"Let's listen to that again"
Yeah that's been the whole internet for the last 3 weeks.
The way he said let’s listen to that again had me laughing so hard for some reason
I cans ee why!
This song hands down plunged me into deathcore.
I've probably heard this song 100 times now, roughly
@@ogmaliceofaziriaandcracktr210 I really want a full album with this dude already. I think I've listened to this for like 4 hours.
My favorite thing about metal is that we all have a universal reaction of DISGUST when we love something
Lmao right! The more disgusted the facial expressions are the better the song is.
Stank face is universal
Yes, it's a quality seal, especially in extreme metal!😆
Stank face is the best compliment any musician can get
Lol I was just saying the same exact thing to my boss. He asked why I'm always saying stuff is disgusting or filthy, "because I'm a metal head dude. When we love something, we talk about putrid it is". Lol cheers, and stay in the pit!
“That’s disgusting, and it kinda makes me feel a little nauseous, and I kinda fucking love it.” LMAO
The joys of metal
100%! I was talking about a song (can't remember which, may have been this one even) with someone the other day and used very similar phrasing, and they could immediately relate. It was amazing! 🤣
Metal in a nutshell
His face when Will did the pig snorting... it was like a kid when his favorite cartoon show comes on.
That is an insanely specific and accurate comparison!
The snorts reminded me a lot of “Unholy Gravebirth” by Infant Annihilator, which is always a good thing.
@@tevildo9383 The intro to that song is insane

@@KardavoxAcademy so perfect 😂😂😂
Literally scrolled to your comment as he said it ahaha
Absolutely love the hog squeal like sound...not sure what to call it but I love it 🤣🤘💀🤘
It's awesome because Will Ramos did say that he was _"channeling the spirit essence of Dickie Allen"_ when he improvised those insane pig squeals near the end. According to him it was all a one-take where the band said do something crazy here, and that was the result. Didn't disappoint.
“Baby yaga the heaviest song of the year”
Lona shore: hold my blood of the Innocent.
baba yaga is heavier. to the hell fire is just infinitely more brutal. I personally find a big difference between the two.

Am I the only weirdo that gets emotional when I hear amazing music? Not goosebumps, I mean that it make my eyes rain. Lorna Shore delivers these emotions fairly consistently.
Not at all. Very seldom is it deathcore that does it for me. It's usually in the realm of classical/orchestral music or even drum corps shows. It hits extra hard when visuals match up with the music too
I'm the same way. A few old Veil of Maya breakdowns still get me like that. Mark the Lines, Codex, and Unbreakable all give me that lump in my throat when the breakdown starts.
Other people get "chills" when they hear amazing music. We get lumps in our throats, our eyes welling with tears, along with a huge grin across our faces... I wouldn't have it any other way. Such an awesome feeling
Guilty here. Sometimes I feel kinda manic while listening to music. Today while hearing a song of Lorna Shores I produced tears and felt a gorilla in my chest. I just wanted to scream so bad, but was out in the open so obviously couldn't. I think the tears were kinda the result of the repression of the energy of the missed emotion of releasing the scream, because I definitely wasn't sad. Neither angry, kinda ecstatic! Music is truly magic.
Of course that's normal. Music has been moving people to tears since the dawn of man. It may be less typical to have that reaction to deathcore, but this band also includes a lot of melancholy melody and even symphony in their music, so they are pretty unique in the genre.
Song: arrives in hell
Mark: oh that's delightful
This had me crying lmao
Will said in an interview that they did that outro part in one take after it just came to him. Absolutely unreal.
Yup, from Metal Injection.
25:50 He looks like a proud papa watching his kiddo win the big game.
Lol
This is gonna be fun
I love seeing a reactor excited about another channels reactions.
Under all that brutal sound this is actually a very melodic, classical sounding song, almost operatic I'd say.
As we now know, Lorna Shore has definitely leaned into that, with mostly great results.
The slide whistle when he takes the cushion off his chair fucking killed me. Whoever did the edit on that you're a legend.
The slide whistle is an underrated sound, glad you dug it!
Will posted himself actually doing a one cut vocal take on this song.
And honestly it’s so damn close to the studio one it’s insane. At first glance when I saw the gauges and hair I was like here we go another deathcore crap song recommended by UA-cam.
And this turned into my favorite song of the year if not the last few years.
Haven’t gotten this amped since hammer down the nails by vital remains.
that's exactly why you don't judge a book by its cover. or i guess a song by the thumbnail lmfao
Coincidence that this video has a ton of flame units in it and you're premiering it on the 4th of July? 😂 Dude, cannot WAIT for your breakdown on this.
yes mannn, we cannot too!
schecter?
When he goes 'oh I thought we were at the outro but we have a minute left' brought a huge smile to my face knowing what was coming
Those last 45 seconds, holy fuck
Omg, what is coming...
Honestly, I hate when he shies away from pausing the video we’re all here to hear your take on the vocals I’m pretty sure we’ve all heard the song lol. Seriously tho I want him to go into as much detail as he can
I saw it was a 40min video and was relieved.
I actually really appreciate this - because in reality I would find making reaction videos in their normal form pretty boring. Nothing against them, I just get hyped and want to share what I hear! Thanks for the kind words!
Same
YES! pause pause pause
I was thinking this the whole time. I'm watching a video of you teaching and explaining vocals. Pause and explain the vocals. Your opinion and thoughts matter. If I wanted to listen to the song, I'd go listen to the song
How is no one talking about the fact that he nailed the solo pig part ? 32:20 That was nasty !
Thats the only thing i xan do properly.. hahhahahah
Seriously 😮
“Let’s listen to that again” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I gotta admit I like this "theatrical" deathcore, Ramos, Alex Terrible, Travis Ryan, they are definitely making vocals interesting. This song the way it's mixed and it sounds like they're in a big room with the echo definitely gives this song some real darkness.
It's interesting to see this perspective as the mixing is what makes me dislike the song. It's always interesting to see how subjective music really is and how stuff I'm not fond of can make it more enjoyable for someone else.
Lorna Shore and Slaughter to Prevail are both unique in their way. Lorna is quite symphonic, like mixing deathcore with Epica or something, and Slaughter are basically nu deathcore (the nu metal influence is obvious, especially Iowa-era Slipknot). Cattle Decapitation I really don't like, for reasons other than the music itself, but Ryan is an S+ tier vocalist, for sure.
I love how the second time he listens to the ending breakdown you can see Mark fighting back the urge to fight the room
I sat here thinking "No way am I going to watch a 40 minute reaction."

