What a Lovely Family hope your enjoying your time in the Cotswolds .I worked in that Area Several years ago. The people were very Friendly. It is very beautiful. I'm from Derbyshire which also a A Beautiful County.
Nicely edited video, overcast shadow-free sky's show colours well, @ 6:35 that is a good tip about researching road signs for first time American drivers, like many countries Britain uses the pictogram style of road sign, interesting that the sign ‘Queues possible’ brought your attention, and ‘Way Out’ same idea as the underground, at least you were a good navigator and helped the driver, makes the ride a family quiz as well.
Yes, we enjoyed researching the signs as we explored. We learned 'Way Out' early on in the trip, and now that we're back in the US the kids often point to an exit sign and say, "Look, Way Out!"

Sudeley looks quite lovely! We also wanted to hit up Blenheim Palace, but didn't get a chance to swing by. We will have to return. Oh, what a DREAM it must be living in such a beautiful place! What part of the Cotswolds do you live in?
Such a nice vlog. Very professional and watchable. Those kids are such a credit to you. They don’t stop laughing, smiling and enjoying themselves, which is as it should be. Looking forward to the next vid.
Thank you. That means a lot, because it takes a lot of work to put together. And thank you for your compliment. We all had our moments on the trip, but all in all, the kids did really well. Appreciate you being with us!
Nice video, I live about an hour from Dalesford, it is lovely but very expensive. There are plenty of other farm shops around which are more reasonable. Looks like you had a good time.
You are blessed with such great kids. So we'll behaved and yet enjoying the trips it appears. Also great to see you getting out of London and hiring a car ... takes some skill to drive on our roads
Thank you! They had their moments here and there, but they did well and were distracted by all that there is to do in England. And yes, it does take skill... that's why I told Scott he's the designated driver. 🤣🤣 Thanks for being here!
Great video. My daughter lives in the Cotswolds so I know it well but you showed me places I'd never visited so I appreciate that. Driving our narrow roads is challenging enough but the pronunciation of place names defies all logic. Warwick = worick😊
I tried to do my research, but unfortunately didn't know better when actually filming. Tried to pronounce the "Worick" during the narration, but had a hard time with that. 🤣🤣
Lovely video. Shame about the weather. Over here we call the 'lady bugs', lady birds and they are valued by gardeners because they eat all the green fly, which torment the flowers and brassica. I hope that you have a great holiday with better weather. I'll try to keep track of your vlogs. Cheers ! Sheffield South Yorkshire
Thank you so much! What a fun fact - I just told the kids about the lady birds… they might adopt the new name, as they love catching (gently) lady birds! 😉🐞 And please subscribe so you don’t have to keep track - it will notify you of our next video through England. Thanks for being here. We appreciate you!
Well done with the pronunciations. Warwick needs a little practice, but you got Bibury right. So many Americans say it Bib-bury instead of Bi-bury. Your children are a credit, well-behaved but still enjoying themselves

@@palmsandpalaces I live in South Devon. It is truly stunning here - wonderful coastline and we also have Dartmoor National Park which is open moorland with wildlife, tors, and historical villages. I'd also thoroughly recommend Cornwall which is the next county across for more breathtaking countryside, Arthurian legend, and it being the home of the Cornish pasty. Plus try scones there with jam and cream :) If you watch the series "Poldark" it can give you some nice historical context of Cornwall's mining past, despite being a fictional drama
You’re right about Warwick Castle being like a theme park. It’s owned by Merlin Entertainment who have ruined it imo. The castle structure is actually superb.
Bibury and Castle Combe have had real issues with visitors this last 2 years, people looking g in windows, blocking doorways, even going into the gardens, climbing over garden walls and tryingdoors.
"Stow-in-the-Wold, where the wind blows cold". Not so many miles from where I live. Daylesford is run by Carole Bamford, Baroness Bamford who is the wife of Anthony Bamford, Baron Bamford chair of the J.C. Bamford Excavators Limited (JCB), a huge international manufacturer of construction equipment. So this is a side-line in the family business, along with owning up-market hotels and pubs, including one in the town I live in. I know somebody who sells honey to Daylesford. I should say you don't go to any of those establishments expecting things to be cheap...
This is fascinating! Yes, it certainly is a premier establishment and the prices reflect that, but oh is Daylesford dreamy! I wanted to take everything with me, but Scott asked me to practice some self control….
I had a close encounter with a drop dead gorgeous Dutch lady last summer. Unfortunately, it was in the form of her coming round a roundabout the wrong way. On reflection, and seeing as we missed each other, it was worth it.
We are aiming to get another one out by next week. If you’re subscribed, you’ll be notified when we post another. Thanks for hanging in there!! We appreciate you!
Please be aware that taking photos in front of residential doorways is not cool in the Cotswolds, just like I imagine it wouldn’t be in front of a front door in the US. It would be great if you didn’t advertise such to your followers. I once had someone poke their head through my window while I was eating to tell me my kitchen was ‘very authentic’! It’s making people sell up to those kinds looking to rent and cater. The real beauty of the Cotswolds is (or was) the vibrant village communities, which your video failed to even approach. Postcard tourism is not what we need here, frankly. It’s neither healthy nor sustainable, just benefitting the very few, leaving dead theme parks in its wake.
