Now this is how restore an old school bird. Clean up the body, interior, cosmetics etc and KEEP THE PONTIAC V8. Doesnt matter if its original or mix and match heads for more tire burning torque. Thanks to those who kept Pontiac's Tin Indian in its rightful place. LSx and LTx motors can melt at our exhaust tips for all i care. I cant wait to drop the 7.5L into my 96 WS6. There is no replacement for displacement!
Superb work to all of V8TV, really rewarding to see the beauty and performance come together after all that hard work! Keep up the good work and keep the V8 alife!
Great looking 'bird! Nice to see how well you have transformed that machine instead of just another Camaro. I have a similar paint scheme on my '69 Firebird.. Viper Red with matte black tail and black spoiler. I went with a bored 455 though after I blew my last 428..
you guys did a fantastic job of building a piece of history, i give millions of stars and wish i could of been part of your crew...btw my 69 firebird is here on you tube orange with black stripes. soon to have larry wenzler tunnel ram, almost ready to bolt her on.....as i said fantastic car and crew............................
I for one especially appreciate the Pontiac mill under the hood. Understandably many builders have been throwing LS engines at everything. Nowadays I am more impressed by those who chose an engine that matches the brand of the car. Modern performance from a vintage engine requires a little more care and it presents a greater challenge with even better character. Beautiful work.
Vintage is cheaper and easier than this new aluminum computer garbage they got now. 10.1 comp heads on an 8.5:1 block makes 11:1 comp now some distributor timing adjustment and some lead additive now you got a chassis twisting beast.
Extremely tasteful. Very nice mild custom with the body color nose resembling the 1970 GTO. Someone should reproduce that custom "1970 GTO for 1969 Firebird" nose, as well as a "1968/9 GTO for 1967/8 Firebird nose" with hideaways. Could also be done to look more stock with Ram Air IV or V heads. This is an extremely tasteful custom that does not go overboard with expensive body molded wheel flares or silly lowering. Would like to see such with a Heidt IRS.
Need the white 69 trans am stripes on it. For me, the fuel injection would have to go. I would want one of the 800 cfm SD 455 carbs. Nothing like the sucking sound of a Q jet on a pontiac.
rely rely nice work guys i like it and rely i am in love with the trans am keep going guys and lets tray to safe the trans am history for ever and in the and thnx for the clip
@V8TV love the build :) like the new touches from the old carb gas gozeler setup to efi im 19 and also have a question did it increase mpg? compared to the carb setup
nice job everything looks good but this car is not meant to b quiet its meant to b feared soon as u hear it comin down the block nice job tho i hope mine comes out lookin this smooth
Hmmmm..... I wonder what the car sounds like when its not being drowned out by the elevator music that so called "car guys" INSIST on putting into these videos.... Just ONCE, it would be nice to hear a CLEAN engine track from one of you guys!!
Personally, I would've had an all aluminium Ram Air V 428 w/EFI and a T56 put in this. Would've removed that hideous steering wheel too. But hey, not my car.
Aggressive ? How in the hell can or will a Simple Auto Glass Window be that Weird & Highly Overused auto word aggressive, Man does that term ever piss me off especially when it's Overused & Highly Way out of Context,Way out, Next thing you know this place will make a 5 Door Hatchback Front wheel drive BASE Frumpy Lumpy (for Fat & Lumpy/ with buldges coming out of every panel ) Datsun/Nissan Rogue and or Juke look & Surprising sound 4 cyclinder AGGRESSIVE. Now that would be the total Out of Context term for auto aggresssive right their.

I want one.
Listen to the engine breaking up and stuttering at 7:00. Remind me to stay with a carburetor.
I guess 6 LTx/LSx luvers are hatin cuz they still gotta put money into those small cubes to equal our stock power LMAO.
demariofreakingjason say: superb
this is my friends car =)

68 Camaro No Mouse 2
WHY a wing in the back?????
That's a reproduction of the original 1969 Pontiac Trans Am spoiler, which matches the Trans Am hood and side air extractors.
Cuz it's cool
@@V8TV exactly
car would look tons better with the tires dressed ........ Lots of work to leave it sitting on dirty tires.

"In the interior we wanted everything to look like it belonged". Wtf is up with that steering wheel? Get that shit out of there.
