I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I agree with the climbing vines---they will soften the look of those metal trellis panels. Will try it next spring for sure.
You must live near me in Northern Virginia. Next summer buy a potato vine. It grows fast, climbs, and has a lighter green that provides a dramatic backdrop for any floral. If you plant rosemary,/oregano/thyme, they will all winter over. Most of the time, mums will too. Then you only have to get a couple of fancy annuals. I just love your design!
