  • When I was exploring 2 Weeks in Singapore with my mother, there were a few days when I went on a solo exploration spree. I covered some beautiful parks and attractions and found it extremely easy to navigate around on my own.
    ➡️ Japanese Cemetry Park
Japanese Cemetery Park is the largest Japanese Cemetery in SouthEast Asia and serves as the burial ground of the Japanese residents of Singapore.
One can visit these tombstones and take a stroll around the park which looks absolutely lovely during the spring season.
How to Reach Japanese Cemetery Park
Take the bus and get down at Aft Serangoon Nth Ave 1. From here, the park is a 5-minute walk.
    ➡️ East Coast Park
If you love beaches, then do check out the East Coast Park and Pier, where you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise in the morning.
Entry to this beach park is free, and one can indulge in many activities here, such as jogging, sand castling, picnicking, and more.
➡️ Marine Parade Central Market and Food Center
Hawker centers are a unique aspect of Singaporean culture. Located all over the island, these time-tested institutions serve as important places for community bonding.
How to ECP from the Japanese Cemetery Park to
Take the bus from Aft Phillips Ave to Opp Parkway Parade. Walk for 4-5 minutes to reach the Hawker Center. From here, ECP is another 5 minutes away.
    ➡️ National Botanical Garden
Touted at the UNESCO Heritage Site, Singapore Botanic Gardens is the country's only tropical garden where you can enter free of cost.
These gardens are 150 years old and are home to a diverse range of Floral and fauna. Take a stroll through these gardens to spend some time amidst nature.
➡️ Fullerton Hotel and Merlion Park
Singapore's Merlion statue, which is half-lion and half-fish, is the official mascot of the country. You can choose to make a game of hunting down all the 7 Merlion statues or just head to Merlion Park opposite Marina Bay Sands.
Here, you can take photos in front of the statue, enjoy meals at one of the outdoor restaurants, or simply enjoy a walk around.
    ➡️ Garden Rhapsody
Did you know that you can catch the Light and Sound Show at Supertree Grove every night? Yes, that's correct!
And it's free of cost! The show is conducted twice in the evening: at 7.45 and 8.45 PM. The elaborate performance of the music with lighting makes it a sight to behold.
During my 2-week visit, I easily watched this show 4-5 times, and it left me In awe every time!
