Well designed, surprisingly good story on a second glance, amazing music, great chaining system. It feels pretty epic at certain points. Hard to describe really. I guess this is all very subjective.

I used to like playing games, now I just like to look like I'm watching a movie. While watching, I can see the art, details and backgrounds in more detail. This gives me more pleasure. And the real pleasure is knowing that the real artist, the supreme architect of the universe, created the whole image, not "outside", but "inside the brain", showing the electrical signal as a painting.

@@Video-Games-Are-Fun Radiant Silvergun is a bullet hell too, softer but still. Ironically is harder than Ikaruga, on Ikaruga you can simply ignore most of the bullets because of the polarity system, unlike here, it's also much more longer than Ikaruga, (story mode specifically). it's a shame that Ikaruga never had a sequel, because a trilogy was originally planned.
I've found the lack of slowdown to be not that big a deal in the end. Stage 2 focuses on more difficult bosses, and Stage 4 focuses more on the stage. I actually have much less trouble with Stage 4 than with Stage 2. If you JUST chain 4A, it gives you a pretty good leeway for a higher score, and allows you to focus on survival a bit more.

Race has nothing to do with it. You just need to have the patience for it. I know I have and achieved results. I get better and better at this game each time. Now if only I can get my desired recording equipment, I can show off.

In some parts you can really hear the musical resemblance to Final Fantasy Tactics.

I wish they'd port the enhanced version to PC. They did Ikaruga but this is the better game.
this game is far more fun than ikaruga. lot more playable too instead of constantly worrying about dying from bullet hell
