This is the most helpful video that I've watched in the last four months that I've been trying to build my business. There's so much garbage fluff out there that gets hard to watch when you've been staying up nights working two jobs and you've only made 7 sales. It's a constant battle to stay focused and PUSH.

Excited for 2025 and the guidance . I'm a physical etsy seller and I'm just so done w/ spending my whole holiday season crocheting my fingers to the bone for a few bucks. Wow George! After the first few minutes I pushed pause and signed up for Skool, then watched the rest of your video in awe. I also had trauma as a kid which will never completely go away. I’ve worked my backside off trying to be better and have felt at times like nice people finish last. I’m so glad that isn’t the case with you, that you have stuck your finger up at your personal situation and then showed everyone how wrong they were to think they could break you, or you wouldn’t get anywhere. I’m often rolling my eyes at the “rich Etsy gurus” saying how well they’re doing while I’m still paying off last Summer’s electricity bill from 9 months ago. But with you I’m so glad you have thrived and done so well, obviously you have worked hard and earned it too. Anyway, I’m rambling, I’m just so emotional and grateful by your video. Exactly! Yes! I almost said it in the video but held back-these fake people claiming they "know" what it's like. Really? So they know what it's like to have $100 in your pocket but $500 in bills and have to figure out which ones to pay, which to skip, and still find a way to eat? Sure. If they did they wouldn't be asking for thousands for a course. It gets under my skin so much. I kept my composure enough and didn't go on too much of a rant, lol. I've been tossing around the idea of getting into pod for a while now and the plethora of repetitive garbage out there did nothing but make my head spin. So much so that it completely put me off on the idea a few months ago to the point I never even listed a first item because it seemed like nothing was the right product or the right design unless you wanted to just dump a bunch of money into ads or happened to get really lucky. I've been subscribed to your channel for a while and I can tell that this is (you are) different and it's a more realistic approach to what it likely really takes and what to expect along the way. I'm a former handmade Etsy seller and currently own a brick and mortar with my husband. Your story is very relatable (I am so sorry you experienced childhood like you did) and we are currently teetering on that line of feeling like we just can't catch a break. As for these fake "experts," the way they mimic each other like dodos is a big red flag that they don’t really know what they’re talking about. For example, not a single one of them mentioned all the algorithm changes, and even after I launched a video about it, it took them over a month to follow suit. They all said the same thing, and it never was everything that was involved. Even some of the stuff I mentioned is still not out there for people. That’s a clear sign they either don’t actually want to help or don’t even run a shop themselves. Definitely something to watch out for!

I agree. I joined some courses in the monthly pay basis, and I cancelled all of them. The reason, just like you said, there was no value, only the same information I can find by myself. I left negative feedback to one of them. I think she got upset with me, but I had to. Looking forward to join your course.
Exactly! It’s like a bunch of dodo birds just repeating each other. Any advice that’s actually good usually comes from people who took the course, found success outside of it, and then the course creators claim it was part of the program all along.

How do we know you didn't rent that property for a day to take a photoshoot to sell courses, they always start with free, then it turns into paid memberships and courses? You wouldn't be the first "success story" who has done that. Why do you need to be on UA-cam? Is your Etsy business not bringing in enough money now? I appreciate your good intentions and your success but this video was such a waste of time. From the toxic 10 min intro of constantly bashing other Etsy UA-camrs -- what's the point? Why wasting my time with this? You want to help? Just focused on yourself and give value instead of spreading toxic against others -- to another 15 min full of fluff and your personal story almost without any relevance to Etsy. The only relevant comment was 4 min before the end about the amount of hours your worked. That's it. Out of 25 min video. A successful person like you must know that time is our most valuable resource. If you want to help so much, give real value and don't waste if with fluff and toxicity.

Wow George! After the first few minutes I pushed pause and signed up for Skool, then watched the rest of your video in awe. I also had trauma as a kid which will never completely go away. I’ve worked my backside off trying to be better and have felt at times like nice people finish last. I’m so glad that isn’t the case with you, that you have stuck your finger up at your personal situation and then showed everyone how wrong they were to think they could break you, or you wouldn’t get anywhere. I’m often rolling my eyes at the “rich Etsy gurus” saying how well they’re doing while I’m still paying off last Summer’s electricity bill from 9 months ago. But with you I’m so glad you have thrived and done so well, obviously you have worked hard and earned it too. Anyway, I’m rambling, I’m just so emotional and grateful by your video. Exactly! Yes! I almost said it in the video but held back-these fake people claiming they "know" what it's like. Really? So they know what it's like to have $100 in your pocket but $500 in bills and have to figure out which ones to pay, which to skip, and still find a way to eat? Sure. If they did they wouldn't be asking for thousands for a course. It gets under my skin so much.

I've been tossing around the idea of getting into pod for a while now and the plethora of repetitive garbage out there did nothing but make my head spin. So much so that it completely put me off on the idea a few months ago to the point I never even listed a first item because it seemed like nothing was the right product or the right design unless you wanted to just dump a bunch of money into ads or happened to get really lucky. I've been subscribed to your channel for a while and I can tell that this is (you are) different and it's a more realistic approach to what it likely really takes and what to expect along the way. I'm a former handmade Etsy seller and currently own a brick and mortar with my husband. Your story is very relatable (I am so sorry you experienced childhood like you did) and we are currently teetering on that line of feeling like we just can't catch a break. Thanks to you I think I'm willing to give pod a real chance. I just signed up!

I'm glad that you have forgiven your mother so that you can move on with your life (not that what she did was ok) but it's nice to hear that you are releasing that bitterness and do something good with your life now. As for these fake "experts," the way they mimic each other like dodos is a big red flag that they don’t really know what they’re talking about. For example, not a single one of them mentioned all the algorithm changes, and even after I launched a video about it, it took them over a month to follow suit. They all said the same thing, and it never was everything that was involved. Even some of the stuff I mentioned is still not out there for people. That’s a clear sign they either don’t actually want to help or don’t even run a shop themselves. Definitely something to watch out for!

I agree. I joined some courses in the monthly pay basis, and I cancelled all of them. The reason, just like you said, there was no value, only the same information I can find by myself. I left negative feedback to one of them. I think she got upset with me, but I had to. Looking forward to join your course.
Exactly! It’s like a bunch of dodo birds just repeating each other. Any advice that’s actually good usually comes from people who took the course, found success outside of it, and then the course creators claim it was part of the program all along.

I appreciate your good intentions and your success but this video was such a waste of time. From the toxic 10 min intro of constantly bashing other Etsy UA-camrs -- what's the point? Why wasting my time with this? You want to help? Just focused on yourself and give value instead of spreading toxic against others -- to another 15 min full of fluff and your personal story almost without any relevance to Etsy. The only relevant comment was 4 min before the end about the amount of hours your worked. That's it. Out of 25 min video. A successful person like you must know that time is our most valuable resource. If you want to help so much, give real value and don't waste if with fluff and toxicity.
