Love how clean this looks, I'm trying to keep my S3 OEM+ and this would tick that box. Would it fit our S38Vs and would you prefer his over your dash cam?
Thanks for the video, didn't know this was an option, hate the thought of cables round the screen. My new A4 has a speed sign recognition & rain sensing wipers so not 100% sure if it is still compatible.
Thank you Ranj for this video. It is the most helpful of all the Audi Fitcamx videos I could find on UA-cam - better than Fitcam's own. However it still took me three hours to fit the camera to my Q8. The two tools they provided (blue plastic and black felted metal) were totally useless. I had to use a box cutter and a flat head screwdriver to open up the plastic covers. I them puzzled for ages as to which of the five wires to disconnect from the mirror housing and then how to actually unclip it. I didn't want to pull it too hard like in the various videos. I then wasn't sure how to tuck in the wires without damaging them as I put all three plastic covers back together. Any way it worked in the end so thank you.
love this! I've thoroughly enjoyed my dashcam since having it. can't even tell its there tbh, and recently someone cut in front of me, and it was so easy to download the footage to my phone 😆
Well... it looks nice, the video image is par for the course in 2023. No technical specs at all... resolution chip, FOV, max SD management, GPS. Nothing. And zero rear cam option. Most I'd pay for that is like... $100, mostly because it's designed for my particular vehicle and that's it. Otherwise a crappy Viafo will do the job.
The rear cam is of course annoying, but most people really only want a front cam. Personally, I'd like both. With regard to the techinal specifications, I didn't really look into it. I belive it does have GPS built in. I think the design, and how P&P it is, is really the selling point! The quality of the camera is very good too.
There is an option for a rear cam too! So make you sure get some discount either way 🙌🏽

I have just been installing it on my S3, the mirror dropped off too. Wish I had seen this video first though

Does it continue recording while the car is parked and the engine is switched off? Is that power supply always active?
That depends on how you wire it. Mine is only active when ignition is on.
