    A common mistake I’m seeing people do is trying to cap all 3 zones in stronghold, as opposed to locking down 2 zones. Sometimes you have to play ring-around-a-rosey but for the most part if you’re not a well coordinated team you can find yourself holding none of the zones bc everyone was spread out and lost their gunfights. Take 2 zones (preferably A-B or B-C) and just play as defensive as possible

    • @rdh_gaming
      @rdh_gaming 3 роки тому +3

      I've been in so many match that feels like people forgot zone b even exist, one time a person from opposing would destroy everyone in my team but none of their teammate go to zone b so I'm just chillin' in zone b until the score reached

    • @thesentry5710
      @thesentry5710 3 роки тому +7

      the problem with just doing that is that if you defend 2 zones all it takes is the enemy team to coordinate to push ONE point and you're gonna lose that fight, and when they cap that point they'll immediately start scorng and you're not gonna score anything. But if you pushed at the start, with point A, and then win B, then you probably already killed a few of their team and outnumber them, they don't have enough people then to even hope to defend point C, all it takes is one dude to cap it, no need to push so hard for it, and if you have all 3 points the enemy now needs to cap TWO points to start scoring, and you'll start to score faster, it's true that sometimes it makes sense to just defend 2 points, but if you have momentum it really isn't a smart idea to interrupt yourself and let them have one point and then give them a chance to coordinate, use that 10 second respawn window do your advantage, that's 10 seconds the enemy is outnumbered, and even more important: 10 seconds that are wasted by just being defensive

    • @LunaBirbosa
      @LunaBirbosa 3 роки тому +3

      @@thesentry5710 nah as long as you cap 2 points and hard defend B theyll never have 2 points long enough to catch up to your score. B is the key because it usually has quick access to both points. Sure you can go for all 3 but never leave B uncontested.

    • @APBT3chnoM0nkey
      @APBT3chnoM0nkey 3 роки тому +1

      YES, FINALLY SOMEONE SAYS IT. This js so annoying. I get so many teamfights on the map with the pillars where the focus rifle is, and they always freaking cap the point at the pillars. It's out of the way and gives you no control over other points. As soon as i tell my team to do this the points absolutely skyrocket.

    I'd add not tagging enemies to this list. It's especially good in CTF. It's such a helpful and underused tool to let your team know where they are and how many. Even if you lose that fight, your teammates can clean up the damaged enemies, or they can reposition for better plays

      I love it on both sides. Sneaking up on people in a fight and just executing them is awesome, but not being able to sprint kind of balances how much stronger it is from a sound and visual perspective than it use to be. But also noticing an invis person right before you die is so terrifying and panic inducing it’s just an awesome mechanic. Plus when I occasionally do spot them at medium-close distance and start shooting them you can almost see that they are visibly shocked and unprepared to have a gunfight which is really rewarding and you feel like one perceptive mother fucker

      the other is the usage of the AR plus Sidearm/BR. The AR is better suited for chase scenarios where you need to be quick and accurate. The spray and consistency is perfect for targets that moves away from you, sporadically, or around cover. Sidearm and the BR are best when the enemy is in an open space, below you, or approaching you. When being chased and approaching a turn, consider throwing a nade directly at a wall infront of you. the nade will bounce behind you but with a noticable drop in trajectory. it will more or less turn the entire corner into a blast zone and you can still avoid getting hit.

    Ive seen them run passed our flag instead of resetting it, they dont bodyguard the carriers,and they dont group when the enemy has our flag ,they're just out across the other end of the map doing whatever it is while 3 people are up my ass lol
    Ive had so many times where i would lose the flag 2 feet at our base and no one was with me to recover it;

    A problem I have is thinking that I should just run and gun until I die but make sure I at least disable the enemy's shield before I go.
    I should really start thinking of living to fight another day...
    I notice when my shields go down, but I ignore it and either keep shooting at the enemy I front of me or get taken out by another enemy that was close by.
    I need to change the way I think of playing, I need to take cover, I need to pay attention to my shields, I need to run away whenever my shields are down so I can live to fight another day, I need to take higher ground, I need to be like a real soldier.
    In the military there's a thing called Individual Movement Techniques or IMT's, part of it talks about concealment and crawling to new cover when there's numerous places that could conceal you or running to new cover when there's too much open space between where you're currently concealed and where your next cover is.
    I feel like I should apply it to the game...
    I should look at each map and take note of places that conceal me, take note of how many places there are, how close they are and whether or not I may need to sprint to the next location...

    one of the biggest mistakes i made, especially in h5 was always adsing and after i figured out how to hipfire weapons well, i *CLAPPED* people. and another for me is not having a proper melee button. on xbox, on infinite, instead of pressing right stick, i mapped it to RB, since i have one of those controllers with mappable paddle buttons near the grips and i also have the left and right bumpers mapped to these left and right paddle buttons respectively.
    and since i have the melee attached to RB, i can press LB for grenades, and since these buttons are next to the grips, i can keep my middle fingers on these buttons all the time, my palms on the grips, thumbs on t-sticks, and fingers on triggers when needed, allowing me to get a positive KD almost every game, even when we are losing, and having an EXTREMELY comfortable grip on the controller.
    sorry for flexing if so, but if you have a controller like this, *MAP THE BUMPERS TO THOSE BUTTONS.* i promise you won’t regret it.