Will Ramos is putting cherries on cherries that are already on a cherry. There seems to be no limit for him.
This song is a howto introduce a new vocalist to a band.
“Only have to hold a scream for max 8 seconds”
Ryan Kirby: hold my beer
chester bennington: hold my 40
@@l8rn3rds chester is good singer, but his screams bad
@@slaughterhouse651 lol
@@slaughterhouse651 well he wasnt a deathcore vocalist, the point is that he held a 17 second scream which alex terrible couldnt even hold when he covered the song. talking about length here not quality
@@l8rn3rds Alex didn't make a scream, he used tunnel throat and no one can hold tunnel throat for 17 secs. I can hold my scream for 37 secs (my vocals are cringe, so I don't wanna show them). I think that everyone can hold scream for 17 secs, so Chester is not that good. and sorry if I get it wrong my English language skills are terrible 😅
5:56 THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING TRAVIS RYAN! He was the originator of the vocal style. Obviously Dickie did it and took it a step further, but people seem to forget where it comes from, or not know at all.
Cattle decap is such a good band too 😌
@@damiennoftsier9779 Hell yeah. Cattle rules.
your channel is definitely in the top tier of reaction channels. I love your channel mainly because you actually have insightful shit to say about the music, and you have the chops to back up what you're talking about. But then you also have moments like your reaction to that final breakdown, which is absolutely perfect. Having heard the song before and knowing what to expect, and watching you go through that journey the first time, as each stage of the insanity unfolds, that's why reaction videos exist in the first place. You absolutely nailed it.
Thanks so much for the thoughtful comment, Daniel! I couldn't do it without all of you viewers!

Everybody of course talks a lot about the nasal sound halfway through the breakdown, but what gets me everytime is the last scream. There's just something about it and it gives me goosebumbs every single time. I would love it if you can get into the final breakdown in detail and talk about that specific moment
Agree 100 fucking percent lol. Recorded that last scream and made it my ringtone 😂
Same - there is this crazy intensity about it. Like a war cry lol
It’s fuckin primal. That and the high at 29:31
The last roar where the song ends? Me too, I love that kind of primal Orc/Uruk warscream.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who felt this way! Lol I listen to the whole thing just for that final growl/yell. Like you said there’s just something about it that sets it apart from the others
32:02 This is so crazy because I always assumed this particular vocal sound was only achieved by multiple layering of vocals, I didn't realise that you could create that sound raw just like that, insane
As a Metal Vocalist myself for over 25 years now I can’t say how much I appreciate and enjoy the explanations and vocal theory. Thanks for entertaining and educational 40 minutes.
