Simon Fuller (who created the spice girls) made them a group, if you’re interested in how they became now united there is a short documentary on their UA-cam channel, is pretty entertaining and fun! At the beginning they were 14 members, one of each country, and as today they have added 2 more girls from Australia and Lebanon. Is super cool how they all have their flag on their uniforms and, if you look closely, the number on their pants is the order in which they got chosen to be in the group!
