify or Apple Music or even just the album for purchase - do you know where I can find it?
I'm sure they feel very proud that they learned an English word, but barking out PARADISE doesn't really add anything; it's just obnoxious. It's like, imagine listening to Cindy Lauper's Time After Time song and someone repeatedly yelling "WASABI!" throughout the song.
It's super common in this specific universe of 80's Japanese pop music for the song to be entirely in Japanese except for 1 or 2 English words sprinkled throughout. The most popular example I can think of is Plastic Love by Mariya Takeuchi. The verse is entirely sung in Japanese except for "don't hurry" and "I'm sorry" at the end of the verses -- also the chorus that loops at the end is in English. Another example is Solid Slider by Tatsuro Yamashita. The only English words sung are "Solid Slider." I don't understand why this phenomenon happened but it occurs often in songs from this era. Side note: if you are DJing a pool party in the summertime and someone is shouting "paradise" in a song, it works!
@@DanielT1983 That was certainly the trend. It's usually fine and sometimes even gels well with the songs, but here it's rather obtrusive. I'm sorry; I otherwise like this song, but yeah...

Songs would be better without the " Butterdice" off sync stuff
I mean, it is pretty unique. Without it, it's just another city-pop funk song.
that hook makes the song!!
"Butterdice" is fantastic!
No
its hardly off sync, its in diferent time signature ;);thats why sounds unique , and is esental part ...would destroy feel of the song if removed
