    You should try some big bass jigs and jig em up and down off the bottom in the deeper water. That's where is your big ones will be.

    50 degree water...I wish!! Come over to the north east the boat will get a hole gouged in it from the ice! But you haven't fish cold till the water is below 40 and the air is even colder.

    Those black spots are called hyperpigmentated melanosis, It's kind of like skin cancer on fish

    Black spots are hyperpigmented melanosis. Aka freckels
    Nothing to do with rocks.