    Off to a rocky start.
    #1 - Incorrect...but also correct. Let's explain.
    Positioning in Halo Infinite (not Halo 3...this is NOT HALO 3!) is determined by what control you have on the map. Your map presence is VERY important, along with teamwork. If you're chasing the kill "in the open", that's a bad move. However, the important aspect here is the decision being made at this time. If the kill in the open is the final dead, which could create a push to into your base, say for an objective (CTF or Oddball), then you're going to need to get that player accounted for. Leaving a player who was weak or 1-shot go could net you a complete loss for your overall team. It's important to obtain that final kill in as smart of a way as possible.
    - Scenario - say you're playing Boheemoth and the final player is on their tower, you chase to kill him and you now have good power positioning to get the spawners on their flag low shield for your teammate who is flanking down bottom mid to finish off...but you DON'T want to give up that position. The player you were shooting runs off toward the rocks of their base. You can back up to the edge of the map, maintaining the 'rocks in the way' advantage from the spawners whilst getting the person who was running away. "Chasing" isn't required, but the important part here is the decision at play. There's multiple ways to tackle this issue and some will be better than others. Being aware of the spawners and the enemy team locations, along with what you influence (spawn locations are influenced by location, shots fired or grenades thrown, along with teammate positioning) then you're in good hands.
    Except if you "don't" chase to kill that player 1-shot and they get away, that allows for a potential 4v4 battle with you being what you think is a good position, but may be easily shot from another position...which that person will go straight to and charge at you from.
    Response to #1 - "You could get 2v1, 3v1, and just die". This is where situation comes into place. Yes and no. You can if the ENTIRE enemy team is up and looking to help the player low shields. But the important aspect is simply that if you already have a good position, your team is probably in control...so they wouldn't get you in a 2v1 unless YOU go into a bad position to kill the player. So the important take away isn't to "not" chase the kill, it's to do so while playing smart. Be aware of the surrounding teammates, be aware of where spawners may be or where you can be attacked. And attempt to predict the path the enemy may take to catch them at the other side of it. In some cases, some people just hide behind a wall, so my instinct is typically to grenade further past the enemy and insta (that's the first grenade thrown causing the second grenade to go off) the player attempting to flee.
    - Also being in an open space is going to be required at times. Not every map has 'natural cover' in every given scenario. The important aspect is to know where on the map you could be getting peaked from (the angles) and attempt to stay out of the peak spots for where the enemy is roughly at. You can utilize this technique as well to traverse faster on the map, WHICH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT of this game. Map presence & damage = key.
    You partially note this @ 1:39, however this is the most important part. To stray people from pushing will cause them to be collapsed on.
    This is incorrect still, however. You NEED to leave the space you're covered or holding to get the kill. There's no way around that. "Holding" the space isn't as important in Halo Infinite as it is in something like Halo 3, where travel distance took 'forever'. Traversal around the map is quick in this game, and getting to enemies & teammates is equally as quick. "Holding" will cause collapse, and it's NEVER a good idea in Halo titles...unless it's Halo 3. Halo 3 is the only title where this makes much of a difference. Halo 2 to some extent, but Halo 2 is closer to how Infinite is, where it rewards aggression and strategic routes instead of holding/camping.
    -- Bonus tip regarding high ground. Yes, High ground is important, however that's not as important in a title like Halo Infinite as it is, again, in previous Halo titles. High ground is important due to easier access to influence spawns, NOT to avoid being shot at. If you can push them to spawn on the bottom or lower half, then it makes for engagements easier since you can use the natural cover of the ledge to peak shoot.

      When the red lighting appears on enemy it means there armor is close to breaking. There's an audio queue and the shield break when they are fleshed. Guns are high flesh damage, plasma is high shield damage, brute guns are a mix but increase melee damage (I believe), electric weapons sustain damage so enemy can't regain shield or health after enough shots.

    Something I don’t understand and don’t even know is my fault is that sometimes my aim is buttery-smooth and I’ll get a Perfect, or not whiff any shots, when other times, my aim completely potatoes and I miss most my shots, then die. It really only happens with a few weapons like the Commando and Sidekick. For some reason, the aim, or my aim just feels so inconsistent. Is there something I’m doing wrong or is it just the game?
