Easy. Every Time he mentions a song people realize the song is great and come watch, then youtube thinks this song is the best in the OST and recommends it.
When I first reached Indol, it reminds me of the Columbia city from Bioshock Infinite. In fact, these 2 cities are having quite some similarities and ended up with same fate, destruction.

It reallly isn't. The walks aren't even that long, some people's attention spans are just THAT bad... 💀💀💀 And if they DO feel THAT long, then you have this heavenly music to accompany you along the way, which should be more than enough to keep you focused, interested, etc.
@@lemmyxpro Yes, the walks aren't that long. It's just that you have to do it so many times. Also, the whole point of my comment was that it isn't that bad because of the music.
The moment I arrive to Indol was: wow so beautiful. Then when I saw Amalthus, and basically everyone in Indol giving in silver plating the main party objectives, it was "there's something REALLY wrong with this place", honestly any universe where exist an EXTREMELY powerful religious influenced nation that saids that only wants to help the main characters, it's never a good sign.
at the time I was like:"yeah, ok, why tf should they treat us like this" and then amalthus goes with:"ye, so I basically created malos and it's my fault if everyone died, yup, sorry, can you fix that since I can't?", so I believed that the bad stuff made by the pope in this game would stop at that, AND YET
I don't get why you felt the need to add "religious influenced". Any large society which wants to support a small group out of "goodness of their heart" is and will be fishy and there will almost always be strings attached. In XC2 alone we see it happen plenty. Every single power in that world wants to claim Aegis for their own reasons, to destroy or control it. Uraya, Mor Ardain, Tantal, Praetorium. Each wants that and at first acts hospitable or doesn't try to hide their intentions. So, yeah, your prejudices are showing.
This game frustrated me to no end, and although I did find it a fun game, I was just ready to give it up and play something else entirely. This song singlehandedly saved this game for me. To just hear this gorgeous angelic chorus singing amidst everything was just fucking beautiful. I can now say I've enjoyed this game to it's (near) completion, and I have this song to thank for that.

I dunno what it is, but I just freaking LOVE Choir music like this. And it just fits the aesthetic of Indol so perfectly as well. Pretty sure this was one of the pieces Matsuda composed, it definitely sounds like his work - reminds me a little of Shevat. Man F SQEX for being dicks about the Xenogears IP. Not that I haven't adored Xenoblade, but I really wish Takahashi could be allowed to finish his grand vision.
Indol gets even more sadder when you realize that the refugees are . . . (Spoilers for Xeno 2 and Torna) there for Amalthus because he likes to see humanity in that state.
"We're the chosen ones from up above the holy sky" Before I played Xenoblade (first XC2 then XC1 and then again XC2) I din't believed in something like "God", but after play this amazing masterpieces I started to believe in something like God; watching and listening to Klaus as the Architect talking about how he banished and then created live in Alrest was the catalyst to believe in that. You just realize that maybe someone just created us in base of an experiment just to deny the creation he made…
I'm pretty sure the whole message of xc2+1 is to deny the existence of a 'god' or higher power But I guess in works as a whole the intended interpretation does not matter, only that of the one interpreting.
Although walking back and forth to each objective in this area may have been tiresome, this song made me okay with it, it's just so atmospherically put together to the point where it didn't bother me.
The music is great and all, but the second I walked in there I was on edge. It’s all too white, too clean and too religious. The chanting makes it ominous. I had the same feeling when I first entered Alcamoth. I haven’t finished XC2 yet, so I’m curious to see if my hunch is proven correct (don’t spoil it pls lol) Edit: I was right.
That's because they actually took the time to hire an native-English-speaking choir. But personally I'm surprised that they didn't "keep it local" (and thus, cheaper) by composing the vocal songs in Japanese and hire native-Japanese-speaking choirs/singers instead.

