23:00 The Hotlines are entertaining to watch, even the ones you've already seen as shimmers in the air. They are quite atmospheric and flesh out a lot of Trench's backstory and history of the Oldest House..
"Why not use email?" Because the Oldest House has a history of taking objects and technology, like the Rubber Ducky, and turning them into Altered Items.
Edit - Threshold Kids FTW!!! Control is all about Archetypes - a single example that becomes the manifestation/representation of an idea. The Oceanview is the representation of a place of Transition - a place you pass through on your way to somewhere else. That's why it has doors to many other places. It appears as whatever the user expects. It's the Oceanview Motel here because that's what the Agents had experience with, and what they described to other Agents. For Alan/Zane in Alan Wake 2, it was the Oceanview Hotel because that's what they expected to experience while travelling. One more thing to mess with your head: Exactly what 'Ocean' does it have a 'view' of....? "It's not a lake, it's an ocean....."
1:13:18 There is one particular mission that MUST be played with the music turned on in order to thoroughly enjoy the experience. It's much later on, so no spoilers. But yeah...
I love finding lore stuff to read in games, most of the time it gets a bit much and isn't that interesting. This game though? I scoured every nook and cranny, not for loot, but for documents...and I _devoured_ every last one of them! Most games this stuff it's just "EXPOSITION! IN YOUR FACE!!!" Control, though, makes you think for yourself, piece things together...while being incredibly funny at times.
"parautilitarians" is a tricky word to pronounce even for native english speakers, something to do with the unusual vowel and consonant arrangement in the middle. I've seen native speakers who have done a whole playthrough without getting it right so you're way ahead on that curve haha. Incidently, the audio files that you store for reference often have additional material to when you first hear them in game time. Enjoying your playthrough. Btw: Everything Ahti says does make sense as you play the game more, "the pensioner inside is starting to feel the band around his head tighten" refers to the NSC-02 power plant and what/who is powering it. You can find out later.
I didnt understand why this channel is not famous.. Your energy is so wonderful.. Your facial expressions are so cute (I didnt even talk about your cutie hair braiding) .. I believe one day, you will get what you deserve your reputation (your secret fan)
Hej! I appreciate your interaction, thanks for watching! But may I make a suggestion? You could watch the video and make a comment with a time stamp and edit that message, adding more to it. You made 7 different comments so far with time stamps in this video alone. have a nice day!
1:02:41 While playing, I found that 99% of the time, the Grip worked just fine. Most of the other weapon forms were entirely useless or useful of a specific task. Of course, that's just me.
"Butte" is pronounced byute, rhymes with "cute". The Oceanview Hotel is in Alan Wake II. It's called The Oceanview Motel and Casino in Control. Whether or not they are the same building is unknown, but they are certainly related at the very least.
It's assumed Oceanview motel & casino is the actual Place of power and Oceanview hotel of AW2 is like sister branch of it. P.S: Only thing's interesting is that AW2's Oceanview hotel has room no. till 666 and Control's motel has till room no 235 something. Maybe Dark Place is the central hub, no one knows till now
I liked Control, to my taste it's better than Alan Wake. Just like Alan Wake though I don't understand anything about the story... The map was also a bit confusing for me but in the end it was definitely worth it for the atmosphere and gameplay.
You know, for someone who likes to read in video games you constantly fail to read on-screen notifications, instructions, aquired points and wall/door signs. My suggestion, stop running all the time, read what the game's tries to tell you, in my opinion this game is best enjoyed playing it slowly, soaking it in, finding your way through the oldest house step by step and reading everything! Don't miss any "Threshold Kids" TV episodes. Anyway I hope you keep enjoying as most of us have, multiple times in the past years. 😉
Why don't you watch the hotline recordings from the collectibles? They are longer than the previews and offer more information and a glimpse into Trench's state of mind during his final days as the Bureau director...

36:50 Yep, the door is locked at Security 2. But... you can just smash the glass to get in.
Cheeky buggers at Remedy.

Very funny to listen you pronouncing the Finnish words like Perkele. And you even did great job with it!
thats my nordic blood coming through

22:51 If you rewatch them there is more information in them than if you just see it from while in gameplay. They cut out a lot of words
ahh so like the Manuscript pages in Alan Wake? Gotcha! Thanks!
@@LIZZgame Yeah exactly! 😁
45:39 These are my favorite little scenes. The Ilmo & Jaako of CONTROL.

@@LIZZgame You got it. 🙂👌
I just want to play it again... for the 3rd time to 100% ! Love that game so much.
let's go!

You have definitely been experiencing with strange analomies in the FBC. You are doing awesome job as a Director.
that coffee cup looks bigger than Lizz's head, how mvuch coffee do you drink XD :P
the mug holds 500ml !
ahh the perfect amount ! ahah
The combat is so satisfying!!
it is, yea!
3:43 Yeah, everyone at some point blows themselves up while launching a generator.
I laughed so much her suspicious looking at 28:17 hahahahhah :D
technical support : did you try turning it off and on again XD @13:18
genius idea!
The trick for the map is to almost never use it but instead rely on the building signage, and the games visual hinting.
Yeah the signs really help haha
31:40 As a rule, I never craft Mods. You get so many by just playing the game, and since they're random you're basically gambling with your materials.

even if I would move through the game by crouching, I would miss things. My brain just works different
Hi 👋 Lizz
Why don't you watch the hotline recordings from the collectibles? They are longer than the previews and offer more information and a glimpse into Trench's state of mind during his final days as the Bureau director...
I did, and I was just more confused.
I don't really understand why they changed this fight system to more clumsy and outdated in Alan Wake II (Which was released AFTER Control, mind you)
Because it needs to at least remotely match with Alan Wake 1, which came out many years BEFORE Control. I actually still prefer AW over Control.
Looking forward to more █████████ ████ episodes. They're by far the best ██████ in the history of ████████.
you know you can shoot the windows right lol
Yep
