Waiting for the glitter bomb… 😂 it would be awful, but hilarious. Honestly, I am terrified of spiders, horribly awfully and unreasonably terrified of them. For some reason I love watching your videos and I think they actually help me become less fearful of them. I appreciate their beauty, and their role in ecosystems, respect and am fascinated by their venom, eyes, webbing… I’m just absolutely completely afraid of them, even the ones that are practically harmless. So thank you for these videos!

Hello Dave I am a life long arachnophobe even the smallest spider gets me screaming for the wife but after discovering your channel I have become addicted don’t get me wrong I’d still run a mile if one run across my floor but watching your handling of these spiders and obvious love for this hobby is brilliant

I now cohabitate with four different spiders in my work shed. Two funnel type, and two orb weavers. They live in my window and are such a joy to look at and watch grow. 💜

Another fantastic video! The surprise Avic was absolutely brilliant, I didn't pay much attention to the thumbnail so it really had me by surprise and laughing out loud. You could give it a name and make it a sort of channel mascot.

Lovely video. Im lucky enough to live about 10 minutes from The Bug Hut and The Reptile Hut. Both James and Nat are amazing owners and they always have some awesome specimens available. Recently picked up a gorgeous Hapalopus Columbia large from them. Its worth the trip Dave for sure.

Great video dave, I saw that male when I was in the shop he had just molted and matured I would have been tempted myself if I had a mature female, I'm glad he's gone to a good home 😊 also the names of the owners of the bug/reptile hut are James and Natalie......I'll be back there Saturday picking something special up 😉

Although my relationship with spiders is one of admiration, I can't say that my friendship is unaffected by their habit of biting me in the night. I'm also fairly sure I will never keep a spider as a pet.

Alright Dave, here's what you do...you get a nice button up smock that you can brand with the beastie room logo. Maybe have it some kind of High-Visibility, safety vest, that you can put on before every video that has pockets to hold all your tools, and then the spider can clip onto your collar with the mic. You need some kind of custom upside-down-outside-pockets on the shirt that will attract any runaway beasties so as to make it easier to catch them. Like the episode where the one little sling got away and . . . well, I don't need to remind you, lol. If you know you know. These are all just ideas from a long day and few pints....

Just a thought, I wonder if, when you find yourself with a spider stuck in tape adhesive or some similar situation requiring intricate handling, if you put the container with stuck spider in the refrigerator for a while, until the animal goes torpid? I know this works very well with frogs and toads,; they practically go into hibernation.....
That might give you enough time to right the problem without stressing the animal....
Better to just remove the problem in the first place 👍
The only way I can think of attaching the spider to the lapel is to get two magnets glue one to the spider and the other one underneath the shirt although it might cause some interference I'm not entirely sure.

You've talked me into Dave. My next T. is Ephebopus murinus. I'm gonna try and do it before Halloween. Beautiful spider. I caught up a Wolf spider in my basement that is bigger than a half dollar. Put her in a cricket keeper with a water bowl and she drank for 30 min. This morning { served her a small cricket which she jumped on as soon as it hit the cork bark she was basking on. Again, thanks for all the information and enthusiasm...P.s tell Bethany she is missed...all the way from across the pond.

Great video! Love me a Dave`s Little Beasties Unboxing! You got some cool species in these boxes. I had a good laugh, though not quite as loud as you i will admit that when you opened the ``joke box``. That Blondi has a long way to go, some serious growing for that lil guy. Hopefully that mature male performs well in pairing, looking forward to that video!
Now that the video comments are out of the way, i would like to propose and idea to you Dave, and hear me out. So i know you`re a very busy guy and you`re probably in the process of setting up a TikTok to bring down that little prick (believe me Dave, there are far worse things that i would like to call him but i won`t, not here, in my head however is a different story) but i wanted to present the idea of you setting up a Discord, now again Dave, hear me out, it would be a good place for fans to hang out and just chat about whatever and they could message the one, the only, Dave Fisher. I`m part of several Discord servers myself and there is very rarely any drama but you can have moderators or mods to keep that kind of thing under control. I just thought that it would be a fun place for Beastie Fana to gather and talk about whatever. With how long i`ve been on Discord and as many servers as i`m part of, i can`t believe i didn`t present the idea to you before. All this being said, i don`t know how difficult it is to create, a server but you can always reach out to someone for help.
I had written this comment this morning at around 2AM after watching the video but never pressed comment i guess, had to rewrite the whole thing, oh well.
