It's remarkable to see you sowing transplants at this time of year. I'm in the far north and I'm anticipating our first killing frost in the next couple of weeks. After that, nothing happens outside until next March - four months from now. At the moment, I'm busy doing my final harvests and prepping my beds for the bitter cold. In the meantime, I'll enjoy watching you growing things through my dormant season. Thanks for your many informative and entertaining videos.
Just got my 3 packs of carrot seeds from you today. I’m planning on getting those planted in some grow bags this coming weekend. Thank you for all the gardening knowledge you share with us!!!!
Jeff from East Tennessee. Got 62 cabbage plants that are getting pretty big. Other than that I have some cold weather variety of broccoli that’s close to the size of yours. I have not even seeded other fall plants yet. I do have short day onions about ready to go in. Just behind on other plants. May try overwintering kale, collards, and spinach!! If we have a little warmer winter then they will be fine. Thanks!!!
It's good you still have time to grow Broccoli ,& Cauliflower. I hope they do well! Were cleaning out our gardens, Its been in the 40's the last few nights, & forecasting 30's a couple of nights next week... I hope to have My onions & garlic in soon, & my plots cleaned out/cover cropped by November!
I’m in a constant, epic battle with squirrels up in in northern North Carolina. Right now I’m growing in grow bags and they are tearing everything up. When I finally get my fenced in garden built, it will be electrified from top to bottom to keep the varmits out. Fall gardening is a struggle for me. As always, great vid Travis.
Love the wildlife/farmer community meeting concept. A fair give and take session. How to avoid a Pb injection supplement if you don't want one. Cheers, Chuck in Jensen Beach FL. 9.5 inches of rain so far as of Wednesday 6pm since Saturday 6pm for this Milton storm event.
I have found that the bunnies do not like the smell of the Alaska fish emulsion, and I'm not afraid to use it often on my brassicas. But this heat in Central Oklahoma is making me work hard to keep them from bolting. But I just ate some mustard greens and rainbow chard that are going gangbusters despite the heat... Oh and bunnies don't like blood and bone meal either..
I missed out on the Green Magic broccoli plugs so I ordered the seeds. I also ordered the Jade Cross Brussel's sprout seeds to plant extra in case I don't get anything decent from my current Brussel's Sprout plants that are in the ground. We no longer have rabbits around here but hopefully squirrels won't eat these things. I will also be planting some lettuce and other greens soon.
Glad I waited to plant in ground these young tender transplant no match for these hurricanes. I'm here in Thomas County so might wait little longer to plant.
I am on my second round of seedlings😢 .. the heat here in Southern Oklahoma has still been in the high 90's, but our thermometer have been reading over 100 .. our first frost date is supposed to be Halloween .. that's a big drop in a very short time .. don't know how to move forward on my planting with these temps
The rabbits might listen, but the gophers have been the bane of my existence this year! They've even ruined the roots on a lilac tree! I think they've been drinking and are mean drunks zig-zagging through everything I've planted.
Fish emulsion works great but smells awful inside. If your plants are in a building outside ur home I'd use the fish or Agrothrive all purpose, it stinks as well but plants love it
L 2:08 Hey Bro . Been so busy reading about the storms I didn’t stop to check in .. Did you get any part of the Hurricanes ? I’ve been using cattle tubs for 2 years. This year was a little better than last year but wasn’t great . Any suggestions?
Bunnies are cute but very destructive. I have a "Have a heart" trap and so far its been 5 possums, 2 raccoons, and a bunny in about a week. Whatever it takes.

I love that you have a meeting with the wildlife. Maybe I should do that but not sure I will invite the skunks. 😂😂😂
😂😂😂 I love it.
Love the annual wildlife meeting you have. Priceless!!!!....
A little bit of humor goes a long way. Made me smile!!

I have the same talk with the birds getting around my tomato plants of course I don't think my birds understand English
Always good stuff Travis.

I was really paying attention to this “annual wild life meeting” part 😂 then when you said we gather all the animals up…😅
Those look great!
Good advise!
More carrots in a few days.. All of my HOSS and Lazy Dog Seeds were 100% reliable.
I'm not a great gardner but I do have a thick bed of clover next to the garden and that's where the rabbits spend time.
Wildlife mtg… I like it!
Rabbit stew

Shoot, on pest management, I thought you were going to say something about traps and rabbit stew. 😉
I thought your no. 1 tip was when you fertilise to always use a dawg bucket
That’s not a tip it’s a rule 😂😂😂😂
As a WSU fan I could never use a Dawg bucket because that means something different up here in WA. Lol
White tail treaty! 😂. Let us know how it goes.
I packed in about 10 kale and 20 collard green plants in a 4' x 12' foot bed with some green onions in between those. I may have gone overboard.

What do you do with all the veggies you produce?

12:40 So do my varmints. 12 guage rules.
Can a person put pond algae on a clay soil garden? Would this create a humis? During winter, i live in northern ohio,
Genius
What rescue nitrogen would you recommend, calcium nitrate or sodium nitrate ?
We watch all of yours and your dad’s videos. Are you not doing any Row By Row videos with dad anymore?
I'm not. I resigned from there over three years ago.
Some nice fried rabbit to go with those collards.
Unless I missed the video, No Brussel sprouts this year?
Does the soil not block/clog the holes in the drip line when you bury it?
It doesn't. Drip tape was actually designed to be buried.
Mr Travis what fertilizer should I use on onions plants in a seed trays I got about 250 seeds planted and the are up that I will plant November

Good compost and organic fertilizer
Got it all planted out and everything is looking good except the slugs have found it. Is it safe to put the slug bait around my plants?
Sure. There's a product called "Sluggo" which is organic.

Trespassers will be composted🐰🙈😬
