Epic Mickey was my introduction to The Mad Doctor and of course Oswald too. I thought I made sense to make the secondary and primary villain of Epic Mickey 1 and 2 to be the villain from one of the most terrifying and darkest Mickey cartoon.

This cartoon scared me when I was ten. I remember watching it on Disney Channel's "The Ink And Paint Club" at 5:00 A.M. I had the habit of waking up SUPER early on school days in order to watch cartoons on Disney Channel and Cartoon Network (Plus, "Sailor Moon" and "Poke'mon"). And, In the dark, of course. The scene that forever ingrained itself in my young mind was the part where Doctor XXX sings about cutting off Pluto's head and grafting it onto the chicken's body. 😣 It was that scene (Plus the fact that I am a geek for all things animated!😅) that lead me to rediscovering this classic as an adult.
Remember when Disney traded a real life human being to get the rights for Oswald back? And how they then used him like, 2 times notably, and a handful of cameos, and then nothing else with him? It's just absolutely hilarious they traded an actual guy for a cartoon rabbit it a sense, even if it was a rare time Disney did such a situation ethically withiut actual issue. The events likely have some grounds, but they would play loose in how much of it happened and most wouldn't be worth adressing, as the Mickey Mouse Canon Lore isn't exactly a common talking point.
In Mickey Mouse canon, all the characters are actors who work for Disney. It's a lot like the movie Roger Rabbit, although that's probably because they made that movie. Also, Walt Disney himself said that Mickey and Minnie the actors were married, and that they only played characters who weren't. How does all this fit into Epic Mickey lore? IDK, maybe the actor was mad (of course he is, he's the _Mad_ Doctor) okay, maybe he got _angry_ that he was never a popular character, and he only got to appear once. So he went postal?

I’m actually a big Mickey fan I got a couple plushies. Mostly the 1930 versions.