And if they DO feel THAT long, then you have this heavenly music to accompany you along the way, which should be more than enough to keep you focused, interested, etc.
The Priest usually the bad guy in video games, this game didn’t even try hiding it and I liked that
at the time I was like:"yeah, ok, why tf should they treat us like this" and then amalthus goes with:"ye, so I basically created malos and it's my fault if everyone died, yup, sorry, can you fix that since I can't?", so I believed that the bad stuff made by the pope in this game would stop at that, AND YET
So, yeah, your prejudices are showing.
this song is so underrated! one of my favorites
@@notkamui9749 a lot of the combat felt very awkward for me as I was new to the play style, and I also didn't really understand a lot of the tutorials so I didn't understand how to perform the combos and elemental orb breaks. I had to read a comment somewhere that explained it perfectly, but the game I felt overcomplicated it a bit.
Plus the environment can be weird to fight in. Sometimes you'll get gravitated to little holes that kill you. It's a breathtaking game, just some things that early on frustrated me.
I do understand what you mean! I’ve had this game since it first came out in 2017 and I’m only trying to finish it now because the first one is 11 days away. I do love this game but it got a bit annoying after awhile trying to figure out the affinity charts and how to unlock stuff
@@folktheologytransition3756 Its a great game but I kind of hope you've played the original xenoblade before beating this one...

implying it doesnt
@@ih1763no, no. It was implied that it isn't amazing
@@jackfitzpatrick4059 no, it was implied that it would sound amazing in latin. It can sound amazing in both languages.

Can't wait to sing this in my church
OMG I love this game
Best song in the game
I absolutely love the "awful good" trope, and JRPGs, especially Xeno JRPGs, excel at this and at the challenge the mother church vibe! The first time I got to Indol I basked in it.

Mikhail: I'm about to do what's called a "pro gamer move".
This got me Enya vibes
what type of music even is this beauty ?
Can’t help but think it’s Mellicia and the choir singing this.😄
I finished that side quest today coincidentally.
Someone had a bro version of this song. Yet, that video has been deleted since. That was also a true work of art.
DONT READ THE REST OF THIS COMMENT IF YOU HAVENT FINISHED THE GAME
Im sad i cant go to Indol anymore and hear this masterpiece in game
Same... 😔
It's weird. This song sounds almost…mournful, somehow, at least to me. Which is actually fitting, considering that someone native to this place dies.
Indol gets even more sadder when you realize that the refugees are . . .
(Spoilers for Xeno 2 and Torna)
there for Amalthus because he likes to see humanity in that state.
going to vatican city with this BGM is so fitting...
and also palestine
"We're the chosen ones from up above the holy sky"
Before I played Xenoblade (first XC2 then XC1 and then again XC2) I din't believed in something like "God", but after play this amazing masterpieces I started to believe in something like God; watching and listening to Klaus as the Architect talking about how he banished and then created live in Alrest was the catalyst to believe in that. You just realize that maybe someone just created us in base of an experiment just to deny the creation he made…
I'm pretty sure the whole message of xc2+1 is to deny the existence of a 'god' or higher power
But I guess in works as a whole the intended interpretation does not matter, only that of the one interpreting.

Nobody gives this game enough credit in the music

Smash fans when they don’t get what they want.
I haven’t finished XC2 yet, so I’m curious to see if my hunch is proven correct (don’t spoil it pls lol)
Edit: I was right.
sounds weird without the sound of ur footsteps as u walk around
I think anuna is singing this song.
Yep
I'm do glad they didn't Engrish this. It actually makes sense
That's because they actually took the time to hire an native-English-speaking choir. But personally I'm surprised that they didn't "keep it local" (and thus, cheaper) by composing the vocal songs in Japanese and hire native-Japanese-speaking choirs/singers instead.
@@Mazryonh One of the composers was a long-time fan of the ensemble and their style and it happened that they were travelling to Japan anyway. Apparently the lyrics were written by the game's director but they might have been tidied up by Anúna
@@jackbutler6606 That explains it. So it was convenient that Anuna was heading to Japan at the time the game was developed. It would have been more difficult had they still been in Ireland and have to work with Yasunori Mitsuda remotely.
