That’s not a legend that’s inspiration He super good one of my favorite skater watch his part from god speed everyday before I skate. But Ishod need’s couple more year’s to be a legend tony hawk is a legend
Literally, always. Add to that, the occasional knowledge nugget that has hit me on an epiphany level, shiiiiiiit. For instance, I’m sure Crob and I aren’t the only ones who were put on to the idea of a symmetrical board by Ishod. It took all of one session to get used to it-1000% total game changer. Another incredibly useful piece of setup wisdom helped me salvage an old, squeaky ass set of Grind Kings by putting crushed graphite in the the pivot cup, shoutout to Chris Cole for that. I use them on my cruiser now, and it’s stayed filming level stealthy ever since. When you get to be an old and washed mofo like me, any tidbit of insight that actually works is priceless.
Every truck company measures their trucks differently. I just switched today from Indy to Thunder, on the exact same deck my Indy’s were 144 and my new Thunders are 148.
It definitely _is_ crazy how much it matters if a board is 8.25" or 8" or 7.75". In terms of just skating around, it barely matters for the most part. But by the time you're doing tricks, it's a world a difference. But I do think people underestimate the difference in wheelbase that goes along with it. I can get a board to double flip just fine in size 8.5" (not flicking down), it's mostly just making sure you've got the correct foot position. Adjusting to that foot position though and the change in timing... very difficult. So far I've only managed flip tricks on my smallest boards, not the 8.25" or 8.5".
I hear that i was the same way when i was younger but it seems as ive gotten older and a bit stronger i now skate an 8.5 and have no trouble with any of my flip tricks. Maybe have to give it a little more energy but you get used to it
@@michael-mm4zb yeah i got from old stock its the zoo york street maps board from few years ago but the board was still wraped on plastic pretty solid wood too bad it isnt good wood anymore
@@fishfart6585 oh okay. I never really think about the millimeters. I'm so used to just associating the trucks with the board. But when it comes to Ace trucks, that's a whole nother headache
I was exactly the same way. Then I had a couple kids. The weight sticks now haha. Not a lot like 15 lbs but for a guy who struggled to put on 5 all my life well, it’s triple haha
Why not skate both? On my normal street board I have 147 or 148 Thunders. On my 8.8” park/cruiser I have Indy 159s. Both trucks are great and have their strengths and weaknesses.
I started riding 7.25 (10 yrs) bc my friend rode skinny almost boards I went to 7.75 (around 13 hrs) One day I stood on the shop owners 8.5 Real and have been riding that size since only issue is my tre flips are so inconsistent at that width but everything else is butter oh also I've never gripped my own board at this point don't think I will lol it's weird af though I know it's like asking a guy to put your condom on for you. Oh well fuck it
Okay but why do all wades look the same though? I have a boy named Wade that looks just like this Wade 😂 except fake PA Wade sucks at skateboarding lol
Ishod is such a legend he makes other legends rethink their board setups.

Could have not been said better

Love these board setup videos
Did We ever get a Westgate one?

im just lovin' the phrase "Christmas complete" 😆😄 thats great
I’m loving that in 2023 just hearing it. Lmfao
Indy TM ain’t gonna be too hyped after seeing this lol
Everyone getting older and skating bigger boards reminds me of all the bmx dudes buying downhill bikes lmao
Always so interesting to see what and why pros setup their boards

HEy Wade!. Little tip fo you..Thunder lights 148 are 50mm low. Only the team model and hollowlights are higher 148 than 147..
Crob: *I SKATE INDY'S*
THUNDERS CO.: ......
That’ll wreck your day for a week, like that quotes amazing, wades a sick skater 🤣🤣🤣
We are the same weight crob! I can also sit around eating whatever and i never really gain. Im 33 years old.
Don't understand how these dudes have skated their whole lives and they don't understand what trucks they ride
It’s like another language to them, it’s not that hard
Every truck company measures their trucks differently. I just switched today from Indy to Thunder, on the exact same deck my Indy’s were 144 and my new Thunders are 148.
They don’t buy anything. It’s not like they sit down and order trucks or go to a shop and have to pick them out. They get boxes from reps.
149s fit perfectly on my 8.75 football shape and I absolutely love it
its the nice thing about thunders dudes they knew each other close
man, I tried riding an 8.625 Nick Boserio with 149 after a 10 years hiatus.. it was huge..I got an 8...with ventures. much better.
I started skating in 99 and still cant understand how these dudes ride big boards lol
My current setup is an 8.5 w/ 149 Indy Tiago Mids..53mm F4 Spitfire Classics...
Looking to get a big masher setup for filming..
Wade des Ormeaux!
This had me cracking up
Sup wade!! From ottawa with love ✌️

Kellys reaction to Chris weighing 145 🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha!
Definitely on team malto saving half the burrito for later 😂
Wade is definitely in my top five❤🛹
if you are riding indys and have a 8.25 you should be on 144's
I just got the winkowski hollow 144's sooo good
Not necessarily
It’s all preference
i rode the 139 for years, switched to 144 when they came out, but im seriousley considering switching back to 139, the pinch is different.
You can actually ride 139's on an 8.25
Ace 44s are where it’s at
Zoo 8.125 x 32(chapman wood made in us) venture 139mm lows spits radial slims 52 f4 bones reds royal 7/8 allen bolts mob grip 🙃
When’d you get that zoo board because if it’s recent it might be clutch wood because Chapman isn’t making their own boards right now
@@michael-mm4zb yeah i got from old stock its the zoo york street maps board from few years ago but the board was still wraped on plastic pretty solid wood too bad it isnt good wood anymore
Venture doesn't have a 139 truck
Venture sizing are 5.0, 5.25, 5.6, 5.8 & 6.1
@@ohitsjuskenny yeah i knoe they actually 136mm=5.25

Can someone explain the joke with Chris always saying he skates thunders but he's sponsored by independent?? Lmao
Best vibes

Sponsored by Independent by skates Thunders. Sounds like Eric Koston
Chris just ride the 144 titanium Indys best truck
Thunders are kinda errrrgh

he looks like a kid getting his Make A Wish dream come true!
Get kader on
G069 or G027
How tf does Chris still not know what trucks he rides?? Look under the damn axel Chris lol
🤦♂️
Cause he’s just throwing down without thinking nowadays, not stopping to look at his board at all hahaha
Why are boards getting wider when most dudes ride 7.75- 8.2?
Cause dudes be ridin them
what me and chris weigh the same amount
in too old for trucks sizes.... 😞 don’t get em and i never know how to ask for em
I wonder how this sounds to non skaters... 🤠
