Shogo's biggest flaws was that he's no leader and he's soft because he has his underlings do the dirty work for him. Kazuo was a natural leader and knows how to take charge. His biggest flaws is his small worldview. He doesn't seem to get that things operate differently outside of Japan and he naively thought his enemies had a sense of honor. He never really guided his son to lead and only berates him. What these two had in common was pride and that was their ultimate downfall. Had these two actually seen eye to eye, they would've been a force to be recond with. They might've even been the gang that defeated the saints for good.
Fun fact: There is a PS1 game called "Akuji the Heartless" which makes me wonder if Kazuo's real name was Akuji or if he's secretly a fan of the game and decided to just change his name to "Akuji" as a reference to it only to remember it is the Japanese equivalent of being named "McEvil".
To those who think the player has an Australian accent, it is actually a southern English Cockney accent Understandable that you thought it was Australian in the first place since they both sound relatively similar to some degree
I think they should have saved Kazuo's ability to speak English a secret until he met Vogel. That would have further legitimized his "bogeyman" status.
I love how the final boss assumed the Boss would give him a fair fight, then he loses and assumes the boss will give him a clean death. Wrong on both fronts.
I love how the boss keeps his back turned to gat when he’s kicking the shit out of shogo and doesn’t get involved until he buries him. It’s just him and gat. Such a powerful scene
This Scene in Bleeding out would be more interessting and better, if the Boss was also a Hostage in the House, similar to the Mission Bad Trip. And after the Execution from Aisha, Jyunichi scratches the boss's face with his katana and tries to slowly kill him until Gat attacks him. After Gat is wounded, the boss breaks free from the chair in extreme anger and jumps and fights with Jyunichi out the window.
The First dialogue between Shogo and Jyunichi, Jyunichi is talking about how their chances for going against his father are impossible. The scene with the sword fight against Gat, he says "He's mine!" the rest is self explanatory

Best part about this game, they let you rewatch AND replay missions at the crib. This game is an absolute masterpiece.
